A new rocket attack is reported on the US base of Deir Ezzor in Syria, 04.10.2023.

A series of violent explosions have exploded inside one of the largest US bases in the Conico gas field in the Deir Ezzor governorate in eastern Syria. The Conico natural gas field is one of the largest military bases of the US occupation forces and is closely guarded by them.

Several local sources told Sputnik that flames and columns of smoke were rising strongly from the heart of the US Army base in Camp Conico, after it was attacked by unknown people with several missiles.

The sources confirmed that an intense flight of American helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft covered the sky of the area surrounding the natural gas field that is dominated by the American military. Ambulances and firefighting vehicles quickly headed to the sites of the fire inside the base.

At the same time, patrols of militants affiliated with the American army in the QASD organization closed all roads in the region.

The Conico natural gas field is one of the largest military bases of the American occupation forces. There is a thermal balloon over the field belonging to the American occupation forces to monitor the movements in the surroundings.

In February 2022, from the Syrian Oil Ministry revealed that "the US occupation forces and their mercenaries steal up to 66,000 barrels per day from the fields they occupy in eastern Syria out of their total daily production of 80,300 barrels".

The spokesperson for the US Central Command (CENTCOM) Colonel Joe Buccino disclosed on Thursday that 11 more US troops based in Syria have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury after a series of retaliatory strikes against illegal US bases in March.

According to CNN, Buccino affirmed that the US military’s medical teams are continuing to evaluate and assess their troops for indications of permanent and traumatic brain injuries.
    Illustrative: US Air Force file

The US personnel wounded in these attacks in Syria amount to 25 troops, including a US military contractor, who was killed at a facility in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah province on March 23. Washington claims the perpetrators of the attack were affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

On the same day of the attack on the US base, US troops carried out "precision airstrikes" in eastern Syria. The presence of the US occupation forces in Syria is deemed illegal under international law.

According to a March 30 CNN report, six US soldiers had also been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries as a result of attacks from Iran-backed groups in Syria.

Similar brain injuries were sustained by over 100 US soldiers in 2020 after Iranian forces targeted the Ain al-Asad military base in Iraq, where US forces were stationed.

Not long ago I would have said the same about Saudi Arabia, but I think reality is setting in that the US and the west are just using the Middle East for their energy resources and western plans to drop hydrocarbon fuels by 2030 to 2050 means that the countries of the Middle East are no longer going to be very relevant to the west any more and will be dropped like a hot stone.

As such, these countries have to help themselves and join groups that are less destructive and less likely to order them around and demand changes in their culture and human rights, but also want to trade and develop and grow in new directions... it is really sad that the EU is not learning this lesson too... even as we speak their energy infrastructure has been largely destroyed by the US making them much weaker, but still they sit and pant and try to look cute with their heads on an angle for their masters the US. Their problem is that their masters are arse holes and don't think of them as lap dogs... they are working dogs and their job is to damage Russia or China or anyone else they want and if they can't do that job then they might just put them down or release them to the wild to fend for themselves on their own.

Pushkov announced the loss of the US fight for Syria, 05.10.2023.

Pushkov: US has lost the battle for Syria and cannot change the new reality.

The United States has lost the battle for Syria, Washington's statements are not able to change the new reality. The corresponding position was expressed on May 9 by Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov after the decision taken by the Foreign Ministers of the League of Arab States (LAS) to return Syria to the organization.

“The US statement that Syria “does not deserve” such a return is not capable of changing the new reality: these are already rearguard statements after the battle for Syria lost by Washington,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Pushkov added that the restoration of Syria's membership in the organization disavows statements made in 2011 by a number of Western and Arab leaders about the inevitability of the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad.

Earlier, on May 7, the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Arab League decided to resume Syria's participation in meetings of the Council and all structures of the league. It includes 22 countries, including Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain. The headquarters of the organization is located in Cairo.

On the same day, Moscow welcomed the resumption of Syria's participation in the activities of the Arab League, as this will contribute to the improvement of the atmosphere in the region.

Later, on May 9, it became known about the decision of the authorities of Saudi Arabia to resume the work of its diplomatic mission in Syria due to the improvement of relations between the republic and other Arab states.

Syria's participation in the Arab League was suspended in November 2011, when the crisis in the country escalated into an armed conflict. Saudi Arabia closed its embassy in Damascus in March 2012.

The Russian Air Force has worked auto-protection because of the drones of the US coalition in Syria, 07.07.2023.

In Syria, because of the drones of the US coalition, the airborne defense systems of the Russian Air Force worked.

Due to the approach of drones of the US -led international anti-terrorist coalition in Syria, on-board defense systems worked on Russian aircraft, and false thermal targets were shot. This was announced on July 7 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

“In both cases, the impact of guidance systems was recorded, which led to the automatic operation of the onboard defense systems of Russian aircraft and the shooting of false thermal targets,” said Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria (TsPVS).

The Russian servicemen showed high professionalism, taking the necessary measures in time to prevent a collision with the UAV of the American coalition, he added.

Also, according to him, over the past day, nine cases of violations of deconfliction protocols using drones by the US coalition were recorded, seven of which occurred in an area closed to air flights due to joint Russian-Syrian military exercises.

In addition, Gurinov recalled that the Russian military is not responsible for the risks of uncoordinated flights for US coalition aviation.

“We remind you that the Russian side is not responsible for the safety of uncoordinated flights of coalition aircraft, especially in the closed area of the exercises,” he said.

The day before, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov said that the US-led international anti-terrorist coalition in Syria violated deconflict protocols nine times over the past day in an area closed to flights in connection with the exercises of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the SAR Air Force.

In addition, on this day, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the start of joint exercises of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the SAR Air Force in Syria, during which issues of controlling the airspace of the Arab Republic are being worked out. It is specified that the exercises will last until mid-July.

Earlier, on July 4, Russia expressed concern about the systematic violations of deconfliction protocols related to the flights of U.S. coalition drones in Syria.

On July 1, Gurinov pointed out that aviation and UAVs of the international anti-terrorist coalition violated flight safety in the SAR 315 times in June.

The United States recognized powerlessness in the face of the actions of Russian fighters in Syria, by Olga Ivanova for VZGLYAD. 07.23.2023.

The US's ability to contain Russia's behavior in Syria is limited, the US should not be at war with Russia, said Joel Rubin, former deputy assistant secretary of state in the administration of former President Barack Obama.

In his opinion, Russia is likely to continue to test US compliance, especially after communication between the two countries was further interrupted due to the conflict in Ukraine, reports Fox News Digital .

In addition, Long War Journal editor-in-chief Bill Rogio also believes there is little the United States can do to deter Russia's actions in Syria, noting that any direct confrontation with Russian forces is fraught with escalation.

According to the newspaper, Rogio's words came after several incidents between Russian fighters and American aircraft in the skies over Syria. Specifically, the Pentagon reported this month that Russian jets were flying alongside several US drones. The publication also reports that a day earlier, Russian Su-35 fighters crossed the flight path of American MO-9 Reaper drones and forced the unmanned aerial vehicle to maneuver.

The publication reports on two other occasions when Russia conducted a reconnaissance mission over a US military garrison and intercepted an MQ-9 drone on the same day that a Russian aircraft flew over the al-Tanf garrison, which houses US troops in northern Syria, for an extended period of time.

Recall, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria, pointed out that American coalition fighters in Syria violated Syrian airspace five times in the Al-Tanf region, where international air routes are located.

Gurinov also noted that the US coalition "purposefully and systematically"  violates  agreements on flight safety in Syria. In particular, Western UAVs  intruded  into the zone of Russian-Syrian exercises closed for flights.

Russia has repeatedly pointed out the illegality of the presence of American troops in Syria - they, unlike units of the Russian Armed Forces, are on Syrian territory without the invitation of the country's government.

Media: the actions of the Aerospace Forces made the Americans think about leaving Syria

Newsweek: US Air Force planes have to dodge in Syria from the maneuvers of the pilots of the Aerospace Forces.

MOSCOW, July 24 - RIA Novosti. The maneuvers of Russian pilots in Syria force American pilots to evade and raise the question of the appropriateness of the presence of US troops in the Arab Republic, writes Daniel DePetris, a columnist for Newsweek magazine.

“Russian fighter jets continue to challenge US positions in Syrian airspace, forcing US aircraft to perform evasive maneuvers <…>. What makes the Russians behave so decisively? The answer is simple: we don’t know,” the publication says.

Incidents between the Russian and US military in Syria have happened before, writes DePetris. As one of the most striking episodes of this kind, the author of the article cites the collision of a Russian military truck with an American armored personnel carrier in August 2020.

However, despite the inevitability of such situations, DePetris raises a more important question about the very need for the presence of American troops in Syria and the appropriateness of the risk of a possible collision with the Russian Aerospace Forces , whose actions he compares to the behavior of "easy-going youths going on a pleasure ride at a speed of 80 miles per hour."

According to DePetris, possible incidents with Russian troops could be attributed to costs if the US presence in Syria really served the interests of the American people.

The Russian Defence Ministry has repeatedly pointed out the violation of agreements by the US Air Force in Syria. So, on July 14, American fighters violated Syrian airspace five times in the Al-Tanf region , through which international air routes pass. A few days later, the F-16 pilots used the guidance system against the Russian aircraft. In total , 12 violations of the deconfliction protocols were revealed by the "international anti-terrorist coalition" led by the United States in just one day. All of them are related to drone flights that were not coordinated with the Russian side.

whose actions he compares to the behavior of "easy-going youths going on a pleasure ride at a speed of 80 miles per hour."

Amusing because the behaviour of US forces in Syria are the cynical thought out actions of a calculating home invader stealing oil and murdering anyone that gets in their way while teaming up with ISIS and Al quada terrorists and murderers and rapists.

The Russian Defence Ministry has repeatedly pointed out the violation of agreements by the US Air Force in Syria.

What a shock.... Americans not sticking to agreements made again in Syria... but then they don't stick to their agreements anywhere with anyone...

African politicians have pointed out as much in recent speeches that the west cannot be trusted.

Post  Kiko Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:14 pm

Why America is sending troops to Syria, by Rafael Fakhrutdinov for VZGLYAD. 07.24.2023.

Expert: the United States is preparing in Syria for a serious military operation involving aviation.

The United States is increasing its military presence in Syria, explaining this by the need to train the Kurds to counter the pro-Iranian forces. However, the expert community believes that the buildup of American forces is caused by a desire to put pressure on Moscow. How is what is happening in Syria connected with the special operation in Ukraine, and what position will another important player in the region, Turkey, take in this situation?

The US command has transferred additional military equipment and logistics from Iraq to its bases in Syria. This was reported by the Syrian newspaper  Al Watan  , citing sources in opposition groups. According to them, several military transport convoys crossed the Al-Walid border checkpoint and entered the territory of the northeastern province of Hasakah.

Together with armored vehicles,  a large group of American military personnel was also transferred to Syria  . According to the publication, since July 15, their number has increased from 500 to 1.5 thousand people. Part of the military-technical personnel is assisting in the training of Kurdish fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces, while others are guarding airfields and oil and gas fields in Hasek and the neighboring province of Deir ez-Zor, TASS  reports .

The strengthening of Washington's military presence in Syria takes place against the backdrop of an aggravation of the confrontation between the United States and Russia in the region. So, last Saturday, an MQ-9 Reaper drone of the US-led international coalition dangerously  approached  Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft in the Al-Bab area. This was announced by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria Oleg Gurinov.

According to him, due to the impact of guidance systems on aircraft, defense complexes automatically worked. At the same time, the Russian pilots "demonstrated high professionalism, taking the necessary measures in a timely manner to prevent a collision," he said.

In addition, on July 20, Gurinov reported that F-16 fighters of the US-led international coalition  affected  the guidance systems on the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. At the end of May, he also pointed out that US Air Force pilots  activate  weapons systems when approaching Russian aircraft in the air.

During such incidents, according to  the  US Central Command, Russian fighters allegedly performed "unsafe and unprofessional maneuvers." At the same time, Russian aircraft  have  every right to be there - in Syria, at the request of the government of the country, there is a Russian air base.

Also in the region, Russian-Syrian military exercises were recently held, during which joint actions of aviation, air defense forces and equipment and electronic warfare were worked out in repelling air strikes. Accordingly, the sky in the area was closed, and American drones violated the ban.

They acted illegally - as, indeed, all the US military, who are de facto illegally located in the east and southeast of Syria. Their presence is not a consequence of the UN Security Council resolution or direct agreements with the legitimate Syrian authorities.

At the same time, in the States themselves, not everyone considers the actions of their army in Syria correct. The United States' ability to contain Russia's behavior in Syria is limited,  said  Joel Rubin, a former deputy assistant secretary of state in the administration of former President Barack Obama. In his opinion, Russia is likely to continue to test the compliance of the United States, especially after communication between the two countries was further interrupted due to the conflict in Ukraine, reports  Fox News Digital.

However, the US is considering a military response to Russia's presence in Syrian skies amid rising tensions,  the Daily Express reported last week  , citing a senior Pentagon official. Confirmation of the activation of the United States in the Syrian direction can also be the fact that earlier congressmen submitted a bill calling on the States to support international efforts to hold the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad "accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity," reports Al Jazeera.

“In general, the United States is really afraid of attacks by pro-Iranian militias on American military facilities in Syria, but I see a threefold increase in the contingent for training Kurdish fighters as unnecessary. I think the States are preparing for some kind of serious military operation involving aviation located at the military base in El Udeid in Qatar, ”said Kirill Semenov, an orientalist and expert at the Russian Council on International Affairs.

“If we talk about the area in which the Americans expect a conflict, then the most likely candidate is the city of Al-Qamishli in northeastern Syria. Pro-Iranian forces and Kurdish formations are mixed there. There is also a Russian military base on the territory of the local airport, and Russian checkpoints in the whole region. If there were any provocation from anyone's side, everything could flare up,” the analyst warned.

“Turkey, obviously, will also oppose the increase in the US military presence in the region. Moreover, Ankara will do it on international platforms at a high level. She will accuse the United States of supporting terrorist organizations, which Turkey considers Kurdish entities to be,” the interlocutor believes.

Vladimir Vasiliev, chief researcher at the Institute for the USA and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences, looks at the situation differently. “The US is always playing on multiple tables. The main vector now is a frontal attack on Russia by the hands of Ukrainians. But if the failure on this flank of their foreign policy worsens, and the loudly advertised “counteroffensive” does not bear fruit, then the States will pull Plan B out of the cloth – it concerns Syria,” Vasiliev believes .

“It seems that Washington decided to activate the Syrian case after Prigozhin’s rebellion.

They expect to escalate the situation in the republic and involve the RF Armed Forces in it. In addition, the Biden administration needs victorious geopolitical decisions before the elections. Syria is a long-term project of the US authorities, which Barack Obama was involved in. The Democrats inherited this project and are now returning to it, ”the analyst detailed.

“Probably, the United States will escalate the situation in Syria on the rise, as well as in Ukraine. The Turkish factor is also important here, which we need to take into account,” the expert added. However, there is another point of view. Thus, the Americanist Malek Dudakov believes that pressure on Russia in Syria is not Washington's priority.

“In general, there are influential people in the Biden administration and in the Trump team who are sure that it is time for the Americans to leave Syria. Obviously, this should not be expected before the elections, but in 2024, most likely, American forces will be redirected from the region either to Eastern Europe to counter Russia, or to the Asia-Pacific region to spar with China,” he said.

“Based on this, we can conclude that if there are clashes between the Americans and Russian troops in Syria, it will be only by chance. It is not worth waiting for targeted provocations from the United States in this geopolitical sector,” the interlocutor concludes.

Russian fighters in Syria recorded the impact of guidance systems, by Olga Nikitina for VZGLYAD. 08.11.2023.

Ministry of Defense: Four aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria were affected by guidance systems.

During a planned flight on Friday in the Syrian region of Al-Tanf, two Su-34 and two Su-35 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces recorded the impact on them of the guidance and radar systems of two F-35 fighters of the Western coalition led by the United States, said the deputy head of the Russian Center for the reconciliation of the warring parties (CPVS) in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.

Kulit said that this happened on Friday from 02.13 to 02.20. The onboard defense systems of Russian aircraft worked automatically, TASS reports.

The same planes, according to the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in Syria, were subjected to radar effects from two F-35 fighters.

By creating such incidents, the US coalition creates the prerequisites for aviation incidents and aggravates the situation in the airspace of the Arab Republic, Kulit emphasized.

Earlier this week, it was reported that in the area of the village of Ain Isa, Raqqa province, a US-led coalition MQ-9 drone dangerously approached a Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

Two F-35 fighters of the pro-American coalition made a dangerous rendezvous with two Su-35 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria, said.

According to him, the incident occurred in the morning in the Al-Tanf area at an altitude of about 9000 meters.

“There was a dangerous convergence of two F-35 fighters of the coalition with a pair of Su-35 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which were making a planned flight along the southern border of Syria,” Kulit said.

He noted that the Russian pilots demonstrated high professionalism and promptly took the necessary measures to prevent a collision.

By such actions, the representative of the center of the Ministry of Defense pointed out, the coalition creates dangerous preconditions for aviation accidents and aggravates the situation in the airspace of Syria.

Should the terrorist state USA seriously want to cut off the Syrian border with Iraq, there will be a reaction from Iran and Moscow will have to decide whether to go along with it or stand still.

The recent ISIS attack on the positions of the Syrian army in the east of this country is the most extensive and dangerous operation since the liberation of these areas in 2017 until today.

ISIS's goal of carrying out this operation coincided with plan of the Americans regarding "hitting the stability of the Syrian desert" and "cutting the land communication routes of east and west of Syria".

The Syrian army has announced that American drones have helped ISIS during this attack in identifying the positions of the Syrian army.

Us trying to return the favor for stuff like what is going on in Africa. Lots of paper sacks filled with tens of thousands are being given to unscrupulous bedouins. I hate that we are doing what we are doing in Syria. Though I will say I am pleased by the gumption of our Airforce in giving some sport back at the Russian pilots. Thought we had all turned to fags in our military.

Deir-ez-Zor military council is full of ex-ISIS types that the SDF themselves kept in power with American mediation

Now there's trouble in paradise. Who could have guessed.
As they say - I wish the very best of luck to both sides!

On the other hand in these last days many false news related to Syria have been issued.

First of all, the desert movements of the #SAA and its allies are related to the usual rotations and no operation is being prepared against the eastern bank of the Euphrates.

Secondly, the reinforcements brought to Daraa and Quneitra are purely defensive and deterrent in nature, as the conditions of the SAA are not suitable for entering into a direct conflict with Israel (the priority of the Syrian Army and Government is to retake full control of the country).

And thirdly, the arrival of Russian weaponry in Syria does not mean preparation for a regional conflict either. The Syrian army will receive more such assistance soon, which is encouraging as Russia seems to be getting more involved in the Syrian conflict and providing the necessary resources to the SAA to deal with the ISIS insurgency in the desert as well as continuing to upgrade Syrian troops for the future operation in Idlib. 🇸🇾
