Travelled across downtown Moscow today, by metro, by cab, as you guys can see, life is normal. Didn't hear a single air raid siren going off. The small gathering of people near Line 2 of the metro mostly consists of Uzbek workers fixing some issues. Western media took those images and reported it as a huge crowd protesting against the war outside Moscow's metro stations.

I wonder if they can take that part under Moldova easily ? There is just one road connecting it to the rest of Ukraine accross the water. From there they can encircle Odessa and protect their soldier in Transnistria. The only thing that stops them is the anti ship missiles that could potentially destroy all their landing ships.

They could even bring in ka-52 to attack rear bases or even some su-25.

Much better solution than dropping unguided bombs with questionable precision and you know it. RuAF definitely failed by not having bombs that are modular like the mk80 series. Buying a handful of purpose built guided bombs clearly fails during war when you need many.

Summary of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the progress of a special military operation (12.03.2023)

In the Kupyansk direction, artillery fire of the "Western" grouping of troops during the day struck AFU units in the areas of Masyutovka, Dvurechnaya, Pershotravneve of Kharkiv Region and Novoselovskoye of Luhansk People's Republic.

In addition, the actions of five sabotage and reconnaissance groups were suppressed in the areas of Stelmakhovka of the Luhansk People's Republic, Sinkovka, Liman First and Berestovoye of the Kharkiv region. Casualties of the enemy in this direction for a day amounted to 45 Ukrainian soldiers, two armored fighting vehicles and four vehicles.

Military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report on the deployment of autonomous surveillance systems "Murom-P" by Russian troops

The Russian military began to use Murom-P long-range visual surveillance systems on the front line to monitor Ukrainian positions. This is reported by Ukrainian sources with reference to the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The autonomous mobile complex for video-thermal imaging surveillance "Murom-P" was developed by the Russian company STILSOFT and was accepted for supplying the border troops of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in 2018. Colleagues - this is UPAB-1500B-E, flies for 40 km, in other words, the strike on Avdeevka was somewhere beyond Khartsyzsk.

Add an interesting feature here, that for the last three to five months, the RF Armed Forces have been hunting for air defense / radar in the first line of defense. We wrote about this often. The Russians did this so that the planes could safely reach the maximum height and drop such bombs.

In western Ukraine a Russian Forces Kinzhal struck a bunker extending to 80 metres deep.

The RF believes this bunker near Lvov was a NATO strategic command point used to control anti-aircraft systems.

It’s still early days but the RF assumes there were up to 300 personnel in the bunker, 40 of which were high ranking foreign specialists...

about those AFU brigades waiting to strike against Russian forces I have heard as well.  But when we know...let me guess Russian generals know as well.  So 10 brigades you cannot hide so they cannot be unseen, logistics alone is visible, food, ammo fuel...neither elint silence.

The question is what Russians have prepared for them? is there  elimination of NATO aad command in Lvov or around "NATO decision center" in Kiev's bunker a part of preparations?

I am curious what Putin will say to Xi when he comes to Moscow with the peace deal drafted by the Academy of Military Sciences

Xi apparently wants Putin to give an honest assessment of losses and economic situation in Russia, for him to go back to Beijing and inform the CPC how China will proceed when it comes to the war

The AMS has said Russian losses and economic situation means the SMO will be over by end of 2023

I doubt this, but I do agree the Bakhmut approach is just not feasible - there are too many losses to continue this approach especially for urban battles like Slavyansk and Kramatorsk which will be coming at end of 2023, or maybe even in 2024

While Wagner can take those losses it's clear the military cannot- and who knows how long Wagner will be out for after Bakhmut, the chechens have not been seen since Mariupol and that gives some indication to how big those losses were , sure Alaudys unit in Kremennaya is there, but certainly they are not at the level they were in Mariupol, and Wagner will also need a lot of time to reconstitute after Bakhmut

Sure Russia has no timetable, but what we do know is the level of losses cannot be sustained
