Judging by these videos, helicopter pilots hit targets at distances exceeding 6 kilometers, in the video of the first attack, the flight of the rocket lasts at least 25 seconds. If the speed of the rocket at the same time is from 300 to 400 meters per second, then the distance of destruction is from 7.5 kilometers to 10 kilometers. Provided, of course, that this video was not slowed down.

The military intelligence of Ukraine was developing a plan for a terrorist attack in Russia using a "dirty bomb" containing radioactive substances, the FSB reported.

    ⚡Ukraine created a new vehicle, the BMPT-62.

Combination of the body of the T-62 tank and the turret from the BMP-2.

Very similar to an Algerian modification.Russian special military operation in Ukraine #43 - Page 40 13new_10

This thing can be quite effective.
Ukro version is covered with Kontakt, so it won't be easy to kill it.

Anyway, both the dam and the power station were about 70 years old. It is a large damage, and the country 404'ss regime knows that they will never control the area again, so they just wanted to ruin the region for Russia.

Eventually (after the end of the military operation) Russia will build a new dam and a more modern and efficient powerplant.

It is true that it is a cost, but maybe it will bring some advantages in the long term.
On the other side, now Russia do not have to worry about the dam destruction anymore. Furthermore it is true that once the water level returns to normal it will be easier for Ukraine to cross over, but the same will be also true for Russia.

Maybe Ukraine expects that Russia will pull some troops out of the Donbass to protect the east bank or the Dnepr in Kherson reason...

    P.S. Surovikin was 100% right.

Short term disadvantage is, that left bank od Dnepr in that region is located significantly lower.
So the flooding will affect more th Russian administrated region.
Whats more, it will disturb defensive preparations as well, flooding minefields, tranches, DOTs etc.
But that is not much relevant, as no offensive operation will be possible for a few weeks now, as the main wave must pass, and the terrain dry before anything.

Against russian anti tank weapons it will be useless. This thing can be good against infantry and light vehicles but as soon as they face a ka-52 or a kornet it will be dead.

Rpg-7 can also easily destroy the t-62.

But I agree it is quite a good vehicle.

There is no depth to the shilling of this troll. Imagine seeing the ZNPP compromised, Crimea cut off from its water supply, Russian defensive positions lost, massive loss of face on international stage and then writing this hallucinative piece of crap.

You're not even trying anymore FP. The shilling has gotten shallow and lacks conviction. Feels like you've switched to the autopilot. Back in the day you at least put in the effort - as ridiculous as your posts were.

Sad state of affairs. Not unlike Russia's acts in the 'SMO'.

If I was a betting man I'd say, like Alamo, that this was structural failure following the stress of the damaged spillways etc. A failure that Kiev had no interest in preventing and, by increasing the water level in the reservoir, positively encouraged. A possible top class lesson in how to let nature take the blame.

    Remember this guy:

If the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is blown up, Crimea will be left without water supply for 10-15 years, and maybe forever. — Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Danilov.

A reminder of the canal. This will seriously impact agriculture on and to the north of Crimea. From memory the Russians were able to supply enough for the population.

    EDIT

Could have lost that bet Laughing Laughing

Russia saying (see next post) it was a Storm Shadow what did it. As it was attacking Ukrainian owned i.e its own, territory how about an RAF launched SS from over Romania?

Holy shit... you mean there is enough water there to flood the place all the way to Poland.... Twisted Evil

If the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is blown up, Crimea will be left without water supply for 10-15 years, and maybe forever. — Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Danilov.

Obviously not an exaggeration because as we know Kiev cut off that water flow years ago and Crimea has been a desert ever since...

Obviously the water was useful, but they seemed to cope when Kiev turned it off for a few years, and there were projects and programmes to compensate for the actions of the nazis in Ukraine.

Not ideal but not the end of the world either.

And just more incentive to leave those nazis with any land at all because however far they push them back the west will give them weapons that can reach, so they need to be eliminated completely.

Looks like we have confirmation that Zaluzhny is alive but Budanov is either dead or to bad to get there. Lots of screens in action.

Zelensky convened an emergency meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) due to the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.

Valeriy Zaluzhny, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was present at the meeting, but Kirill Budanov, the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, was not seen in attendance.

Meanwhile, by shear coincidence, all news about the UA counterattack disaster has disappeared from the MSM.

Locals didn’t hear any explosions, so I guess dam simply gave up the ghost? It was whacked by both sides multiple times. And I think it caught both sides offguard. Look how UA sabotage groups scrambled and had to be evacuated, RU side lost defensive lines under the water as well. I am not that worried about NPP, diesel generators will manage it, there are pretty smart people in charge there. Hopefully what is left of the dam will hold as now people at least have time to evacuate.
