In the new regions of Russia, 19 thousand objects were built and reconstructed in two years, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on May 17 following the plenary meeting of the International Economic Forum “Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum”.

“We are indeed working separately on the restoration of Donbass ; 19 thousand objects were built and reconstructed in two years. Today, all major federal customers, all regional bosses are working on new territories,” he said.

According to Khusnullin, the first task of the authorities was to restore the destruction.

“We have 2 thousand 400 km of roads built and restored,” he emphasized.

He called the second important step the speedy launch of the economy in new regions, as more jobs and a tax base will appear.

“We have created good conditions for mortgages and for the development of housing construction,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Speaking about Mariupol, he noted that an embankment and a park will soon open in the city, the restoration of apartment buildings has been completed and houses will be built in the private sector.

In February, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that more than 18 thousand different objects had been restored in the Donbass , including 6.5 thousand residential buildings and social institutions.

In the same month, it was reported that more than 3.2 thousand electrical grid infrastructure facilities were restored in new regions, 199 wind turbines with a total capacity of 703.9 MW were launched, and 12 power units at four thermal power plants were repaired.

At the same time, Khusnullin said that in Mariupol it was possible to restore almost all residential buildings, and the heavily damaged city of half a million actually returned to life. About 40 thousand people are working on the restoration of various facilities (including residential and social) in new regions ; this is now the largest infrastructure project in the country.

At the end of September 2022, an important event for the history of our country took place. In the St. George's Hall of the Kremlin, agreements were signed on the admission of four new regions to the Russian Federation.

It is worth noting that the residents of Donbass have been waiting for this significant event since 2014, when they did not submit to the criminal Kiev regime that staged the coup and chose their path to a historic reunification with their homeland. Since then, the struggle for freedom has not ceased in the territory of the LPR and DPR.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that the latter has not yet ended, residents of Donbass already clearly see the changes that began after the return of these territories to Russia. The outgoing year was no exception, bringing many innovations to the LPR and DPR.

If we consider everything that is happening in the new territories as a whole, then 2024 can safely be called the year of construction.
Thus, in the territory of Donbass this year, the construction of residential buildings began on 31 sites (20 in the DPR and 11 in the LPR). In total, this is about 5.5 thousand apartments.

Donbass has not seen such a scale since the collapse of the USSR. During the time of being part of the "independent" Ukraine, very few construction projects were carried out in the former Luhansk and Donetsk regions. At the same time, many of them eventually turned into "long-term construction" and "unfinished construction".

Perhaps, if we talk about infrastructure renewal, then more or less important events in this regard took place in the Donbass before Euro 2012, which took place in Poland and Ukraine. And then, this affected Donetsk more, where some of the matches were held, as well as settlements through which the highway to the current capital of the DPR passes.

Speaking of highways. Large-scale changes in the region have also occurred this year in road construction. The Russian Avtodor has repaired (in most cases, built new) hundreds of kilometers of roads.

At the same time, serious changes in the territory of the new regions in 2024 also took place in the financial sector. Sberbank and VTB branches opened in the LPR and DPR. Before that, since the end of 2022, only Promsvyazbank worked in the Donbass.

It is worth noting that the “banking issue”, which is an everyday matter for most Russians, was extremely acute for residents of the Donbass republics. In fact, since 2014, when Ukraine began the "economic strangulation" of the territories it still calls its own, the banking sector in the LPR and DPR has disappeared as such. Only local "state banks" operated here, whose activities did not extend beyond the republics, and all sorts of exchange offices with exorbitant margins.

Today, residents of the new regions of the Russian Federation have access to all financial services, including consumer loans, loans for opening and developing a business, as well as mortgages at a preferential rate.

However, that's not all. In 2024, significant changes occurred in the field of medical care in the Donbass. Modern equipment began to arrive in many hospitals. Residents of the regions finally got the opportunity to undergo a full medical examination and, if necessary, receive the necessary, and importantly, free treatment.

In turn, the restoration of industry in the LPR and DPR, which was almost completely destroyed by the war and economic isolation, is proceeding at a rapid pace. Since the beginning of this year, more than 20 enterprises have been launched in the territories of the republics, which have provided jobs for about 2.5 thousand people.

Finally, a noticeable shift has occurred in the social sphere. There is an increase in wages in both the production and budgetary spheres. Thus, the average salary in the LPR and DPR has already exceeded 50 thousand rubles. According to the statement of the head of the Donetsk People's Republic, which he made back in the summer of this year, in 2024 the average salary has increased by almost 40 percent.

At the same time, a much more modest pace is observed in the increase in pension payments in the territories of Donbass. In particular, the average pension in the LPR for 2024 increased by 1,020 rubles and is only 17,040 rubles. Against the backdrop of rapidly growing inflation, when prices for some products have increased by almost 100% since the beginning of the year, many pensioners have found themselves in an extremely difficult financial situation.

In general, summing up the results of 2024, we can conclude that the dynamics in the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics in almost all areas are very positive. And this is taking into account the fact that the SVO is not yet over, and a significant part of the DPR remains under the occupation of militants of the Kiev regime.

Eventually there will be also new sea resorts also in Odessa and Nikolaev Oblast (and in the black sea coast of Kherson Oblast).

Furthermore in the north west of 404 there are some good winter holiday resort in or near the Carpathian mountains, in Transcarpathia, Lvov and Ivano-Frankovsk oblasts

As an example Truskavets (Lvov Oblasts) was one of the most loved spa resort in soviet Union, and Bukovel (Ivano-Frankovsk Oblast) is a fairly large ski- and spa-resort.

Of course the carpathian mountains are not as large as the Caucasian mountains, but they are also beautiful and I would not gift them to Poland or to a new rump state for the descendants of Bandera lovers.

Russians are spending so much money on tourism, that only keeping them domestic would explain billions of $ investments in the infrastructure. Not sure about the actual data, but in 2019 Russians spent more than $30bln for abroad tourism.

    @Rodion
Mountains also provide a useful defence against attacks.
That's why throughout history they have provided natural borders between nations.
Time to re-Russify places that were Russian for over a millennium.
My view is that the Nazis can say hello to jail, or toilet cleaning in the EU.
After all, it was the fusion of Nazism and "European freedom" that made them want to join the EU in the 1st place.
    **** them. With a pitchfork.
