He served as a command center commander in the Golani Brigade, and he is the fourth colonel to fall in battles in Gaza. The battle in Shuja'iyya is the toughest battle "Israeli" soldiers have fought in Gaza so far.

UPDATE: The israeli army admits 2 more officers killed in the northern Gaza Strip by the resistance:

Col. Itzhak Ben Basat, head of the Golani Brigade's commander's team. He’s the most senior commander who died since the attacks

So far, 10 officers died in 1 operation.

UPDATE: Yemeni Naval forces warned a merchant ship that was headed towards israeli ports, the ship initially ignored the warnings which was followed by warnings shots from Yemen, forcing the ship to abide by the warnings and alter course.
