Is Israel running short of armored vehicles?

In Khan Younis, Qassam Brigades video footage showed multiple Yassin strikes against lightly armored and decades out-of-date M113 troop carriers.
In 2004, Palestinian resistance groups targeted two Israeli military M113s in Gaza City with roadside bombs, killing everyone on board both vehicles. Afterward, the Israeli military announced that the M113 would no longer operate in the Gaza Strip.

However, during the 2014 war, M113s found themselves at the center of the Battle of Shuja’iyya, when Qassam fighters ambushed a Golani Brigade armored convoy, killing everyone on board.

Again, the Israeli military said the M113 would not operate inside the Gaza Strip anymore.

Still, 115 days into the ground war inside the Gaza Strip, the M113s have appeared for the first time on film. In both cases, they were hit by Yassin 105 tandem warheads that can penetrate many times over the depth of the M113 armor.

— Al-Aqsa Brigades:

Shelled gatherings of IOF army vehicles and soldiers with 60mm caliber-mortar shells in the southern axis of Al-Zaytoun.

Sniped 2 israeli soldiers taking cover in a building in the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis.

Targeted an IOF military vehicle with RPGs, in the southern axis of Al-Zaytoun, east of Gaza City.



— Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces:

Fired an RPG at an IOF military vehicle, south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.



— Mujahideen Brigades:

Targeted gatherings of IOF forces in the southern Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the Gaza Strip, with several mortars.

Targeted an IOF military vehicle with a "Saeer" rocket, east of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.



— 🟡 Hezbollah:

Targeted a building in the Avivim settlement with suitable weapons.

Launched a kamikaze drone attack against the Metulla IOF site.

Targeted the Zebdine site in the occupied Shebaa Farms with rockets.

Targeted the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site with rockets.



— Islamic Resistance in Iraq:

Targeted the Kiryat Shmona Airport in the occupied Palestinian territories with a kamikaze drone.


This list did not include rockets fired from Gaza towards settlements.

Worse. The M113's aluminium hull burns and melts into nothing. Bad news for the IDF's cadaver coom squads.

To be fair lots of light vehicles use aluminium in their structure and in many cases it is actually better than steel.

For the same weight a piece of steel might only be 5-6mm thick and not actually bullet proof, while the same structure made in Aluminium might be 15mm thick and also barely bullet proof, but structurally less likely to bend or fracture than the thinner steel structure.

Also aluminium powder does burn... it is added to fireworks and some explosives to make pretty sparkles or incendiary materials respectively, but in an armoured vehicle it is more often fuel and ammo and upholstery that is burning rather than the armour itself, though some spaced armour has plastic or rubber inserts that can also burn too.

Targeted 3 IOF military vehicles with tandem rockets and RPGs, while also detonating a pre-rigged building in the city of Hamad, northwest of Khan Yunis, resulting in casualties.
