bringing life to the forum
we should bring more life in tis forum, my suggestion is to bring a special picture sub-forum and be more activ ther, the russian army picture thread is nearly dead and a piture thread shoul be always the mot interestng one, thats why militaryphotos is the most popular military forum out ther
so what would you say to that vlad

I don't have a problem with it. More like making a multi-media category. I was planning on adding more categories. Get around to it in the next week or so.

I don't want any pics with watermarks. I do not feel like being sued.

Re: bringing life to the forum
I wish I could bring more females to your forum..but Im the forum girl and the gamer girl. I love video games, maybe a little too much. =p
God I love all your user names.
And yep thats a photo of me. My Grandfather calles me Veronica, because Veronica Lake always had one part of her face covered by hair. My hair though does what it likes, and has a mind of its own. Its like corn silk, and just goes anywhere, however in the rain it will get a soft wave. And because umbrellas are for the girly types, I get wet alot and my waves come back too. Just let me know if Im talking toooo much!

Re: bringing life to the forum
I ain't a Russian so I can't help you on this. But threads like how to get in Russian Army/Navy/AirForce; the interviews & other related questions in the respective fields are really got thread to be started by members having some know-how on said subjects.
In members club one can start threads like SMS thread; Picture of Day or any funny combinations

Sadly for you lady - you got beaten to the alter! I've got grandchildren. I can still appreciate beauty though.

Re: bringing life to the forum
!
You are Mr. Handsome! Maybe that should be your user name! I love the hat and my god snow is my absolute favourite thing in the world! I love winter and all the things you can do during that time.
Grandchildren? You hardly look the age to say such a thing, someone must have stolen your heart at an early age. Lucky her!
I too can appreciate eye candy.
Im a flirt, I admit it. But! Im an honest one!

Re: bringing life to the forum
The “hat” is an Ushanka. The one I am wearing is the Russian Army Officer’s Ushanka and is actually made from Merino wool. The OR’s one are synthetic nowadays. Great hats; very sensible – the Russian people. The hat is actually too hot for me here in New Zealand – unless I go to Central Otago in winter or “up the mountain” to one of the ski fields.

Re: bringing life to the forum
Attractive young ladies will attract members (no pun intended), but perhaps the wrong sort of members?
I think the best way to increase "life" in this forum is to get more BTDT (ie been there done that) people. Vlad? Got any friends who are prepared to talk about their experiences to foreigners who can't speak Russian?
BTW regarding photos and being sued... I understood that photos with watermarks or text indicating the owner of the photo was enough. It is when you try to cut off the owners mark that you get into trouble because you are trying to pass the photo off as your property.

Re: bringing life to the forum
Yeah, I'd like to have correspondence with "other" ex military or still serving guys. Game players are not in the real world. When you're heart is pounding so hard, you think anyone in 5 mrtres can hear it, the sweat blinds you, you struggle to control your bowl and bladder - you can't reach for the off switch or start again.
Talking about the various specifications of weapons and the capabilities is fine, if you are writing a manual but all of that fails to recognise the "Fog of War" and the human element, which is critical to the sucess or failure of the op. There is no subsitute for having been so rooted that you simply can't think, so tired that you sleep where you stand, so thirsty that you drink the water from your socks or the feeling of euphoria when you get back to base camp bed. You don't get that from Playstation!
Real military experience give a totally different perspective on issues - this forum could do with that.

Avery very good idea; retired army officers are always a very high-valued additions to any place; but they are rare though!!
Do Vlad ask some soldiers/army technicians...to pay some time to this forum; if they read/write English
