"In civilian use, it would be a happy moment if passengers could board the vehicle and just say, "fly us to Tambov... its mission is to monitor long stretches of any task, high-flying objects, railroads, borders, coastlines. It can also be fitted with armaments and used for recon."

Love those Yak-130 pics. You have a good one of the cockpit?

These aren't my photos, just taking them from others whom taken them during MAKS
Here is the only one I can find so far:
Impressive plane really. Would make a great striker if modified with a single seat cockpit with AESA radar.
I think they are wrong in the statement (about being the first fully designed aircraft by Russia after the collapse of the SU). Wasn't the SU-47 finished and flying in 1996? But still a great video and awesome jet!

AESA radar on a jet trainer... come on m8.
Even using it as a ground attack is imprudent given Su-25 which makes a far better one. It might work for countries that have no real airforce.

hey, don't be knocking on my dream. These aircrafts are apparently very smart (and also has potential to become ucav's ( hard to do with phone, so I will post that pic stating yak-130 evolution chart once I am at home). It has potential to be a strike aircraft. So radar would be needed. But anyway, the plane is awesome, and let me keep to my dreams

The best jets to put an AESA in are big fighters like Flankers. The more T/R modules and power you can run through it, the bigger and better the radar. A UCAV would be more dedicated to the task, as in lacking a cockpit. Even the MiG-35 AESA has rather limited range, once we stick it in the Su-35BM, we will have a radar that is competitive with USAF in range and capability. The technology is already there.
