Pictures of various armored vehicles and artillery from memorial park in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic. I already posted the winter report from that park, this time I visited it in summer.
Today is the day on which two years ago Crimea has reunited with Russia. My father is from Crimea, half of my family still lives there, so for me this was a very touching moment and still is. I remember how I literally couldn't sleep for whole month as I was monitoring for news - any news - from the region; and how my heart stopped every time I saw troops arriving at the locations I've been to. My family lives in the Northern part of Crimea, some kilometers away from the Isthmus. So if Ukrs had try to do something, they would feel it one of the first in the Peninsula.
I'm convinced that had Russian forces not intervened, there would be a similar bloodbath as in Donbass, so thank you to them, thank you to all the people who participated in the events and made history! A special congratulation also goes to auslander!
There are still a lot of problems in Crimea - old ones and new ones, so I wish patience to the local people - patience and optimism; these problems will be resolved, I'm sure of that. It's a beautiful land with great people, so may the future only brings good news to all of them!
And finally, here's a small video recapping the Crimea's path to home:
