Scared the pants off the west a while back when it was revealed for the first time.
It is one thing to be able to track a dozen enemy warships 24/7, but when the threat can come from any of the tens of thousands of merchant ships out there with decks covered in containers just like the one in the video, or for that matter any of the hundreds of million containers sitting in freight yards and train stations and ports or on ships and trains all round the world... all mixed up... it becomes a nightmare to track.

As GarryB pointed out correctly the main thing is to have a plan. You may deviate from the plan slightly as much as going towards it and correcting yourself during and learning on your mistakes. Now Russia has a good plan - to have 70+% new weaponry by 2020 and along it it will develop many new world class weapons and increase its sales many more times. That money will keep million on job and increase wages and invent new technology that will find its way in a civil sector two but at the same keep the demand for top class engineers.

These buk missiles are really fast.The videos I think are original BUK-M1 munitions ..
They are speeding like anything.. normally speed of a air defense munitions is not shown..

Quite often the video of SAMs is taken from a distance and the missiles move away from the camera so perspective makes them look slower than they really are.
