Apparently the Saudis are preventing the Il-76 from leaving because it broke their so called blockade.

Also, reports of a Scud attack on King Fahad Air Base in the city of Ta'if.

Reports of a Scud attack were circulating yesterday already - but did the Scud actually hit something?

SANAA (Sputnik) – The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Il-76 plane, with 50 Russian and CIS nationals who wished to leave conflict-torn Yemen, departed from Sanaa bound for Russia on Friday, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Tomashov said.

“The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s plane is taking 50 citizens of Russia and CIS countries from Yemen’s capital of Sanaa to Russia,” Tomashov told RIA Novosti.

The Il-76 emergency aircraft was previously been used to deliver 20 tons of humanitarian aid to Yemen, including food and tents for refugee camps, at the request of the Yemeni government. Russian Emergencies Ministry planes have conducted three flights with humanitarian aid to Yemen since July.

Good to see the IL-76 fly back without any incidents. But it wont be the last flight from the Russian side as Yemeni's need support and Russia and Iran are the only ones having balls to send the vital supplies to Yemen.

This time IL-76 managed to complete its mission (which probably the Saudi's had not expected?) with relief materials, but it may get get complicated in the future if Saudi's send in their interceptors to divert the supplies.

Southern Saudi Arabia are overwhelmingly Shia. Southern Saudi Arabia used to be part of North Yemen until recently. Houthis have popular support in southern Saudi Arabia.

Kudos to the Yemenis, they really seem to be doing more with less.
I mean they have old Soviet hardware, nothing heavy, virtually no international support - even Iran's is not significant - and they're up against their own illegal puppet government, the Saudis and all their coalition partners, international mercenaries, the finest weapons money can buy. And they're still kicking their ass.

Saudi has even lied about the number of deaths of the Mina stampede, it exceeds 2000. A huge number, they don't want to admit it. The huge number of 'missing' remains mysteriously 'missing', means simply dead.

Houthi Rebels Capture Town, Military Camp in Southwest Yemen

The Houthis and the army units supporting them established control over the town of Damt and a military camp Sadreen in Ad Dali governorate in Yemen, according to a military source.

SANAA (Sputnik) — Yemeni Houthi rebels captured a town and a military camp located in the country's southwestern governorate of Ad Dali, a military source told Sputnik on Sunday.

"The Houthis and the army units supporting them established control over the town of Damt and a military camp Sadreen in Ad Dali governorate after fierce fighting that killed dozens of people from both sides," the source said.

Yemen has been mired in a military conflict between government forces and Shiite Houthi rebels, backed by the army unites loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, since 2014.

Since late March, a Saudi-led coalition has been carrying out airstrikes against Houthi positions at the request of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Some 21.1 million of Yemeni residents are in strong need of humanitarian assistance, while 2,600 people have been killed since the conflict escalated in March, according to the recent UN data.
