Huge news, nobody mentioned it, why?

Bahrain is sending several hundred troops to Yemen. This is like half of their armed forces, isn't it?Shocked  Seriously, they could be taken out with one good Tochka strike maybe in one day of groudn combat - since we have already seen dozens of dead troops on a single video.

Shocked KSA folks are truly pathetic, they are retreating on every frontline and paying 2bln $ for sending two battalions. Shocked Colombia got 2.5 mln $ per soldier.

If what you say is true, that's an interesting development, considering that Bahrain with it's majority Shia population, has been in a constant state of political crisis for the past 5 years. Don't rule out civil wars breaking out in Eastern Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.

    More news guys.

An AQ suicide bomber blew himself up, killing 19 pro-Saudi Yemeni troops:

    More footage from Houthi side.

A Metis launched at the beggining of that one:

i have to admit that the Yemeni army/ Houthis, Revolutionary Committee, are doing better than i thought they would have done despite no air force, lack of support, and being up against a large force comprising of various countries which are supplying air strikes and operating modern equipment.

The Saudis should have just stuck to bombing weddings, that's about the only part of their military that functions as its supposed to; I guess between all their massive purchases of equipment tribute to Western countries, in exchange for their continued protection/tolerance of their regime (Mongol style) - someone forgot to give them the instruction manuals; or maybe they just never bothered to read them.

Despite having some of the best weapons money can buy, and a whole host of bought-out Muslim powers and and mercenary bands at their disposal; the only thing the Saudi military is suitable for, is at most - internal security (read - shooting unarmed protesters in places like Bahrain). Actually put it in the field and the whole thing falls apart rather quickly, much like a watch made up of mismatching gears and parts - sure it looked pretty, but it was never actually meant to be used.

It's not like this is a surprise to anyone; it's been known for a long time that the Saudis have severe issues, that their arms purchases are decided by political considerations, not military needs, and that they need a whole host of Western specialists, Pakistani pilots, etc... to do anything other than drive around some vehicles on a parade.

They have now been humiliated by a bunch of skinny, sandal and skirt-wearing, lightly-armed irregulars in Yemen - a country whose army, when it still existed, was armed with only the oldest of Cold War era equipment anyway.
It's a shame that so many people have to die over this mess - otherwise it would make quite the show.

Yeah, but the flip flop cruiser is hitting way to efficiently to be a bunch of rag tag dudes, it's been hitting and moving like they had advances surveillance, including satellite, not saying it's Russia, but they simply strike and then move over and around very quick, so it's two things, they've got local support IN KSA, or there's some one doing the heavy intelligence lifting.

Anyway, these guys are the embodiement of hard asses.

You nailed it right there. Whether it's the Houthis & allies themselves or more likely Iranian agents that have penetrated SA...I wouldn't discount clandestine Russian intelligence support to the Iranians as well (satelite data, signals intel...)

How's it quiet there's heavy counter attack in Taiz that failed yesterday. The Saudi mercenaries lost about 40 people in a Yemeni Army ambush, and they say they got "white people" killed. Possibly Colombians?

The flip flop-wearing hobos seem to do well in this war. On the other side you have MRAP-loving, AC-addicted tools sitting on leather recaro seats and trying to conduct 21st century COIN war. Yeah they're screwed.

Crazy part is that it's not just an expression, people there are actually wearing flip-flops in combat. Very Happy

No problem, as I used to say "we're from the government, we're here to help".

But honestly, there are more and more signs of Flip Flop express.
