Hello, from sunny South California.
Registered to have my subscription to Russian military photo thread. I noticed this forum has a bit more serious vibe and seems to have some interesting tech reads. I can bring some network/telecommunication engineering expertise to the table as I have been working in this field for quite some time. I can offer Russian-English-Russian translation service for the community, but it seems not to be in great need here, huh.
Even though my native language is Russian, I gotta admit that due to long time living in the States, I am already thinking in English most of the time. Eventhough I never studied English at any school - thanks to silly tv shows + subtitles - its basically self-tought. So my writting might and will be sloppy, on top of that (literally) kids playing on my shoulders might add some additional fun to read my posts.
However, I still remember quite good share of Latvian language (basically forced to learn it in my teen ages) and German too (my military dad used to move me around Deutschland in my childhood). If someone need a quick small translation - ping me. My biggest fear tho - my kids would be speaking Runglish. :/
Served in US Navy briefly tho, don't ask.
