Regarding that sight for the Kord on the T-90 it looks related to a similar sight mounted on a light turret for the BMD with a 30mm cannon and a similar side mounted sight that elevates with the gun.

Don't know what that is called either but this could be the view through it:



The alignment looks right in relation to the weapon itself... the old optical sight was high and to the right of the weapon....
