Iraqi Army - Page 7 Empty Re: Iraqi Army

Post  sheytanelkebir Mon Jun 08, 2015 2:41 pm

it was only attacked by a helicopter... and it set off the masses of explosives at the VBIED facility.

its a montage of three videos.

first few seconds... rockets hit the security building. then the helo opens up with cannon fire (you can see the tracer and hits).

then a few seconds later (after the explosion) the camera focuses back on the plume.

in the last few seconds we see the continued video (from about 20 minutes after the explosion) with the aftermath.

Iranian clones TOW anti-tank systems in Iraq

ATGM TOW, that there were armed Shiite militias in Iraq. These TOWs aren't of Iraqi army and appear to have been transferred to the main pro-Iranian militias from Iran. On Iranian origin points marked with the three yellow stripes on the legs tripods, these bands are black. Also noticeable characteristic turquoise seals mounted on Iranian copies of TOW - ATRA Toophan, Organization of Iran Electronic Industries.

Iraqi National Police start receiving VHS-2 rifles from Croatia.

This is part of the overall effort to withdraw the use of all Kalashnikovs out of official use. This is to enable the management of the disarmament of the population and militias in the future.

these particular units were supposed to be for the Peshmerga... but ended up on the blackmarket... well that idea for disarming the populace didn't last long!

they are very good, they were in devolopment since 1992, wenth trough a dozen of comabt trials by croatian MOD since 2005, passed finally 2009 all reliability trials and was then further improved 2013 from the VHS to VHS-2

so dont panic for iraq, they will do just fine with it

nothing, like ther is nothing wrong with this purchase, they can buy whatever they want, if they think maybe a bullpup design is better for urban combat then they should go for it

They're still in the race for the FAMAS replacement tender in France, so they're playing in the league as HK, FN, SIG despite being much smaller (several other contenders were eliminated).

The only guy I know to have manipulated one said he was nicely surprised by the overall quality.

Technically while he does look a lot like a FAMAS it's not internally (internally a FAMAS is a mini AA-52, this one is a more of a SCAR, though most of it's features are fairly unique to the gun even if you find equivalent in machine-guns).

They want to crack down on and eliminate all kalashnikov and associated ammo to disarm the population in the future.

Any ak fire is automatically recognised as non government in future and makes identifying bandits and terrorists easier.

No, it is just another shitty excuse to buy a garbage famas ripoff to help a US bootlicking country.

They could Purchase AK-15's or AK-103's for cheaper and effectively be different than the old AK rifles. Seems though their plan didnt work. Retards.

I really doubt that AK-15 would be cheaper than that. Plus it's more sophisticated. Although it seems it's a waste of money to buy these rifles. I would rather go for reliable AR version or stay with AK. They won't be able to push out AK from their service, my country couldn't and there is no need to fix what's still working.
There are plenty of good rifles around. FB MSBS, Beretta rifles and etc. reason might be money.

It is all money. And according to Kotemore, AK-15's were apparently very cheap compared to most counterparts. This is purely for money and greed from Croatia and its NATO dirtbags.

These new bullpups might be very good, but bullpups are never popular with the military most of the time and take a while to get used to by the troops.

I suspect we might see a repeat of what happened in Georgia in 8 8 8 ,where when push came to shove the new weapons were left in crates in the depot and the standard AKs were used because they were familiar and trusted.

BTW I read an article that said Iraqi forces were risking their licence for Abrams tanks because they were replacing the HMG with Kords and using Iranian 12.7 x 99mm ammo instead of US brownings and US hmg ammo... would be amusing if true...
