Re: Questions and Ideas
Question: you said part of the EM waves hit the nucleus. So what happen then?

Re: Questions and Ideas
Ok then is like this: you have a small nuclear fuel. You make it explode. Range to be 30 cm. All this in a chamber that is in air on a aerostat. In the chamber there is air. The EM waves from nuclear blast make a chain reaction in air . then the EM waves resulted are collected because they have induction. Thus you have lots of energy for a laser weapon or for EM waves that fryes the enemy

Re: Questions and Ideas
Ofcourse you could say that simply can use nukes to make the same. But....nukes on missiles can be and will be intercepted....but ...EM waves cant be intercepted.

Re: Questions and Ideas
Think to posibility to hit at distance whitout nothing that could be done by enemy
And here is the haarp like posibility to hit at distance. Make a chamber resistant to nuke blast....make a very small nuke...and colect the energy

Re: Questions and Ideas
Another idea: make the electric circuit that take energy to antennas a superconductor. Whit a frozen aparatus you will have powerfull waves. Also a question: a antenna can be maked from a superconducter? My point is that not being a electric resistance you will have high move up and down in the antenna so high frecvency of waves. Theoretically whit few energy you could have gamma rays.

Re: Questions and Ideas
About the compton effect. From where do you know that the EM waves powered produce less energy than is plug in the forming of waves?

An "AFAR" is an "AESA", "active electronically scanned array".

For one thing, the Compton effect is an inelastic scattering which means that losses are involved (obvious losses).

Re: Questions and Ideas
Guys I have a suggestion.
We have many treads on naval forum, often about a single class of ships. It can get crowded and many of them are barely active. They could be all bundled into larger categories. Would make for more dynamic treads.
We might pack them all together into several larger treads according to ship types and other general topics like this for example:
Aircraft carriers, helicopter carriers and landing ships
Submarines (nuclear and non-nuclear)
Battlecruisers, cruisers and destroyers
Corvettes and frigates
Patrol boats, small landing crafts, speedboats
Icebrakers, supply ships and tugs,
Hovercrafts, hydrofoils and ekranoplans
Coast guard and river police
Naval aviation (fixed wing and helicopters)
Naval UAVs, underwater drones and robots
Naval infantry
Naval weapon systems and radars

A question regarding the T-90...
Doesn't it remove all ammunition from the fighting compartment.? And if so... How?

Simply by not placing charges and warheads but autoloader but only reload the autoloader with 22 rounds. The ammunition holders are the dangerous problem.
The ammunition holders surrounding the carousel is just kept empty.

Patrol boats, small landing crafts, speedboats

The rest of these are mostly larger or significant enough for individual classes to deserve their own threads.
However a few of these categories still do have general threads (e.g. https://www.russiadefence.net/t11-status-of-russia-s-navy-cruisers or https://www.russiadefence.net/t754-russian-nuclear-submarine-force ); for information on the vessels or vessel classes that don't have their own dedicated threads to be put in - but what actually ends up happening is that often users will post news in both the general and the specific thread; inflating the general thread with needless duplicate information.
I've been meaning to bring up this point for a while now.
Can everyone just check before they post and only post to a more general thread if a specific thread on that ship/sub/aircraft/weapon system/organization doesn't exist?

Several. It depends whether the Russian bank in question has a branch in that particular foreign country.
Sberbank, VTB, Gazprombank have all provided loans to foreign countries. This is because the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has been extremely accommodative extending Rbs7.4trn of loans to the above mentioned 3 banks.

Re: Questions and Ideas
Wait, so the tank would only hold 22 round? IMO it seems more likely such holders are just enclosed....and any loose ammunition is just removed.

Re: Questions and Ideas
The standard autoloader for the T-72/90 holds 22 rounds and charges and is under an armoured plate under the turret floor. The rest of the ammo is loose around the turret and beside the driver.
In combat it was found that any penetration would ignite the propellent stubs, whose cardboard skins are designed to combust fully in the gun chamber and any spark or hot ember will ignite.
when only carrying the 22 rounds in the underfloor autoloader the rounds and propellent stubs are protected from hot sparks and fragments and the vehicle is much safer.
