A recent Sputnik article mentioned a helicopter based UCAV that could fire rockets and had a flamethrower...
This is clearly it and the rockets and flamethrower it uses are clearly infantry models of engineer rockets like RPO-A etc and other RPG type weapons.
There are all types of UCAV, this one is clearly front line support... you load up some shoulder fire rockets and launch this up in the air and move it closer to the enemy position and fire directly... this type of UCAV would be very manouverable and be able to hover so getting close and avoiding ground fire should be quite straight forward, while manually aiming unguided rockets at vehicles or building should be easy because you can get fairly close and you are aiming down wards.
(what i mean is if you are on the ground and launch a rocket at a car and miss it to one side by half a metre the rocket might fly for another 500m before hitting something and the explosion would cause no damage to the car you were aiming at. From high up even if you miss the car by half a metre the rocket will hit the ground right next to the car and the explosion (say thermobaric) will still do serious damage.)
I suspect this drone could also carry small arms gun pods and would be very useful to ground troops in that they could use these and ground based robots to attack an enemy position without exposing themselves to enemy fire.
These multicopters are easy to fly and very manouverable, which makes training easier too.
