November 13. / TASS /. The first two UR-100N UTTX intercontinental ballistic missiles equipped with the Avangard nuclear planning block will be put on pilot combat duty in the coming weeks. Currently, work is underway on the preparation and loading of missiles into the mines, a source in the military-industrial complex told TASS on Wednesday.
"In late November and early December, two UR-100N UTTX missiles from the first regiment of the Avangard complexes, which are equipped with hypersonic gliding wing units of the first regiment of the Avangard complexes, will take up pilot combat duty in the Dombarovskaya division of the Strategic Missile Forces,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
The source said that currently in the positional area "work is underway on the preparation of both missiles and their loading into the mines, the functioning of the regiment's protected command post and other activities are being tested."
The Strategic Missile Forces did not comment on the information provided by the source by telephone. TASS sent a request to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
