Turks need to seriously get some lessons from this, they're having problems with positioning which shows me poor commanders. They don't know where to order the positions nor effectively have fire control over an area...

SDF liberate Jabar after IS retook it yesterday, and as an added bonus liberated Suwaydiya Saghirah.

Looks like another ISIS supply route is about to be cut. This could well be one of the very few crossings over the Euphrates that survive Coalition destruction.calm wrote:SDF liberate Jabar after IS retook it yesterday, and as an added bonus liberated Suwaydiya Saghirah.

Would not be better to send them to the South after surrender?

The South is next on the "to clear" list as they are smaller and generally less radicalized then the North crowd.

But the "to clear" list would be more refered to the pockets no?
I do not think that Syria can have a hope of cleaning the South front in the short term, with the support to the rebels coming from Israel, Jordan and the Gulf countries. The South front is continuous for Syria with the Eastern front. The alone safe borders for the Syrian government are the sea, Liban and the Kurd areas.
Not sure if Syria should reinforce the Arab rebels in Idlib. If the fight continues and the Arab rebels from Idlib are not reinforced, every time the presence of the Turks in the rebel ranks would be more clear and evident, making more clear the nature of this fight as a Turkish invasion.

The Beit Jinn pocket is under attack right with 3 villages suing for peace leaving only the town to be taken. This is the last pocket left in the South other then the border area controlled by the rebels. Troops are then posed to start dividing this area into pockets and eliminating them one at a time.

the biggest issue for the SAA right now is manpower so it makes perfect sense to target all the pockets it can, and reduce the number of fronts. Once Beit Jinn has been taken, they should focus on the Sirghaya, Madaya, Al Zabadani, Wadi Barada pockets. Other areas that would be fairly easy to liberate are: the area north of Busra Al Hariri this area would be very easy to cut off. And the area around Jubbata Al Khashab near the Golan heights. Obviously the Yarmouk camp is also a good target but they may want to hold off striking a deal and transporting ISIS to Raqqa/Deir Ez Zoir as the increase in ISIS manpower is certainly not something the SAA in Deir Ez Zoir need right now. They should also seek to get the rebels in Dumayr, Jayrud, Ar Ruhaybah (which they currently have a truce in place) to give up and be formed into NDF units, as in the past both the SAA and the rebels here have targeted ISIS jointly in the past.

- Wadi Barada is under attack right now and have contaminated the water for Damascus with diesel fuel.
- Madaya, Al Zabadani are part of the trade off truce for Fu'ah and Misrin in Idlib.
- Yarmouk has been given until the new year to surrender. The 3 towns not controlled by ISIS are already negotiating reconciliation deals with the government.

While the areas in the borders with Israel, Jordan, the Easter front and Turkey can be all considered a continuous front, the rebel areas in the border with Liban would be also like pockets.
