    "SYRIAN ARMY VITALLY NEEDS REFORMS."

Unfortunately these reforms can only happen after the war.

The psychological pivot of Aleppo has been knocked out from under the jihadis. They are ripe to be
"ethnically cleansed" from Aleppo Governorate. The green pocket between Latakia and Aleppo will
disappear. This time Russia needs to bomb the jihadis straight to Hell even if that means targeting

NDF finally doing a good job.

Syrian Armed Forces eliminate militant group attempting to infiltrate Sweida countryside

The National Defense Forces (NDF) cleared the area around the Tha'lah Airbase in Al-Sweida on Sunday after a group of militants from the Free Syrian Army's "Southern Front" and Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Qaeda) attempted to infiltrate the villages around this military installation.

According to a military source in Damascus, the National Defense Forces of Sweida thwarted a major jihadist infiltration at the village of Umm Walid, resulting in the death of several enemy combatants on Sunday afternoon.

Following the battle, the National Defense Forces carried out a cleansing operation to clear any remnants of the jihadist battalions that attacked the area around the Tha'lah Military Airbase in western Al-Sweida.

In addition to the cleansing operation, the Syrian Arab Army's 5th Armored Division also carried out an attack against a group of Islamic State terrorists in the northeastern countryside of Al-Sweida, killing and wounding a number of jihadists.

The UN Security Council came up on Sunday with a "good text" of the draft resolution on the deployment of UN observers to Syrian Aleppo and the vote will take place on Monday, according to Russian envoy to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin.

The Sweida is home to most of the Syrian Druze population and they have no use for the Sunni Islamist (also vice versa) so have kept them out for the whole Civil War.

Churkin better veto this crap. I bet it extends through the whole Aleppo Governorate, which was ignored by the UN and the

If Churkin does not veto it then we will have confirmation that Putin's government is compromised. These UN sanctioned

Churkin actually disagreed with the initial plan earlier and stated they will push their edition of it. This may be that and the rest agreed. They want to have UN observers on the ground. In other words, Indians, Venezuelans, etc etc etc will be monitoring it. A little hard for the US to simply try and take over. But there is a chance of US trying to change the plan last minute that will force China and Russia to veto it, thus Russia ends up getting the blame for lack of progress at UN. So this may be an attempt from Samantha Powers to be a typical bitch.

As well, China has every right to veto too if they do not like a proposal. It isn't like Russia controls China.

Yes, good points. With all such "agreements", Syria & Russia always seem to come up holding the short end, so when I read that, I was like Rolling Eyes

They should give that cliche a rest and instead have the pervert uncle of all battles*.

*A battle so extreme by m/e standards that all combatants actually sight their rifles rather than emptying entire magazines full-auto while holding them up above their heads.

quite interesting and its most likely the Anadan plain is a likely plan of action once a buffer has been created in the south west.

Please show us where SNopes have "debunked" Eva points anywhere?  No idea what makes
people become so foolish about the war in Syria after 5 years of endless mountains of
evidence that NATO is backing terrorism ,like ISIS and ALqaeda and many other terrorist that are identical to ISIS in brutality .
And Russia and Syria,IRAN and Hezbolah the ONLY forces fighting terrorism with the exception of Kurds that only fight ISIS and FSA terrorist only when they threaten their zones security  . But largely Syrian Kurds were completely neutral and just sit down and observe how Syria is attacked by waves of terrorist and do nothing to help. Since Kurds were seeking to benefit from
the NATO war against Syria ,so that they could create their independent state. So Kurds are not terrorist ,but opportunist ,they have been. and now they are victims of their neutrality and backstab to Syrian government.

If NATO coalition REALLY wanted to defeat ISIS ,it could stop the war in a month or two.
all they need to do is sanctions on Turkey and Saudi Arabia ,or at least Turkey for their illegal oil business with ISIS , that is TOTAL isolation of Turkey economy from the world and freeze of Bank assets and demand Erdogan to step down or at least to close the border and not allow a single terrorist ,rebels or any thing to enter Syria from its border.
But because the whole war against ISIS is a FRAUD.. US do nothing to stop ISIS supply lines ,
Do NOTHING to stop ISIS selling oil to Turkey and do nothing to cut the hands of UK-FRANCE-Saudi Arabia and Turkey to stop aiding any rebel groups there ,that all of them are terrorist.

EVA is 100% correct. All the armed rebels in Syria fighting the Government are terrorist ,and all of them backed by NATO and middle east dictators coalition. Eva is 100% correct when she Says American and British and European Union main stream corportate media LIES.. and their sources have been third hand information , proven to be fake like white helmets and/or not being directly in eastern Aleppo or in any part of Syria like the Syrian observatory have never been..

All the armed so called "opposition" ,"moderates" or "democratic forces ) is just names the western powers and turkey with Saudis, give to Sunni terrorist to justify the weapons they give them to fight Assad.  NATO backed rebels had near a million of civilians in 2012 hostages and prisoners at gun point, when they took control of more than half of aleppo ,raping their womens , beheading hundreds and killing anyone who resisted their occupation, beaten them ,torturing them and killing them. And uploading videos online of Palestinian children when they behead them.  Syria have the right to protect their nation security and territorial integrity from any Mercenary terrorist group that Turkey and NATO and Saudi Arabia support. Anyone who disagree with this ,deserve their country to be invaded by hundreds of thousands terrorist  and totally destroyed ,with their families held hostages at gun point and killed , just like ERdogan armed terrorist FSA ,ISIS and ALqaeda have been doing to Syria, since the US financed revolution began in Syria in 2011.

Oh boy, the Turks are such wonderful human beings /sarcasm

Huh where was the security detail the first shot fine I can understand but a second when he was on the ground...? something is VERY wrong there.

Standard practice decides he should have had two guards around him at least, Something tells me Erodogan had a hand in this.
