Re: Serbia Breaking News:
There is something wrong with the graph. From 5 million small arms in 1995 we still have over 2 million guns (half those unaccounted) in Albania. That's about 1 million guns out there for 2,7 million Albanians. It's about 40 guns for hundred ppl.

Dont expect these to be 100% accurate. I highly doubt Iceland has 50 guns per 100 ppl, or France...

Re: Serbia Breaking News:
"General Zdravko Tolimir, one of the top commanders in the Army of Republika Srpska during the Bosnian War, has died in The Hague detention center. He had been sentenced to life in prison in 2012 for “war crimes against Bosnian Muslim population.” The cause of death has not been reported, although last February Tolimir told the court that he had had four stents placed in his heart, according to Reuters “He was taken ill at the court’s detention center at around 9 pm last night,” Reuters cites the tribunal’s spokesman, Nenad Golcevski, as saying. “He received medical attention but he passed away.” Tolimir was due to be transferred to a prison in one of the Hague Tribunal’s sponsoring countries, but died at the age of 67.
“This is a grave loss not only for the family and friends but also for all Serb people,” said Milorad Dodik, president of Republika Srpska, Bosnia’s autonomous Serb Republic. During the Bosnian War of 1992-1995, commander Tolimir (b.1948) was intelligence chief for the main headquarters of the Army of the Serb Republic (VRS), where he supervised security affairs and reported directly to VRS commander General Ratko Mladic. Tolimir appeared before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in 2007, accused of involvement in the alleged murder of 8,000 Muslim men in Srebrenica in July of 1995. After years of trial, in April 2015, the Hague Tribunal’s appeals chamber handed Tolimir a life sentence for committing war crimes against the citizens of Srebrenica. However, ICTY acquitted him of genocide in Zepa, another UN-protected “safe area” taken by Serbs in the last year of the Bosnian War.
Zdravko Tolimir used to be “the right-hand man of the Bosnian Serb commander Ratko Mladic and sometimes knew more than Mladic himself,” the presiding judge, Theodor Meron, said during the original trial, stressing that a life sentence was appropriate in Tolimir’s case due to the gravity of his crimes. “The accused had knowledge and was aware of the genocidal intent of the Bosnian Serb leadership and was responsible for genocide,” the judge said. However, this opinion was not shared by the entire panel. Judge Prisca Matimba Nyambe of Zambia said the evidence against Tolimir was “entirely circumstantial, based on presumptions, suppositions”.
“There is no evidence linking him to the crimes perpetrated by his subordinates, nor does the evidence demonstrate that he knew that those crimes were being perpetrated,” Nyambe wrote , adding that she was “wholly unpersuaded” of Tolimir’s guilt in any of the charges alleged in the indictment. Tolimir himself always insisted he was conducting a military operation against Bosnian Muslim “terrorist groups” that were attacking the Serb civilian population. The ICTY was established in 1993 to put those on trial who were accused of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity following the break-up of multi-ethnic Yugoslavia. Armed conflicts on the territory of Yugoslavia’s successor countries lasted throughout most of the 1990s and resulted in death of more than 130,000 people, according to a number of independent assessments. Several ICTY defendants died during the course of their trials in The Hague, among them former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, who passed away in the court’s custody on March 11, 2006, before the completion of his four-year trial.
The Krajina Serb leader Milan Babic allegedly committed suicide in The Hague on March 5, 2006, only six days before Milosevic’s death, In August of 2015, after being transferred to Lisbon prison unit, General Mile Mrksic, a former officer in the Yugoslav National Army, became the first to die outside of Scheveningen. In October of 2015, Dusan Dunjic, a defense witness in former Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladic’s case, was found dead at his hotel in The Hague just hours before he was to testify in court."
Other Serb nationals who died in ICTY detention centers are General Djordje Djukic (died 1996), Croatian Serb leader Slavko Dokmanovic (died 1998); Milan Kovacevic, former mayor of Prijedor (died 1998), General Momir Talic (died 2003); and Miroslav Deronjic, a Bosnian Serb official (died in Sweden in 2007).
Ratko Mladic, commander of the RS Army and Tolimir’s former boss, still remains on trial."

Re: Serbia Breaking News:
My question is why do ethnic Serbs detained by these International courts, constantly die in prison? Convenient deaths perhaps? To prevent certain information from coming out (Bosnian support from Al Qaeda, Croatians accepting arms traffic from Pinochet, Kosovar/Albanian drug, human, and organ trafficking)? BTW I heard in recent years that the African Union (especially South Africa) has threatened to cut ties with these kangaroo courts, on the basis of their biased sanctimonious hypocrisy.

As you said yourself "Convenient deaths". Ah, why... because Croatians were singing Danke Deutschland while Serbs kept middle finger pointed at Germany and US.
Hague international court is useless, they couldnt prove anything basically, they would just file the prosecution, spend few months in court room and put every Serbian in prison for how much they were pleased.

Re: Serbia Breaking News:
"BREAKING: Serb diplomats killed in US Sabratha air strike
There are unconfirmed reports that two kidnapped Serbian diplomats perished in the IS compound in Sabratha that was hit by US warplanes early this morning.
Serbian embassy communications officer Sladjana Stankovic and a colleague Jovica Stepic were seized in last November when their vehicle was stopped west of Sabratha near the Talil Tourist village by gunmen.
They had been travelling in a convoy which also contained the Serbian ambassador Oliver Potezica, whose vehicle escaped. At the time the Ghwell administration said that the diplomats had been travelling without authorisation from the Tripoli authorities."

"BELGRADE, Serbia – Hundreds of pro-Russian Serb nationalists have held a protest against government's deal that forges closer ties with NATO. The protesters on Saturday in downtown Belgrade chanted slogans against the Western military alliance, Serbia's leaders and carried portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin while waving Russian flags.
Serbia has historic ties with Slavic ally Russia but was never part of the Soviet bloc and wants to join the European Union. The right-wing nationalists want Serbia never to be part of NATO, which bombed the country in 1999 over its former regime's bloody crackdown against Kosovo Albanian separatists. The Kremlin and its media outlets in the Balkan country have launched an anti-Western campaign, including denouncing a recent government agreement with NATO to allow its troops patrolling Kosovo unhindered passage through Serbia."

They say hundreds, its more like thousans, some estimates are 10-15k, not much considering size of our capital tho. Its not very popular in the eyes of current gov to be there, and ppl badly need jobs.. so...many who would gladly come prefer not to.

Re: Serbia Breaking News:
"An airplane carrying the remains of Serbian citizens Sladjana Stankovic and Jovica Stepic landed at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport at 19:25 CET on Tuesday. Stankovic and Stepic were employees of the Serbian embassy in Tripoli, Libya. The bodies were first flown from Libya to Istanbul aboard a Maltese airplane.
State broadcaster RTS is reporting that the autopsy documents issued by Libyan authorities do not list the cause of death, but rather enumerate and describe the injuries sustained by the victims. New autopsies will be performed in Belgrade. Stankovic and Stepic were kidnapped from a convoy of diplomatic vehicles in Sabratha, Libya, last November, and were held hostage until February 19, when they died during an air strike carried out by the United States, targeting an Islamic State site near the town. Earlier in the day, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic announced that the aircraft transporting the bodies would be touching down in Belgrade in the evening, and pointed out to "the enormous efforts that have been made for the plane to take off from Tripoli."
"Our company did not get permission for overflight. All day we worked on it, the Libyan government was offering its plane, we wanted to send ours, we were not allowed neither," Dacic has been quoted as saying by Tanjug. He "added that only during the night permission was received to engage a plane to transfer the bodies to Istanbul, from where they will be delivered to Serbia on a regular flight to Belgrade." Dacic also said that "those who abducted and killed them" are guilty for the deaths of Stankovic and Stepic.
In reference to the November kidnapping, the minister said that "our diplomats had no permission to leave Tripoli, procedures were not respected." But he spoke against the introduction of "red herrings" and rejected the claims that "arms trade" was taking place. "They certainly did not trade in arms," Dacic stressed. "If procedures had been followed, it certainly would not have come to this," he added, noting that a working group and state organs would "determine all the circumstances." Dacic also said that Serbia is seeking an investigation into whether the U.S. knew that the Serbian nationals were at the site targeted by the air strike. "The Americans say that they did not know, but give us the evidence - our services say that they had informed them," Dacic said, adding, "obviously a mistake was made."
Speaking about the two killed embassy staffers, Dacic said: "They would be alive if they had not been killed in the air strike." Dacic also announced that Serbia's ambassador in Tripoli will be "withdrawn" and added that the possible closure of the embassies in Syria and Tunisia should also be "seriously considered - bearing in mind a lot of are people are there, and there are also economic interests."

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić ordered full alert of armed forces, for start 4th land forces brigade from Vranje, 119th mixed helicopter brigade and 98th air force brigade from Ladjevci airfield.
