I can see that sanctions hit Iranian industry. I hope that now with changing game of the west there will be more opportunities for Iran to sell oil/gas and get industry to new level.
I think that neither Russia nor China will stick to any industry/military deals after 2020.

Perhaps T-90AM or MiG-35 will be produced in Iran ? some new helos could be as well.

Unlikly they go for small fighters. They would rather take su-30Iran version for their big country.

Concerning sanctions, it'not like before. Now even EU is not with US on Iranian case and want to open iranian market. China and russia too. If iran calm down about the "destroy israel" thing and don't fall in the US trap of restarting some nuclear hidden activities they could stop the sanctions pretty fast.

I've just stumbled on this old article, from July, but it's new to me. They are talking that the procurement of 800 Karar tanks is done deal?! They are also talking about IRGC and the Army, but not who will receive them and how many.

I also heard they can also shoot down a fighter jet at any speed. Doesnt mean it is true.

Iranian armored vehicle Toufan type MRAP went into production

Iran began production of the armored vehicle with increased mine protection, the prototype of which was first presented at IPAS 2016. There is no ERA that will stop enemy fire on its own... its purpose is to reduce the penetration of the incoming weapon so it fails to penetrate the base armour.

If it can do this then it increases the protection of the vehicle equivalent to adding enormous amounts of armour plate, but without the weight and high cost of such extra armour... and all the logistic issues with such a mod.

Khatami at the same time, mentioning the tactical vehicle "Aras 2", noted that this car has increased cross-country ability in difficult areas, it can be equipped with different small arms and other weapons, it has greater fuel economy, higher acceleration compared to the previous generation models and the ability to carry a much larger range of weapons.

During the modernization, armor protection was strengthened, and most importantly, a new Iranian uninhabited combat module with a 30mm 2A42 automatic cannon, a 7.62mm machine gun and an ICS with day / night sights with a thermal imager, a laser range finder, etc. . The BTR-50 so modernized was called Makran.

The upgraded 122 mm MLRS combat vehicle with the installation of special guides for launching guided missiles in addition to guiding packages for conventional unguided missiles. The name of such an upgraded system is Hedayat 122. A potentially very promising development.


Light reconnaissance UAV Meraj-1. Weight is 35 kg. Able to fly up to 10.5 hours at an altitude of 3650 meters with a payload of up to 5 kg.
