And it's said that their working on a electromagnetic catapult, the next three carriers will probably not have ski jumps.

Great. Innovation seem to be recovering. Producing capacities still need improvements but gains come hard.

I agree but each passing year we see more and more weapons produced and more and more weapons introduced ranging from whole systems to subsystems. Exiting times.

Hmm curious question..how's the status of nuclear fleet disposal ? I heard there are still many old soviet era reactors awaiting for disposal. Some of them even still have fuel rods attached, awaiting processing/disposal.
Would be nice to heard too if Russia also build new processing or storage facility for decommissioned reactors.

Hahaha... last report I read said the Russians were offering to dispose of the old nuclear reactors in UK and French vessels using their new state of the art processing centres... from memory the UK refused straight away, but I think the French were considering it.

Re: Russian Navy: Status & News #2
Some people are already claiming the CGI of stealthy warship in the Agat Concern promo is a new Russian ship that's under development. I honestly think it's just CGI dramatics, and there probably isn't any basis for that claim:

Agat Concern is not a Hollywood studio, this advert will be for customers... foreign or domestic and if anyone is interested there is no reason I can see why they could not turn it into metal.

"As many as three nuclear submarines lay on the "Sevmash" July 19, 2014, on the eve of the Navy of Russia, reports ITAR-TASS referring to the company CEO Mikhail Budnichenko. Among the new submarines - submarine Project 955 "Borey", a multi-purpose boat project 885 "Ash" and special-purpose boat."
So whats the special-purpose boat?

Since Russia is producing Gas Turbine Engine to replace the one from Ukraine , Any information on these engine produced in Russia in terms for Power Output etc.
Will this be a 1:1 replacement for all the GT engine imported from Ukraine ?

Presumably, you don't want to mess with power output and dimensions with an already in production design.
For starters should just copy the Ukrainian components 1 to 1. If they complain, bring up the Zubr theft issue.

Regardless of complaints, they allowed this to happen with allowing the scumbag they have in power. It was him that pushed the cease of sales to Russia. So Russia had no choice. Not like Ukraine cares much about IP.

that's unfortunate. Hmm and hey.. So Amur is really a single hull boat eh ? Seeing that the middle section of the hull have no external scantlings of frames. That's interesting because Russians always built double hull design submarine.

I Accidentally browse into strategypage forum.. It seems someone there does not believe Russian titanium hulled subs

Not all Russian subs are Ti hulled. Sierra, and Alpha spring to mind.
