Well the easier of the two pockets have been fully captured by the Syrians as of a few hours ago.

Has for the bigger and more tougher pocket, SAA have taken a good amount of it from ISIS.

I expect the pocket to be fully liberated within a week and the SAA will advance on deir at most two weeks after that.

Not much population just mountains. Apparently SAA is mopping up the remaining ISIS forces in boiler #2. Expect you are right or at the most 2 weeks for the other pocket.

Well, they are rushing and they have to rush if they lose As-suwar that's quite bad for them.

Deir is pretty much safe at this point ISIS alone cannot take it, they wasted their chance. the race is now for As-Suwar, SAA needs to cover around 3x the amount of ground the kurds would need to.

so it's in their best interest to hurry the hell up.

But Al Suwar is way beyond Deir on the other side of the river, can't see the SAA bypassing Deir. That is getting into 'US owned' territory. Surely it would be fairly straightforward task for the SDF to get there first as they need to secure Syria east of the Euphrates? Also, are there any bridges left or is it a pontoon crossing?

These are all empty or plain Arab areas, not matter what the Kurds can do in a month or two (when Raqqa will fall), by that time SAA will be at Deir Ezzor and ready to cross the river. Pickup trucks and wishful thinking won't get the Kurds past Raqqa, already 50% of what they theoretically control, is foreign to them. And thus temporary. The Kurds and their campaign is basically over, at least with the current White House policy.

CIA black-ops. Really easy to figure out. No one and I mean no one in Afganistan flies heli's in such a fashion without the U.S knowing, intercepting, and/or making a fuss about it. The reports are just "opposition" trying to keep them honest, and make their work a bit harder. Sloppy and too blatant so they get called out....

ISIS attacks with their best troops and advances almost 50 k's just to be cut off by "returning" Tiger forces and then annihilated between them and the Russian Air Force. Crafty bastards....

It was a feigned retreat like I said how ISiS fell for such a simple trap makes me laugh.
