Bit of an unnecessary comment that one. Jordan is one of only three countries (from memory) that has publicly lost a pilot and aircraft in this saga.

I predicted a few weeks back that there is a real threat of ISIS cutting off the Ithriya Salamiyah road with HTS assistance. My predictions came true but I didn't know this narrow stretch of land is easily defendable due to it being flat, so I guess we can all have a sigh of relief for now.

Before the assault on Huwaysis ISIS Hunters took under control several strategic IS strongholds located to the southeast from the city. It has a spacious corridor, two large rooms, two exits and primitive system of ventilation. Here terrorists sheltered from artillery barrages and bombardments, cooked food, rested. Inside there was a huge library of IS propaganda materials and Wahhabi books printed in Kuwait. Moreover, there was a huge amount of drugs. The way this stronghold looks suggests that it was built by professional builders with involvement of slave labor. It is obvious that it was meant to become a fortress for long-term defense, and that terrorists would not just leave. None of fortified strongholds would help ISIS mercenaries resist the onslaught of hunters.

This asshole knows that Iran is not going anywhere, this mother fucker is just throwing a sissy fit. Terrorists have been cleared from the Lebanon border, freeing up Hezbollah from that front and as slowly terrorists are killed, this asshole and his piece of shit country that has caused so much pain, will have to live with it. And if this clown tries something, he knows he will be fucked.

Putin will not give this asshole anything, he knows that he has his foot on this assholes throat with Hezbollah. Word is, Iran is the second coming of Satan, or so they're whispering at the U.S. They're doing the same thing with Putin, in hopes he bites the bait. The american bait is framed as the impending loss of allies in the region for America as the Shiite crescent will have a domino effect and will eventually swallow all their vassal monarchies in the M.E (S.A, U.A.E, Jordan etc etc). The Russian bait is a bit different, less powerful but pretty much with the goal of sowing doubt and distrust - that is, disclosing Iran's dirty laundry in its efforts to destabilize its enemies (well of course Iran is engaged in dirty shit?). Anyway given such danger, Israel is "prepared to preemptively strike" if things "get too far" = WAR! Thus Russia and the U.S must contain Iran, for the sake of stability or Israel will, in a messy way. They hope that Russian support for Iran weakens and that the U.S continues to pressure Iran with sanctions and the regime change putsch = perfect cornering of Iran on the world stage = happy Israel with once again no significant threat to their ways.

The real petty for humanity is not Iran with regional ambitions (to be expected) but a small rogue state of 10 million, with at least 70 nukes threatening anyone with WAR. Don't have to mention the nukes to know what's at stake as well if you so happen to kick Israel's shit so deep that, to avoid catastrophic collapse, turn to their nukes for a "fuck all" salvo. Only the collapse of its patron, the U.S, will allow the world to put microscopic lenses on Israel to come clean, change or collapse in the desert alone.

Probably the range of SAMs that can protect these bases from air threats.

ISIS launched a large offensive along the Euphrates and recaptured several villages from SAA.
Islamic State captured Muqlah, Salim al-Hammad, Abu Hammad, Subayat, Ghanim al-Ali, Zwar Shammer and Al-Jabali

This is very dangerous, Syria really needs Deir ez-Zor to rebuild because of it's oil. I don't know what the SAA and Allies are doing, they really need to get all the Forces they can and go for Deir ez-Zor from all directions.

Whilst there will be US pressure to go for Deir much of the SDF is bogged down in Raqqa and I doubt that there is much enthusiasm for what will be lots of death at the hands of ISIS wanting to die, taking as many 'non believers' with them as possible.

Further west it still looks like the SAA are carefully sorting things out before they make that  dangerous trip to Deir.

There are no such air defense systems in the Euphrates Shield region. There are only Stinger systems mounted on M113's.
