In so sad but clearly the US is only using its Kurdish proxies for their own games, moving to counteract Syria and its allies' success at repelling all foreign-backed terrorists. Fighting ISIS is obviously of lesser interest. The US is bent on carving out the area east of the Euphrates as in own area of influence, thereby dividing Syria and positioning themselves as integral to any future negotiations and developments. The Kurds are really must think carefully about what future they want for themselves as the US, Turkey, Iran etc. care only of their own strategic interests.

Look at the East of the Euphrates River, all those Gas and Oil fields, the SAA need to strengthen their positions and go for those.

Yes, they are. Excellent job SAA and RuAF. I think, we must not forget in this story the crew of RuAF Su-34, which in last days in May made a night strike on ISIL gethering of ISIL commanders with Al Baghdadi. In this strike RuAF decapitate ISIL military leadership and this is very important reason, why ISIL is collapsing now so quickly and SAA with RuAF help is liberating their country with such speed.

I am still so curious about that airstrike, what exactly happened and how it came about. It will be a while before we know anything about it but curiosity is overwhelming.
Just Russian intel-gathering vindicating itself again. Coalition had conducted some 30 strikes if I recall that had intended to take him out. Russia gets shit done, pretty much all there is to it imo. They're revered and feared for a reason.medo wrote:PapaDragon wrote:medo wrote:littlerabbit wrote:KiloGolf wrote:"tribal force" hobo spirits sky high

For what we know, it was an airstrike on gethering of ISIL military leaders. Whatever exactly happened in that moment, it have a big positive after effect and this is it, what realy count here.

let's repeat this.
Location of RuAF airstrikes in which Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was allegedly killed.
4 miltiple storys bilding leveled to the ground.
This is truly exceptional strike. Something forced Russia to strike Raqqa while Kurds were advancing. They had a good reason.
