The 50 alleged SAA killed in the tunnel bombing is BS. Did they dig the tunnel under such a large collection of soldiers and just hoped
they stayed in place? And nobody noticed the never ending vibrations from the ground 24/7? Yeah, sure. If it was an artillery
barrage hitting accurately a concentration of SAA I would buy it. This video is hardly convincing and does not look all that massive,
as in covering an area large enough to randomly net 50 soldiers.

Aren't the tunnels built in advance as a defensive measure, a kind of ambush.

No they are mainly dug to avoid arty and air strikes.

You can cave tunnels in with strong enough rounds from strikes but that require very precise weapons something ISIs doesn't have.

They only really have dumb fire stuff, that said....it's very very very unlikely the SAA wouldn't notice a tunnel being dug right under them I mean don't get me wrong at times the SAA can be incompetent but...that incompetent I don't believe myself.

Alot of false claims started flying around today.

    If BS then good.

If not then hopefully many SAA morons paid for this (yet another) incompetence with their worthless lives.

SAA honestly made a tactical error here I dunno how the Russians missed it in your map, for example, papa, that one black line that isn't an arrow The SAA should have sent the tigers who got freed up to capture everything on the left side of it.

There was no reason to leave that large spot entering into your lines when they could have easily shortened it there.

Hell that spot is a prime target for an encirclement you just need to capture one more side

If true that would be 6000 too many on the ground.

But it's not. Overall there are 6000 Russian military personnel in Syria total, air, land, navy included.

ISIS is claiming that they killed one Russian soldier and captured two. The MoD has denied the reports. “There were no reports of incidents connected with capture or losses among servicemen of the Russian armed forces in the Deir ez-Zor governorate and other Syrian areas."

They use those tunnels to move around under cover. When SAA attack, they reatret, wait for SAA to enter buildings and then blow them up.
All dead from yesterday are confirmed by name and place of birth by SAA sources. Whole block of buildings is blown up.

Here is small part od Jobar after 40 days of SAA offensive. Every building destroyed, soon to be gone completely.

Some really illogical moves by SAA. Why did they send Tiger force to Hama, wtf? They didn't even manage to start that operation in Hama, and they need to go back to Deir again...

Only logical move by SAA now is to finally manage to capture T2 and to push toward Euphrates, finish with IS in central Syria once and for all.
Something like that maneuver after IS counterattack south of Raqqa.

Kill by drone, die by drone. Poetic justice.

SOUTHWEST ASIA, Sept. 29, 2017 — Coalition airstrikes killed three senior and highly skilled Islamic State of Iraq and Syria officials near Mayadin, Syria, Sept. 12-14, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve officials reported today.

Abu Salman, an ISIS drone developer, was killed during airstrikes Sept. 14 while traveling with a terrorist associate in a vehicle from Mayadin to Asharah. His research workshop, located in Asharah, near Mayadin, was also destroyed in the strikes. His death and the destruction of his drone facility greatly disrupt ISIS’ development of weaponized drones and testing of new software.

Abu Muadh al-Tunisi and Sajid Farooq Babar were killed on Sept. 12 and 13, respectively, by coalition airstrikes near Mayadin. Both were responsible for manufacturing and modifying commercially produced drones.

“The removal of these key ISIS leaders disrupts and degrades ISIS’ ability to modify and employ drone platforms as reconnaissance and direct fire weapons on the battlefield,” said coalition spokesman Army Col. Ryan Dillon.

The coalition will continue to exert pressure on ISIS senior leaders and associates across multiple networks to degrade, disrupt and dismantle ISIS structures and defeat terrorists throughout Iraq and Syria.

Apparently most points seized yesterday by ISIS in the Palmyra- Deir-Alzor road will shortly, if not already, been retaken by the SAA.

Meanwhile in the mountains SAA captured Soha, 2nd major city after Uqaribat. Believe that leaves only one major center still under ISIS control.

At the rapid rate that the SAA 'liberated' the countryside there wasn't a bat in hells chance that they would have caught all the rats. Some may even have been in custom designed bolt holes just for this eventuality. Suicide guerrilla tactics if you like.

Logistics would have been their Achilles heel, maybe they were running out of food and water, or even just getting bored and had to go now. One thing is for certain, they will have no staying power. Just a flash and they are dead and gone.

The bigger potential problems are in those large areas still occupied by ISIS were they can organise properly logistic supplied raiding parties, as they did attacking the main road.

Heard Qaratayn has fallen not sure tho any news coming out of that area is like hazzy at best.

I'd say it false personally, but in the off chance, it's true some SAA commanders need to be shot at this point.
