The best thing I read was that the terrorists had fled from the town but could only go southwards, into the cauldron.

Turn it into a siege and starve them into surrender. Or just kill them, they didn't show mercy.

Kafr Zita and Latmin takeover by Syrian Army this morning, first time they control the towns since 2012.
Seems all of Erdogan’s rats are indeed congregating towards their Turkish sponsors in Morek. Will be easier to place them in green buses from one location.

Turkey's Morek observation post in the background. Looks like 'PortaLoos' in the left middle distance.
Turkey will maintain its presence at the ninth observation post in the Syrian town of Morek despite the Syrian army regaining control over the city of Khan Sheikhoun, located in the country’s northwestern Idlib province, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Thursday.
“The ninth observation post in the town of Morek remains in its initial point despite the city’s fall. The Syrian army regained control of the city of Khan Sheikhoun,” Aksoy said.
He refused to comment when asked how the observation post was supposed to continue functioning after the city moved under Damascus’ control.

Re: Syrian War: News #19
It seems that there was little fighting as the SAA pushed forward. Perhaps all the shelling and bombing over the past weeks, plus the rapid advance in actual fighting, broke the morale of the terrorists which could have an effect on the rest of Idlib's 'defenders'. Next stop Turkey? If so expect the anti-deserter gun squads to appear. Nothing like a bit of internal terrorist infighting to cull numbers and hit morale.
There is a strong possibility that the terrorists are now holed up inside the Turkish OP. Hope they got a lot of water etc in there.

It’s the most blizzard of situations, Turkish OP surrounded completely as the SAA march further north. Why not just give the ultimatum to Turkey, pull out or be bombed out? There is nothing the Turks can do right now, the OP is lost.
Looking at livemap, there are at least 2 other OP that could fall in the near future.
Another OP further up the M5 is currently undergoing more construction work.
Interesting times ahead and as Pappa has stated, feels like old times again

Everyone knows Erdogan's intention deploying massive army tanks artillery in Syria to rebuild Ottoman empire. Well, guess what, they still got a long way to go. They'll need to deploy millions of men to rebuild Ottoman empire. 1 base here and there means nothing.

No dude, what's the rush? No need for drama.
Herd all the jihadists inside the OP with Turks and leave it like that.
Turks were even courteous enough to build a nice big wall around it.
Just make sure no food or water goes inside and let them "talk" it over amongst themselves

The day Erdogan is out of power is the day Ottoman army leaves Syria. And with the collapsing Turkish economy it appears to be sooner than later.
https://ahvalnews.com/turkish-economy/perfect-consistency-turkeys-troubled-economy
A secular Turkey is Turkey's future. And that is good for Russia and the civilized world.

The Astana agreement between Turkey and Russia, with the blessing of Iran and Syria, has also established static Turkish observation positions in Morek, south of Khan Shaykhoun, (now in the current Syrian Army military operational theatre). Turkey is showing uncharacteristic timidity in the way it is contesting the military operation against the al-Golani group and other rebels and jihadists. Sources close to decision makers in Syria said “Turkey was not at all surprised at the operation and its objectives. The Astana agreement is being imposed by fire on those contesting it.”

BS. An idiot knows Erdogan's so called observation bases are full fledged army bases equipped with tanks and artillery to rebuild Ottoman empire. Erdogan will end up like Hitler or Mussolini. And that is good for Russia. A secular Turkey is good for Russia.

Re: Syrian War: News #19
Syrian army should not bother with the turkey observation post.. and move to clear more
cities to the west of idlib.. towards the north.. as close as possible to Turkey border..
By respecting the observation post of Turkey ,the Syrian army can show they are respecting the agreements in the Astana negotiations between Russia ,IRAN and Syria.
They can even offer food to the turkey soldiers and be nice to them..
while at the same time block their radio communications so they can't reveal any
information of Syrian army movements.. and if really wants to piss the turks..
they can build a large fence around the observation post ,to block the view of
the turks towards Syrian army operations.
Where is our friend ,who claimed Syrian army was "losing territory" in Syria?
It looks like the Jihadist rebels got their asses kicked.. when it comes to their efforts to stop
Syrian army advances.. Really think Syrian army should take some time of break and reinforce their positions , Because this is a very long term war ,, how it should be fought.
and resume a new advance 2-3 months after this.

Turkey violated Astana agreement since day 1 deploying tanks into Syria to rebuild Ottoman empire, arming NLF with Kornet missiles to take Damascus. If I were Assad I bomb the shit out of Mork base. These young men can go back home in black bags. Let's see how Erdogan explain to the Turkish public how his Ottoman dream cost these young men their lives. The sooner Erdogan gets a bullet in the head the better for Russia. The sooner Turkey becomes a secular country again the better it is for Russia.

Doesn't matter who is in charge in Turkey, they will still interfere in Syria... right now with Ergodan at least we know he is no friend of the US after they tried to overthrow him.
Ultimatewarrior... you are so anti Erdogan... you sound like the UK PM and US president and most EU officials... Assad must go... Erdogan must go...
If you are Syrian then my apologies... but otherwise why do you think you have the right to decide who leads what country?

Re: Syrian War: News #19
Prototypical "Kurd good" "Erdogan, Turks bad" bot spreading the same drivel as those before it. Tiresome...
Erdogan will soon travel to Russia to beg Putin for more time. His Muslim Brotherhood brothers and sisters in Syria are facing extermination. That's Al-Qaeda after all, the military branch of the Brotherhood - of which Erdogan belongs.
The ploy is exhausted. But Putin puts up with it for that strategic patience... it's Syria that bleeds after all.
Russia wants a Turkish-U.S clash. With the current safe-zone deal it's not gonna get it any time soon. Erdogan is such a fvcking pvssy he's allowing the Kurds to live for another day and is not seizing on the moment - nationalist Turks must be raging (the ones not duped by state propaganda of course). Ohh well.
Erdogan made his choice as to what is worse = either 1: complete economic raiding and political destabilization from the U.S/EU or 2: a humanitarian crisis as a result of an Idlib exodus caused by a Russian/SAA campaign to retake all of the province. Not only is the "humanitarian exodus" an issue, his stocks of fresh jihadi cannon fodder to use against the Kurds will severely diminish - thus putting a heavier toll on actual Turks from the Turkish armed forces = more loses = more internal political pressure on him.
He's already decided he wants no piece of the U.S/Trump. Having sanctions and the lira go belly up will severely damage Turkey. So he'll try his luck with the weaker power - Russia.
Wants neither 1 or 2 but thinks he can sweet talk Putin into settling for nothing in Idlib (another postponement and ceasefire - the usual B.S) while the Americans celebrate their deal and keep their position on the table intact.
We'll see what Putin's gang decides. Don't have high hopes for the man lately although he's open to surprises once in a full moon.
Erdogan the fool, Erdogan the brave... Erdogan the coward. All apply. Textbook example of why you never ever set your neighborhood on fire. But lil cult fools like that muslim brotherhood rat always fall into traps. Great Sultan for sure..
