A real war is unfolding in the Middle East. After a terrorist attack by Israel using household appliances, massive rocket attacks and carpet bombings of southern Lebanon began. Israel has clearly decided to turn from a victim into an executioner, after the genocide of the population of Gaza, it has begun the genocide of the inhabitants of Lebanon. This inevitably means the inclusion of other Shiite countries and movements in the war: Syria, Iraq, the Yemeni Zaydis, and most importantly, Iran, and - at the next stage - Sunni states. Israel clearly needs a war. It seems to be large-scale, merciless, cruel, biblical. This clash has no chance of remaining something local. An escalation is coming, and the use of nuclear weapons, which Israel has, but Iran may also have, is not excluded. Of course, we are talking here only about tactical nuclear weapons or "dirty" bombs, which in the context of all of humanity is not fatal, but it will have the most catastrophic impact on the fate of the region.

There are several explanations for the Lebanese war. Let's focus on two.

First: Israel's goals and the eschatological context. It is important to understand what goals the Jewish state is pursuing. Of course, one can consider Netanyahu's extreme radicalism a consequence of the psychological trauma after the Hamas attack on Israel and the hostage-taking. It was an act of terrorism, but Israel could not think of anything better to respond to terror with terror: to small terror - with big, all-consuming, all-destroying terror, sparing no one. No one justifies the actions of Hamas, but then genocide broke out. The terror by Hamas was condemned by everyone, and the genocide by Israel against the population of Gaza - by everyone except the collective West and its satellites. Double standards. The same will happen with Lebanon. The West is covering for Israel, as in the case of Zelensky's Nazi junta. And there is no reason to hope for a change in this position (especially since Trump, although he clearly disdains Zelensky, is a staunch supporter of Israel).

But what is Netanyahu really trying to achieve? Mental stress does not clarify the real goals of this war, which is only just beginning to rage. The fact is that Israel's position on the eve of the war in Gaza was generally stable.

The main threat was demography, since Israeli society in the Arab sea is only a small ethno-religious island, which remains so even with a high birth rate not only among Orthodox Jews (Haredi), but also in secular families. And still, this is incomparably small if you add to the Palestinians of the two autonomies and Israel itself the population of neighboring Arab countries, related to the Palestinians both ethnically and religiously. In such a situation, any strengthening of Israel's position in the region, not to mention the colonization of Palestinian lands by Israeli settlers, was simply impossible. Maintaining the status quo, Israel as a state of Jews was doomed to disappear after a certain amount of time, even due to demography.

Moreover, the implementation of the right-wing Zionist project of Greater Israel from sea to sea seemed completely unthinkable. There is simply no one to populate or develop these territories given the dense Arab mass on all sides.

And yet, despite this, Netanyahu began military operations in Gaza and expanded them into southern Lebanon.

In Gaza, we have already seen the discovery of the true goal - the physical genocide of Palestinians with the parallel transfer of those who survive beyond the borders of Israel. As horrific as it may sound, this makes sense for Israel. Unable to change its own demography sufficiently sharply, it remains to destroy the population that interferes with the implementation of eschatological projects by its very existence and ethno-religious code. But this would be reckless and unrealistic, if it were not for the calculation that something extraordinary will happen after a decisive breakthrough. And this extraordinary is by no means a "black swan", but a completely understandable event - the coming of Moshiach. According to Jewish beliefs, before the coming of Moshiach (although, according to some versions, after his coming, which explains the anti-Zionist currents among Orthodox Jews), Jews must return en masse to the Promised Land from the Diaspora, proclaim Jerusalem as the capital, and then demolish the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the second most important shrine of Islam, and build the Third Temple in its place. Then Moshiach will come and all the nations of the world will bow to him, since his power will be absolute. This will be the moment of the establishment of the worldwide Jewish Empire, and the Jews, as the chosen ones, will shepherd the nations with an iron rod.

Approximately such a program is openly professed by religious Zionists from Netanyahu's inner circle - Itamar Ben-Gvir, Betzalel Smotrich, as well as their spiritual leaders Rav Kook, Meyer Kahane and the modern rabbi Dov Lior. The genocide of Palestinians in this model is an insignificant side effect due to the fundamental nature of the coming event. It is on this group that Netanyahu relies. The construction of Greater Israel and the accompanying eschatological wars make sense precisely in the context of the conditions for the coming of Moshiach. And it is no coincidence that Hamas called its terrorist raid "Al-Aqsa Flood". It should also be noted that it is among the Shiites that a similar scenario of the demolition of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the beginning of the final war with the forces of Dajjal (Antichrist) in the Holy Land is a common place in all eschatological hadiths.

In other words, Armageddon is raging in the Middle East in the most literal sense – the war of the End Times. This is how Netanyahu and his entourage see it, but this is exactly how religious Shiites understand it, albeit from the other pole. Of course, secular Israelis, who believe in nothing but shekels and individual comfort, are rushing to demonstrate against their own government. And secular circles of Shiite countries – primarily businessmen and youth – do not know any eschatological hadiths. But history, as we see, is not driven by them now, but by people with a heightened awareness of the end of the world and the events that accompany it.

The second explanation for the war in the Middle East is geopolitical. Our time is passing under the banner of the main dilemma: the unipolar world, that is, the sole hegemony of the West, does not want to end and is trying with all its might to defend itself, while the multipolar world is rising against it with renewed vigor, each civilization of which insists on full sovereignty, and therefore on independence from the collective West, which inevitably leads to a fight against hegemony. The first front of this war is Ukraine, where the Nazi regime of Kyiv, founded, equipped and supported by the collective West, is waging a war with us, sovereign Russia as an Orthodox-Eurasian civilization, with one of the most important poles of the multipolar world and the flagship of the anti-hegemonic struggle. The West is fighting with the hands of others, but is preparing to join the war with Russia directly.

In this context, the Middle East is yet another theater of the same war between the unipolar world and the multipolar one. If in the eyes of Netanyahu and the eschatological Zionists, Israel and the fate of the Jewish people, inextricably linked with the Messiah, are at the center of the world, then for the globalists of the West, Israel itself is only a tool in the struggle to preserve its planetary hegemony. The Islamic world, rejecting liberal values, is seen as an antagonistic civilization. And with it, the collective West is gradually being drawn into a war. At the same time, it is the Shiites who are the ideological vanguard in the Islamic civilization, so the power of the West falls primarily on them. Through Israel, the West hopes to strike a blow at yet another — Islamic — pole of the multipolar world. For these purposes, Washington is now hastily strengthening its alliance with its vassals among the Sunni countries, primarily with the UAE. It is unlikely that Washington believes in the Messiah (although who knows?), but opening a front against Islamic civilization using militant Zionism and Greater Israel projects is the obvious goal of the globalists.

Next will come Taiwan and a conflict with another pole of the multipolar world – China. And again the collective West will rely on regional proxies – Taiwan itself, Japan, South Korea – and try to draw India into this coalition. Although India is another pole of multipolarity, and in order to curb Delhi’s movement towards anti-Western decolonization and further sovereignty, the West contributed to the recent color revolution against the pro-Indian government of Bangladesh led by Sheikh Hasina. It is obvious that other fronts of the same war are being prepared – in Africa and Latin America, as well as in various regions of the Islamic world. The fate of the future world order will be decided on all of them: will the West retain its hegemony or will the multipolar world become a reality, and the West will become just one of several civilizations with the right to vote, but deprived of the status of hegemon and even leader.

But for now we are at the second stage - on the threshold of a major war in the Middle East.

Before we figure out how we should treat this second front of the great geopolitical redivision of the world, we must clearly understand the goals of the global participants in this conflict, and not build unnecessary illusions about the rational and mystical-religious motives of the main forces involved. Today, we need geopolitical realism, calmly and restrainedly taking into account all the fundamental factors of the complex situation in which we - and all of humanity - find ourselves. Emotions must be put aside in favor of a cold assessment of what is happening, including those dimensions that we were not accustomed to taking into account during the Soviet and liberal regimes in Russia. Previously, everything was explained by ideology, economics, energy, and the battle for resources. All of this is still present today, but it is certainly not the main thing. Considerations of an eschatological, civilizational, and planetary-geopolitical nature are much more significant. We have been studying the material for too long, neglecting the world of ideas. And it is ideas that move the world.
