MOSCOW, 14 Nov — RIA Novosti, Andrei Kots. To seize the initiative, to destroy critical infrastructure, provide deployment of troops in the Kherson region held exercises of special forces of the APU, which was worked out operation to return the Crimea to Ukraine. The scenario provided for attacks by sabotage groups on key objects of the 22nd army corps of the black sea fleet. According to Ukrainian media, after the maneuvers, the units participating in them remained on the border with Crimea in a state of high alert. About how Kiev is going to win back the Peninsula — in the material RIA Novosti.

    To Decapitate The Crimea

The legend of the exercise is more like a blockbuster story. Several groups of special forces cross the border unnoticed and secretly go deeper into the territory of the Peninsula. Distributed among the objects, the saboteurs simultaneously paralyze the entire Russian army group: they disable the runways of airfields, destroy communication centers, headquarters and weapons depots, and eliminate commanders. The idea of the Ukrainian command, for a decapitation strike followed by the onset of major land and air forces of Ukraine and the Peninsula comes under the control of Kiev.
Recently, Ukraine has frequently conducted military exercises on the border with Crimea. So, at the end of October, in the Kherson region, they practiced countering the mythical Russian intelligence and sabotage groups that the Ukrainian authorities have been scaring the electorate with since 2014. The maneuvers continued for several days, both during daylight and at night. Their progress was observed by Western experts.
"The General theme of the exercise is to work out a set of preventive measures aimed at ensuring an appropriate level of protection of such objects from possible terrorist threats. The training takes place in conditions as close as possible to real ones, in cooperation with units of the security Service of Ukraine, the National police, the State emergency service, the National guard, the State border service of Ukraine, local authorities and local self — government," Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, commander of the joint forces of the armed forces of Ukraine, told reporters.
The fact that Ukraine is seriously considering a military solution to the Crimean issue is also evidenced by the statements of the Supreme command of the armed forces of Ukraine. Back in July, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Navy, Admiral Alexey Neizhpapa, directly stated that Kiev wants to return Crimea and is preparing for full-scale military operations. The commander-in-chief boastfully reminded that the Ukrainians developed the Neptune missile system, which can allegedly reach Sevastopol from the mainland. Russian politicians rightly noted that the launch positions of this "miracle weapon" will immediately be destroyed by a retaliatory strike if at least one missile launches towards the Crimea.

    Attempts of sabotage

All attempts by Kiev to throw spies into the Crimea invariably ended in failure. In April, the Russian FSB reported on the detention of a group operating under the leadership of the head of the Kherson division of the Ukrainian military intelligence, Colonel Oleg Akhmedov. The saboteurs tried to find out the details of the layout of a number of security facilities on the Peninsula. In January, a local resident was arrested in Crimea, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, created caches with explosives. In February, the FSB reported on the suppression of the preparation of terrorist attacks in two educational institutions in Kerch.
The most famous incident occurred on the night of August 7-8, 2016 near the border town of Armyansk. During the arrest, the saboteurs resisted and opened fire. A Russian serviceman was killed. Two militants were eliminated and three were arrested.
Another group was found on the border itself-at the technological dam across the siwash Bay. According to the FSB, the Ukrainians wanted to mine it. The saboteurs then opened fire, shot a soldier of the 247th guards paratrooper regiment, wounded several and left without loss. From the Ukrainian coast, their withdrawal was covered by a heavy machine gun.
FSB operatives found 20 improvised explosive devices with a total capacity of more than 40 kilograms in TNT equivalent, as well as ammunition, detonators, anti-personnel and magnetic mines, grenades and special weapons. Apparently, these two groups were going to start a small war in the Crimea. However, the Russian special services were ahead of the curve, demonstrating that the Perekop isthmus is securely guarded. No wonder Sevastopol " Berkut "in the days of the" Crimean spring " first took control of this key section of the border.

    Black sea fortress

It is important to note that Kiev is indirectly being pushed by "foreign partners"to try to seize Crimea by force. NATO countries are actively arming the Ukrainian armed forces, providing Ukrainian intelligence with information, conducting joint military exercises, and even recently used the country's airspace for strategic bomber exercises. And in mid-October, Kiev signed a military agreement with Ankara, providing, among other things, for the purchase of Bayraktar TB-2 attack drones. It cannot be ruled out that the" hotheads " in the Ukrainian leadership, having seen enough of the successful actions of Turkish drones against Armenian troops in Nagorno-Karabakh, will decide on their own blitzkrieg.

However, Crimea today is one of the most protected places on Earth. The Peninsula is defended by the 22nd army corps of the black sea fleet, which mainly serves contractors. They are armed with the latest technology, have upgraded t-72B3 tanks, Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems, Msta-S howitzers, coastal missile systems, and TOS-1A heavy flamethrower vehicles.
From the air the Crimea covers the 31st anti-aircraft division, including two battalions of s-300PS and two divisions of s-400 "Triumph". In addition, aircraft of the 27th mixed air division are on duty at Belbek, Dzhankoy and gvardeyskoye airfields: su-24M2 bombers, su-25SM attack aircraft, su-27SM3 and su-30M2 fighters, and Ka-52 helicopters. And the ships of the black sea fleet — one of the most modern and technologically advanced in the Russian Navy-are reliably protected from a blow from the sea.

The APU clearly does not have the strength and resources to win in the Crimea. And it is unlikely that Kiev's foreign patrons will decide to fit in for the wards in full and risk coming together with Moscow in an open confrontation. It is obvious that the Ukrainian authorities are again trying to play the card of external aggression in order to rally the electorate against the background of worsening economic and political problems in the country. You can continue to deliver virtual attacks on your Eastern neighbor. Moreover, Russia, as before, did not come to the war.

Banderastan should wake up from their dream and apologize. Rolling Eyes

I do not believe they would be so stupid. The russian reaction would be quite harsh, and I can suspect that even government buildings in Kiev would become a target for retaliation (as an example, kiev is well within Iskander range)

Russian assets that cost a kopek for them would be enough to dismantle Ukraune forever. Ukraine has zero chance of anything.

Their attempts at using spies and what not has ended in failure. Crimean stationed units alone can wipe out Ukraine. Can you imagine the western military district?

The Kiev regime is a delusional fart bubble. They started with the propaganda drivel that they were fighting the regular
Russian army in the Donbass and not local freedom fighters and now drink their own koolaid. The regular Ukrainian army
and its mass grave paramilitaries could not handle the Donbass defenders and think they will roll over the region because
they have some new plan and Bidet will be fondling their balls.

Russians are in no mood for NATzO shenanigans. Expect that the Ukr storm troopers will be in for the shock of their lives.
The Donbass army has not been atrophying under the ceasefire. It has more than likely been improving under direct Russian
guidance. I have not heard a single peep about morale in the Donbass collapsing and people giving up. So they are going
to fight to save their homes and themselves. Also, Russia giving them citizenship while they stay in their homes is a type
of slow moving "annexation" or more correctly liberation and undoing of the criminal land transfer by the Bolshies. So Russia
is going to be supporting these citizens directly if the Kiev regime manages to make unlikely inroads.

Kiev will likely start an offensive on Donbas in Spring with the new toys they got from Turkey. Unfortunately, if Russia does not involve themselves and close the air-space over Donbas the rebels are likely going to get blown up quite a bit as they lack the proper amount of air-defenses to deal with UAV's. On the flip-side, the terrain is mostly flat so the Ukrainians aren't going to have a good time if Russia does decide to step in.

This sort of analysis is detached from reality. Even in terms of EW capability the Donabass defenders can shut down that miraculous
    drone force. Remember Debaltsevo.

Just because the Kiev regime has gotten some drones does not mean it has a magic recipe for success. Your really are nonsensically
dismissive of Russian counter-drone operations ability and for some bizarre reason assume that Russia is going to avoid giving the
defenders any help in this regard whatsoever. Russia gave the people of the Donbass a chance to get Russian citizenship not because
it wants them to leave the region, but since it is willing to stop NATzO creep towards its borders. This means making sure that
the Donbass can not only stave off any Banderite attack, but can kick their asses back past the borders of Donetsk and Lugansk.

Bidet will have to risk is neck to make any difference. Sanctions and hysteria against Russia are not going to win any wars for him.

    I agree, it's not.

kvs wrote:Your really are nonsensically dismissive of Russian counter-drone operations ability and for some bizarre reason assume that Russia is going to avoid giving the defenders any help in this regard whatsoever.

The DNR is not officially part of Russia; any help they have provided thus far has been quite minimal, especially in terms of air-defense equipment as most of it is sitting in Russia proper. It is difficult to hit slow, low-flying drones. This is why the Pantsir's recently got an update specifically for that reason.

A simple solution would be to blow up the command posts these drones are controlled from or to use your own air-force and air-defenses to deal with any of the drones that end up slipping past. Unfortunately it is incredibly unlikely that Russia itself will involve themselves in any future DNR vs Ukraine battle.

Russia is not some behemoth creating wunderwaffe weapons. They are very good at what they do though are ultimately human. If you believe that the DNR will suffer no losses due to drones then I feel sorry for the moment that you are proven wrong and I am as anti-Ukraine as it can get.

This is needless speculation as we do not know the real reason it was decided to provide them Russian citizenship.

    I agree, it's not.

From what I gather the Krasukha electronic warefare system is well acquainted with the kind of drones that were being used in Armenia. And they have them in the Donbass regions. There's probably lots of kit on the front line but its all secret.

In July 2018, an OSCE monitoring mission drone recorded a 1L269 Krasukha-2 among other electronic warfare equipment deployed near Chornukhyne, Ukraine.

Krasukha jammers were reportedly deployed to support Russian forces in Syria. They have reportedly been blocking small U.S. surveillance drones from receiving GPS satellite signals.

Reportedly, Krasukha is operating around the Russian military base at Gyumri in Armenia to counter the use by Azerbaijan of Turkish-made Bayraktar armed drones as well as Israel-made Harop loitering munition (suicide drones).

Two comments really... first of all this is what happens when you get rid of any dissenting voices and surround yourself with yesmen who say yes to everything you say and think... you know... a bit like the Soviet Union after Stalin had his purges... it took a devastating collapse before they realised some of the dissenting voices had a good point and should be taken out of prison and reinstated.

Second... couldn't this all be part of Putins trap... he tells Erdogan to send drones to the Ukraine to encourage them to use them so the Ukrainians will do something stupid and aggressive like Suck Arse Milli Vanilli did in South Ossetia in 2008...

Banderites are delusional. They really believe some drones are sci-fi level technology that "revolutionizes" the battlefield.

All these f*cking precious drones are is just slower moving missiles. You would think that missiles don't exist and that Russia
especially does not know anything about them. Mindstorm made an excellent post in the NK thread that most NK defender
casualties did not involve drones. Trying to use the isolated NK defenders as some sort of evidence for lack of preparation by
    Russia is absurd and obscene.

Azerbaijan took advantage or was more likely set up to clean out NK thanks to Pussynian's purge of the Armenian military
to replace competent officers with regime bootlicks. This incident has echoes of WWII since Hitler assumed that Stalin's
purges of the military during the 1930s weakened the USSR's defenses. But unlike with Pussynian, Stalin's purges were
actually quite useful since the Soviet Army was ridden with Trotskyist stooges and even German spies. It was not all
a big lie. Out of all the European states, only the USSR gave Hitler a hard time. None of the other states had any
purges and gulags as an excuse. The French outright surrendered and installed a quisling regime.

Back to the Donbass, the situation is the diametric opposite of NK. Russia has its shit together and is not going to let
NK flap in the wind. It has no agenda to do this. Pussynian did have an agenda.

The Yugoslav army/partisans delayed the Barbarossa by ~ 2 months & liberated themselves w/o much help from any1. Also, the UK must be considered European as it sits right off the coast of France, & her resistance was detrimental to Germany's war effort.

Yugoslavia was an italian problem. The italian efforts proved disapointing, that´s why Germany had to send troops into Yugoslavia. Which delayed Barbaross. Correct.

The english fellows fled from France instead of fighting the german army. There "victory" in the so called "Battle of Britain" was pathetic because more then half of the german air force was preserved for the war against Russia.

The biggest delay for Barbarossa was the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact which clearly delayed German action on the eastern front for over a year
and gave the USSR a chance to increase its war preparation by 40%.

Revisionists always claim that Stalin was "caught by surprise" when his "ally" Hitler attacked. This can be debunked without much effort.
If Hitler was Stalin's ally just on account of a nonaggression pact, then he was Poland's ally too. And if Stalin was caught by surprise,
then why did the USSR spend enormous resources getting ready for war. What we have here is an intellectually insulting bit of word
play: since the Nazi attack was a surprise one, then it was a surprise. Gee whiz, such analytical depth. Such love for the facts.

The main reason Stalin was surprised was because he knew full well that the British were desperate... they were essentially alone in a fight against Germany and they desperately needed real allies that had not already been over run like France and Poland.

He knew full well that British intel and all her agents that had interfered in Russia for centuries (ie read Reilly Ace of Spies and more up to date the Bond series of movies/books) and would literally do anything they could to get the Soviets into the war against the Germans... whether honestly or dishonestly, so orders to Soviet Front lines was to avoid provocation... either from German troops or UK spies to prevent an accidental war from breaking out.

Stalin wasn't stupid, he was just expecting tricks from the British to get him to fight the Germans instead of making the British fight them in Europe.

The West created the Nazis, signed agreements with them, funded them and allowed them to take over the whole Europe undisturbed in order to be capable of tackling the USSR, that is the only outcome of any half-serious research about the WWII and what led to it, and the 80-90% soldier-days Germany spent in the Eastern front is the irrefutable proof of it. The same West that now nurtures Nazis in Eastern Europe or takfiri in the ME, and for exactly the same reasons. Russia was not fooled back then and is not fooled now, they know how the game is played.

Happy Holiday, Ukraine!: The Seventh Anniversary of Maidan

For seven years now, Ukraine has become the pearl of a democratic Europe. Billions of euros of investment were poured into the country and transformed it. New factories are being built everywhere, with happy workers receiving European salaries of tens of thousands of euros. Weekend entertainment trips to Europe have become the norm.

Well-off pensioners plan foreign voyages, they are no longer oppressed by penny pensions and poverty, all of this has remained in the totalitarian past.

Modern motorways and high-speed highways stretch along the whole of Ukraine, the quality of which will be the envy of Europe. The crystal palaces of modern airports seem to light up the smiles of passengers from within. Stretching up the city’s green parks, glistening pavement of pedestrian areas, the soft rubber of bike lanes.

From behind the Atlantic border wall surrounding Ukraine, a vegetative Russia hisses enviously, regularly receiving humanitarian aid from a philanthropic, forgiving Ukraine. The citizens of Crimea rage and secretly hope for forgiveness and to return under the wing of Ukrainian statehood.

    Happy holiday, Mai-dummies. Jump higher.

Ukraine may sober up when the current crop dies from old age. But I expect the next generations to be corrupted by
cheap propaganda like their parents and grandparents.

I also think a lot of Ukrs think Russia will save their asses if things go badly (as if they haven't already). This comes from
the leech mentality they grew both before and after 1990. These morons do not realize that they are fucked, fucked
so hard that they will never recover.

Can't expect much from the military... their job is to fight the enemy no matter what and Russia has been that enemy so long they can't change even if they wanted to.

Perhaps an accountant or economist might point out that the main market and customer and trade partner for the Ukraine is Russia, and that while the west might be keen to save the Ukraine from the terrible claws of Russia and Putin they are not buying Ukrainian products and services.... they seem to be more interested in asset stripping and pinching technology and things of value like they did in Russia in the 1990s but with much more success.

The Ukraine is going to end up an empty husk with no trade because it is cutting off its main customers and its new mates are not interested in what they want to sell because they have a completely different culture and world outlook.

Maybe when the Kiev regime tries to suck up to the EU by offering to take 1 million African and ME refugees but keep border controls so they can't just run to EU countries afterwards the EU might realise that the Ukraine would be a good dumping ground for problems, and also all their prisoners could be sent there too in big Gulags to save EU countries money... they could promote themselves as a place with cheap but skilled and literate labour... and work their way up.

Of course if that succeeds in 50 years time they might be allowed in to the EU, but I think the risk will be that by then some Ukrainians who don't want 1 million foreigners coming in every year might realise that good relations with Russia might be better than the dreams the west keep talking about but never actually deliver on...
