We knew these systems were used in Syria but it sucks that they take 2-3 years to publish, that Kamikaze drone assassination of famous HTS memeber was in 2019 or 2020 and back then it was reported as an ATGM attack, only now we confirm it's Lancet, that drone was used at least dozens of times -edit: 40 at least- and many thought it was Iranian.

I'm impressed by the accuracy of this unguided bomb  from S-70 Hunter though

Wouldn´t say late considering that they had M3 drones in the 60´s and one of the first with the capacity to drop bombs. The russian drone developers were in hibernation for a few years because of the political/military leadership in the 80´s and 90´s.

It still has a secondary meaning my friend.
The point is, that Iranians operated this kind of Wunderwaffe for years, well before Muricans I would guess. scratch
And the Russians are doing the same, well before it gets famous.
That is a difference between Hollywood and real life.
Those Turk scapegoats were dying there one after another, but silently. Bzzzzzzz...kabum. Bzzzzz....kabum. Three... four...hundred ...
Both Russia and Iran do not need a media hysteria about weapon systems they own.

There are some B/R markings on the stars.
    A star is a mission.
B/R i guess states for "bomba" and "rakieta", so bomb or missile strike.
Some first ones are erased - unsuccessful?

AFAIK B is boevoy (strike) and R is razvedchik (reconaisence) mission.

Yes near the end where the drone comes in to land you can see 2(blurred) under each wing.

They are combining materials taken on different occasions, and a different times. Some of them are blurred or downgraded, because secret while took I suppose. The same applies to Wojenna Prijomka series, it is sometimes funny, as you can see a material with blurred parts, just to have the same in 4K 10s after.

Yes near the end where the drone comes in to land you can see 2(blurred) under each wing.

Could be to do with the editing... the blurred footage could be from a time period when showing the drones with kornet missiles was secret, or it might be that they are different missions and those blurred out weapons are LMUR which were secret for some time.

Certainly revealing that they are operating drones with Kornet and LMUR would suggest their drones are vastly more dangerous than they used to be and if they want to be able to hit targets effectively having that sort of thing being not widely known makes it easier to hit targets.

For instance before they killed that Chechen terrorist when he used his cell phone it would be easier to track people using cell phones, but after they would likely be rather more careful and getting kills would require more work and more planning.

Another factor of course is the source of the video, some locations might want to reduce bandwidth use by making it 480 or 360 instead of higher resolution...

Killer trio: a new concept of interaction SU-57-"Okhotntik"-"Grom" #Авиация Roman Barsky Today at 03:00 241 0 "Critical asset" of the Su-57. The potential of the promising Grom UAV, a unique strike and reconnaissance unmanned platform, will allow it to effectively gain air supremacy in conjunction with the Su-57 and the Okhotnik UAV. The mock-demonstrator of the promising strike-reconnaissance UAV "Grom" illustrates the future equipping of both flight prototypes and serial machines with modern multi-mode AESA radars that provide the ability to autonomously detect and deliver missile strikes on surface targets, as well as conduct long-range air battles even without correction and third-party target designation by Su-57 pilots. Tandem «Su-57 - «Okhotnik-B» Today, the attention of journalists and experts of news and military-analytical portals is still focused on the network-centric tandem "Su-57 - S-70 "Okhotnik-B". Thanks to the remote synchronization of the data exchange terminals of the Su-57 pilots with the Okhotnikov-B weapon control system, this tandem receives the widest advantages. Their list includes the possibility of delivering high-precision missile and air strikes by Okhotnik-B drones on enemy ground and surface targets without the need for the Su-57 "leading" (in tandem) to enter the ranges of ground and ship anti-aircraft missile systems covering the attacked objects. Thus, the crews of the Su-57 will remain safe during the strike operation. Against this background, information about the development of an equally unique strike and reconnaissance unmanned platform "Grom" went almost unnoticed. Meanwhile, the design features of the airframe and the potential list of tasks that the grom multifunctional UAV can perform turn this machine into an integral auxiliary link of the Su-57 - Okhotnik-B tandem. This is especially true in the theaters of operations of the XXI century, replete with promising long-range air defense systems and air-to-air missiles of the MBDA "Meteor", AIM-120D and AIM-260 JATM types. The Grom UAV, presented at the Army-2020 exhibition, remains a dark horse so far. But based on the layout and overall parameters of the airframe of the demonstrator layout, some interesting conclusions can be drawn. The effective reflective surface (radar signature) of the Grom UAV is noticeably lower than that of the "big brother" - the S-70 Okhotnik-B. Thus, the estimated EPR/EOPM coefficient of this unmanned aircraft complex can vary in the range from 0.1 to 0.15 square meters. m, while in "Okhotnik-B" this parameter can reach 0.2 - 0.3 square meters. m. This fact is due, firstly, to about 2 to 3 times smaller area of the mid-section of the Grom UAV airframe, and secondly, to the absence of rounded radio-contrast elements of the fuselage (the design is characterized by longitudinal ribs and an angular "month-shaped" supra-fuselage air intake), and thirdly, by the widespread use of composite materials and radio-absorbing coatings. An inclined V-shaped tail unit with a camber angle of all-turn stabilizers-rudders with a height of about 85 degrees (provides scattering of electromagnetic radiation of the enemy radar) also contribute to the reduction of the radar signature of the Grom, as well as a vertically oriented S-shaped bend of the air duct in front of the turbojet engine compressor (the air intake and turbofan axes lie in different planes). This bend prevents direct irradiation of the turbofan compressor blades with radar and the return of reflected electromagnetic radiation to the receiving paths of the enemy radar. To date, such a "closed" layout of the air intake and air duct circuits is characteristic of most multi-purpose manned and unmanned aerial vehicles of the transitional and 5th generation, which are in service with the Air Force and Navy of the NATO member states. This list includes both carrier-based multifunctional fighters F/A-18E/F "Advanced / Super Hornet" and stealth fighters F-22A "Raptor", and French fighters of the "Rafale" family, as well as attack UAVs "nEUROn" from the company "Dassault". The flat cross-section of the TRDD nozzle with the possibility of forming an additional cooling circuit will provide a noticeable decrease in the infrared signature of the Grom UAV In future theaters of operations, the image intensifier tube coefficient of 0.1 square meters will allow drones of the Grom line to reach the launch lines of the long-range air combat missiles "Izdeliye 180" and R-37M (will be integrated into the ammunition of the drone) for most modern Western multifunctional fighters without revealing their own location even for the most high-energy and jam-proof onboard radars AN / APG-77 F-22A fighters, and in the future "Captor-E", developed to equip the promising British fighters "Tempest". When approaching enemy tactical aviation in medium-altitude and high-altitude modes (at altitudes of 5000 - 12500 m), the Grom UAV will be detected by APG-77 and Captor-E radars at a distance of only about 120 and 100 km, respectively, against the background of open airspace, which will already provide a head start in the advance launch of air-to-air missiles "Product 180". With a low-altitude flight mode (against the background of the earth's surface), the range of detection of "Grom" by the above-mentioned on-board radars will be reduced to almost 90 and 75 km, respectively. But it is for operation in the mode of bending the terrain that the integral aerodynamic layout of the glider with a swept wing and an advanced inertial and navigation system with a high-performance BCVM, which receives information from a low-energy radio altimeter and a glONASS radio navigation receiver, are sharpened. To detect such an inconspicuous object at a distance of 180 - 230 km, and even against the background of the earth's surface, a shroud of reflections of electromagnetic waves of the L / D-range and false lights (and even in conditions of active radio counteraction), only the most powerful an /APY-2 radar complex based on a multi-element active phased array with a high level of noise immunity is capable. Only E-3C/G "Sentry" AWACS aircraft are equipped with these radars, which, due to their low speed, maneuverability and vulnerability to R-37M air combat missiles, will not be able to loiter in the immediate vicinity of the active section of the air theater of operations, where the Grom UAVs will be used. In turn, the crews of promising Su-57 and Su-75 fighters will remain outside the reach of the most modern European MBDA Meteor air combat missiles, while maintaining total air supremacy.

New Russian strike drone "Sirius" will make its first flight in May

    Flight samples are being manufactured

The production of RKD (working design documentation - TASS note) has been fully completed. Flight samples are now being manufactured. We are making our first flight in May this year. We are finishing flight tests at the end of this year," Bogatikov reported to the minister.

He also noted that the new complexes will be produced entirely at the new plant. “Now the preparation for serial production is already going on in parallel with the production of prototypes at a pilot production,” he added.

Serial deliveries of new UAVs to the troops will begin in 2023, Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces Sergei Surovikin reported to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

"The first serial delivery of this Inohodets-RU aircraft is in 2023," Surovikin said. He noted that the range of the new apparatus is 3,000 km.

UAV "Helios-RLD" will make its first flight in 2024

Director General of JSC "Kronstadt" Sergey Bogatikov clarified that a draft design is being carried out on the drone

DUBNA / Moscow region /, January 27. /TASS/. The first flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle of the Helios-RLD radar patrol, manufactured by JSC Kronstadt, is scheduled for 2024. This was reported to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu by the General Director of the company Sergei Bogatikov.

Last year, three new state contracts were concluded for the preliminary design of three topics. These are Helios-RLD, Thunder and Lightning,” Bogatikov reported to the minister.

He clarified that a draft design is currently underway for the Helios-RLD drone. "Our task this year is to hand over the preliminary design. We are ready to fully release the RKD (working design documentation) next year, start pre-production and ensure the first flight of this aircraft in 2024," the head of Kronstadt said.

Bogatikov noted that a similar situation has developed with the Grom high-speed unmanned aerial vehicle. "This is the concept of a faithful wingman, it provides a breakthrough, first of all, in air layered defense. We are ready to carry out work on it in the coming years," the CEO explained.
