Just as General Smedley Butler said back in the 1930s, the US military is a mercenary force funded by the public to protect American corporate interests. But then the soldiers on the ground probably couldn't give a shit, they are in a fairly safe and well paid job.

The 500 US troops have been reduced to hired guards for a small oil field.
    .......................
The reputational damage to the US is enormous. For the Americans to occupy part of Syria and profit off Syrian national resources is a war crime and violates the Fourth Geneva Convention.
    ..............................
For the United States of America to turn itself into a petroleum mercenary for a shadow little oil company and to siphon off a Syrian resource with no shred of legitimacy in international law is a scandal. It is a scandal that will harm US diplomacy and give Russia and Iran credible talking points in their propaganda push against the US in the region. US demands that there be no foreign interference in the domestic affairs of the countries of the region, by which it means Russia and Iran should butt out, are rendered laughable by the nature of the US presence in Syria.

I don't know about this latest incidents. But Iranians have lost many fighters and personnel in Syria war. About seven or eight hundred. And I don't think the loss of another 800 or 10,000 will stop them in Syria or ME...........carry on as before.

The satellite pics tell a different story, sorry. The attack was not foiled as the article claims. Look at the damage.

I have not read anything regarding the dispersement of equipment or what was lost/what wasn’t lost.

I looked at that satellite photo. So they hit a runway? Wow... Damage didn't even look significant. So it appears that majority of the missiles were shot down and only a relative small hit was made.

    Wow.

T4 airbase hit only two missiles. One hit runway and the second hit empty apron. I don't think Israel launched only two missiles at T4 airbase, so the rest was shot down.

They attack those airbases "hosting" iranians every two months. I think someone should tell them that Iranian never waits for them and move their stuff from there as soon as it comes from Iran.

I wonder how many cruise/ballistic missiles those US made iranian Boeings did bring ? They fly them continuously. They are another level than hezbollah bm-21 grad rockets.

I also wonder if they managed to transform some of their blue subsonic antiship missiles that looks like kh-35/harpoons launched from trucks into land attack cruise missiles. They have 200km range and would be a huge threat to Israel if they were to be used by hezbollah and iranian in Syria.

IMO they are building up their force, probably helped by Russia intel to escape israeli strikes/spying, and will bring around a thousand of real missiles there with probably some hundreds in Yemen and plan an attack on Israel if a war starts.

There is clearly a building destroyed too...what, if anything was it in i have no clue. Perhaps what they were after was in that building, be it equipment or personnel. Idk, but the building was destroyed all the same.

Uh, yeah not really. That base was more or less abandoned and or in very short use.

In other words....nah nothing to write home about.

But hey, if you want to believe that Israel hit all their targets with pinpoint accuracy, be my guest. You are only simply hurting yourself.

In T4 airbase were only two hits, one hit in empty apron and the second hit on runway. Israel for sure didn't launched only two missiles, so the rest were shot down by air defense.

    Syrian War: News #22 - Page 14 Damasc10

Two hits on objects in Damascus International airport. Most probably the rest of the missiles were shot down by air defense.

Iran can still use 40 CH-47Cs &/ 47 Mi-8/17 helos to deliver whatever will fit in them from Iraq:

May be optimistic but will the US keep a rump of forces in Iraq just as in effect logistic support for Syria?

Trump's withdrawal of 2000 US forces from Iraq is a prelude to withdrawing his forces from Syria, and all of that before the next American elections, and by that, he justified his promises that he made in his previous campaign.

Turkey will find it hard to finance the charade in Syria. I mean, I don't know how well paid, equipped and trained those Turkish soldiers are, so it may be a dirt cheap operation for them. But it will be a long occupation of Idlib and it will be in Syria's best interest to also start fortifying around Idlib and also start economically developing all areas around it. Eventually all inside will be sick of Turkey.

Looks like the Sabre toothed Hellfire has struck again and made a real mess.. There are some photos out there, with not recognisable butchery parts. It seems that each of his virgins got their own little bit of him.

Days after Syria’s Ambassador Bashar al Jaafari dropped the bombshell on the UNSC meeting that another false flag chemical attack was being plotted against Idlib, someone dropped a bomb on a terrorist’s vehicle, with him in it. Unconfirmed reports claim the residual mincemeat are comprised of two genetically altered Syrian moderate opposition, human garbage from Tunisia (“Sayyaf al Tunsi”) and Yemen (“Abu Hamza al Yamani”).

It has more to do with recent israel/UAE peace agreements and with the threats of Trump concerning the preparations of an attack on US Sauth African ambassador by Iran.

Talks in Idlib will never be productive, Russia would like Turkey to leave but they aren't going to do much sides use words.

The Turks will never give up that land now, Portion of Syria was annexed pure and simple.
