So the woman co-pilot of the Black Hawk that rammed the airliner had 500 hours of flight experience. That is freaking way too low.
You need over 3000 hours to start applying for pilot jobs. The whole incident smells. One of the operators of the helicopter should have
been awake at the wheel.

Who knows what happened but the fact that people are getting important jobs because they are not male and not white is not something we should be ignoring.

If someone is a radar operator or air traffic controller you find out they can't do their job when people die and that is not acceptable.

I would expect plenty of people who work with these idiots or should I say imposters would complain about the incompetence of these people but management are afraid to do anything and even if they do the replacement is being picked from the same pool of inadequates.

We live in a world where 2 billion people don't have access to safe clean drinking water... and yet most people chatting on this internet forum probably go to the toilet in clean water every day... what a world... what a world.

The sole reason the female pilot gets so much criticism is because she was a woman.

To be fair if she had broken a record or saved some American lives the fact that she was a woman would be the first thing the news media mentioned.

That this crash cost lives and in all the news reports I saw all day no one mentioned who was flying the Black Hawk helicopter.

When you are flying a helicopter one of the most important things you keep in mind is not flying through the flight path of airliners... they have no capacity to manouver and they are going to struggle to see a black helicopter in low light conditions in a built up area where there are lots of lights on everywhere.

The air controllers giving them both permission to fly in the same airspace at the same time should be looked at carefully and there was mention one person wasn't there so one air controller was doing the job of 2 air controllers at the same time... which is an obvious problem too.

Now Trump is in charge they likely wont be pressured to blame the asian.

(in the early 1990s a pair of helicopters were detected flying near the border with Iraq and two F-15s were sent to investigate. They didn't get within 8km of the bogeys flying at 800km/h from behind, because they were afraid they might be Hinds and able to shoot them down (which is ridiculous even to this day). They identified the targets as Hinds and asked for permission to shoot them down. As they ID them as Hinds clearance to fire was given and both helicopters were easily shot down by those heavy interceptor fighters. Turns out they were Blackhawks carrying important US officials and had not changed their IFF codes as they crossed into Iraq airspace. The inquiry blamed the Asian guy on the AWACS for giving permission to fire... it seems he should have known better but no one else made any mistakes.

Pretty rude really.

Desperate Proposal

One day in March 1962, the next report of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) landed on the desk of the 35th President of the United States, John Kennedy . The contents of the 12-page document could not fail to astonish the owner of the White House. American generals proposed to organize terror in their own country and kill fellow citizens. He could not agree to this and did not sign it. The rejected plan was handed over to the CIA, and for many years it gathered dust in the Langley archive.

Even then, the US understood that provocation as a method of starting wars was outdated. To achieve the desired effect, one must, of course, present oneself as a victim. But why wait for the enemy to attack if one can strike at oneself? This is precisely what the US military command wanted to convey to Kennedy.

At that time, Washington faced an unprecedented challenge: a communist regime had been proclaimed in Cuba, just 250 kilometers from Miami. The head of the Cuban government, Fidel Castro, became the number one target for the Americans. However, it was necessary not only to get rid of the comandante, but also to finally overthrow the unwanted regime.

The Bay of Pigs landing operation was not successful. The CIA's attempt to turn 1,400 Cuban emigrants into puppet commandos cost tens of millions of dollars and international disgrace. The heat had to be raked in with their own hands. However, a direct, unjustified intervention would not have been approved even by NATO allies. Moreover, it gave the Soviet Union more reasons to support Havana militarily.

So the American staff decided: if Castro doesn't kill Americans, we'll do it for him. Within the framework of the large-scale plan "Justification of US military intervention in Cuba", a special place was given to Operation Northwoods.

The Deep State at Work

If real victims were not enough, they planned to organize fake funerals for non-existent people.

The Cuban exiles were now given a different role. The military proposed physically eliminating them, with Castro subsequently accused of killing Cubans on U.S. soil. The possibility of sinking boats with refugees on the high seas was also considered.

Kennedy fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Lyman Lemnitzer, for such proposals. The president's authority among the military fell. The establishment began to believe that he was too soft on the Cuban problem. The events of the Cuban Missile Crisis became only additional confirmation for them.

Not the first time

One of the proposals of the American generals was to blow up their own warship in Guantanamo Bay. Such a crime could become a direct reason for the start of the war. However, the idea was not new.

A similar case is connected with the Island of Freedom. As is known, Cuba gained independence after the American-Spanish War. The USA wanted to draw the colonies of the Old World empires into its orbit.

Washington, in the midst of diplomatic friction with Madrid, sent the armoured cruiser Maine to the shores of Cuba "to protect American interests." On February 15, 1898, the ship exploded while entering the port of Havana. The detonation of more than five tons of gunpowder charges in the forward magazines took the lives of two-thirds of the crew.

The naval commission of Captain William Sampson concluded that the battleship sank because of a mine that the Spanish had placed under the ship's bottom. The version was supported by the media. Arguments that the explosion could have had other causes were listened to years later. And then, against the general background, this became one of the reasons for the war. In the eyes of the American public, everything looked like obvious aggression by Spain.

It has not been established exactly who blew up the Maine. Most American experts have concluded that the cause was a fire in the coal compartment. The bituminous coal could have spontaneously ignited. But arson is also possible. The documents are silent about whether the US government was involved. But the version no longer looks so conspiratorial, considering the proposals that the generals made to President Kennedy years later.
