Even more
Unfortunately, we do not know the author of the photo, but we are ready to indicate his name if he opens up to us
So either it was planed, or they are searching for the guy that did it to send him to count trees in Siberia
He ruined their plans. He should hide for the next 10 years IMO

It's quite good for a mock-up. Working undercarriage, working canopy, working weapon bay doors.

Why do ppl think it's a mockup ?
There could still be a prototype outside. Clearly there is an outdoor display.
The plane is way skinnier than it looks under the tarp

Rostec has gone full Apple when it comes to advertising
Two things I noticed:
1) They really did seem to have reused existing Su-57 components to design a new aircraft
2) That's a whole lotta space in ordinance bays, this one is made to haul a lot compared to it's size

Not trying to be funny but it seems F-16.net is a little better than secretprojects, because it seems that in secretprojects the staff getting involved are pointing it more to a 4th gen while F-16.net at least compares it to an F-35 which they say is a 5th gen. Along with another staff member and users thinking they will sacrifice production numbers on Su-57s or halt it for this design while Yuri's intention of the Sukhoi department is different which he favors orders for the Su-57 more and lets not forget the Su-70s either. So ironically the most pro-US aviation board gave at least better compliments to the shit going on over there last time I checked.
Funny how every NATzO fanboi is an expert on Russian aircraft production capacity. I guess Sukhoi can't afford a single factory building and there are no more skilled
workers to hire in Russia. Thus Russia has a hard upper bound on Su-57 production that has to be reduced to accommodate this new jet in a pure zero sum game.
Truly, the mental development of these fanbois is something special.

It will be cool if they fly it also. Why have what looks like a functional unit if not take it for a spin.

Look at the front a little closer. That top intake line is still there. The intake does still come around the top half I think..
Is this some side weapons bay ?

The mockup clearly shows 2 large frontal sidebays, reminiscent of the F-35. This says nothing about their real capacity though. Keep in mind the F-35's weapons bays are actually more versatile than the F-22s, but the problem is the F-35 is too heavy to carry a large payload.PapaDragon wrote:Rasisuki Nebia wrote:Scratch that, i LOVE "Leakers"

I love the design. It's not a pig like f-35.
Drawback is that weapon bays take space that used to be for storing fuel.
I guess its range will be smaller than the one of mig-35 since they have the same size.
They will have to use external tanks to compete.

Most likely yes, I am not sure MRAAM fit but SRAAM should. What is the use of a multirole fighter if it cannot perform strike missions without escort?

Those are quite small in fact, there is no space there for A2G ordnance, and the release is complicated. It needs ventral bays, which we are yet to see... they said something about midnight

Don't be so sure! My calculations were >6 t fuel in my layout (apparently almost identical), and LTS is even a bit longer. BWB not so wide, but still it should have a sizeable amount of internal fuel and I am almost certain it will have more range than the MiG-35. Once you get the weapons in the bays, there is no point on needing EFTs...

Too small compared to what. Its more interesting if the LTS will have Lband wing antennas. The single engine gives lower electrical power, so it might not be feasible but imo theres more than enough space on the wings.dino00 wrote:The nose is so small.
I expect ROFAR to be announced, the plane could fly in 6-8 years so ROFAR will be ready, Su-57 made its first flight without radar.

It is impossible to tell. But the intake extends beyond the frame at this point.
The weapons bays have generous volume which may be one of the reasons for the overall size.

Also vertical stabilizers are all moving just like on Su-57
Cockpit and canopy seem identical as well
As for number 75 I'd say they want to leave enough numbers for all those Su-57 derivatives in the pipeline

Not all prototypes are flying. Some are for ground static tests.

Considering the size of the nose, it could use one of side looking AESA radars from Su-57.

That leak was real. Breach of their security and watered down all their built up to the unveiling. I would have certainly wanted to wait till 20th to see ROSTEC actually succeeding in their promo.Russian_Patriot_ wrote:Updated post, again, they promise some news about the fighter at midnight.

He did a good job with speculative ones and looks close enough.

The shadow of the aircraft shown in the promo looked smiliar to the one below from top as well as to the Yak model.
