The developer of Yars presented a model of a maglev train at Army 2021.

The Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering Corporation (MIT, part of Roscosmos) during the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" showed a model of a Maglev train, which is currently being developed.

According to a TASS correspondent, the mock-up shows the infrastructure of the facility, two trains that move towards each other. The project is still planned to be developed as public transport within cities.

In February, Yuri Solomonov, General Designer of the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Hero of Labor of Russia, told TASS that the corporation has developed a maglev train that can also operate in unmanned mode. According to him, this year should begin trials, the results of which will decide on the deployment of full-scale work on the serial production of a new type of monorail transport system.

MIT is the developer of the Topol, Topol-M, Yars and Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Rostec has created a robot to extinguish fires at industrial facilities. 

Roselektronika Holding of Rostec State Corporation presented a new robotic fire extinguishing system with machine learning technology. The high efficiency of the device with its compact dimensions allows it to be used on ships, drilling platforms and any other industrial facilities. The system was demonstrated at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum.

The complex consists of a stationary fire robot, a explosion-proof camera and a power supply unit. The total weight of the device is 18 kg. When a flame is detected, the complex transmits the coordinates of the burning center to the control system, which automatically directs the gun carriage barrel (water cannon) to the fire. At the same time, the incident log is automatically kept, and all videos from the camera are saved to the archive.

"A fire at an industrial facility is always associated with a high level of risk. Prevention of man-made accidents requires the most reliable and efficient solutions. The robotic fire complex developed by us allows you to automatically detect, recognize and respond to an emergency situation at an early stage. Initially, the device was developed for use as part of the ship monitoring system, but it can also be used at industrial and logistics facilities" – the General Director of the United Instrument-Making Corporation (the management company of the Roselektronika Holding), Sergey Sakhnenko, said. 

When integrated into an existing security system, the fire complex can also perform security functions: it is able to detect intruders and prevent them from entering the object's territory using a water jet. As part of Roselektronika, the development and production of complexes is carried out by an enterprise of the Vega concern – the Energia plant.

The system consists of modules and can be deployed within 20 minutes. The advantage of the system is also the ability to automatically analyze foreign objects that can be fixed to the bottom of the car, with a minimum size of 25x25 mm. The system can be used for both passenger cars and trucks weighing no more than 40 tons and up to 22 meters in length. As part of the SIBER holding exhibition, the central section of the system is presented – a device that scans the bottom of the car and transmits the image to the operator's computer, where the received image is automatically analyzed for identification of foreign objects.

The department of engineering and technical security equipment also demonstrates at the Army a specialized stand with video cameras that are used at the enterprises of the Rostec State Corporation. In addition to explosion-proof and 360-degree viewing cameras, there is an opportunity to see a unique domestic solution-a camera with a protected video stream. Thanks to the built-in cyber protection board with special software, all incoming and outgoing traffic is transmitted encrypted. A special line of cybersecurity cameras eliminates unauthorized access to video surveillance information systems that operate according to the critical information infrastructure registry.

The exhibition visitors are offered an automated system for storing and issuing keys, which eliminates the possibility of unauthorized access. The system can also be integrated with user identification, while the reader used for face recognition simultaneously determines the biometric parameters necessary for issuing keys to authorized users, conducts contactless temperature measurement of employees, which allows you to keep a log, identify potential patients in a timely manner and suspend them from work.

During the exhibition, you will be able to see fire and rescue equipment. Among the exhibits of this year are a blanket for isolating fire centers, a mounted fire rescue cabinet, a fire backpack with filling, as well as air-emulsion fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing aerosol generators and an automatic fire extinguishing module of a suspended type.

SIBER traditionally presents fire and rescue equipment, as well as the latest developments in the field of engineering and technical security equipment intended for use in the framework of integrated security systems at the State Corporation's enterprises. Integration of the displayed equipment is carried out by a subsidiary of the holding – the Scientific and Engineering Center for Security Equipment, which is the competence center of Rostec in the field of design, modernization, implementation and maintenance of ITSO" – Vladimir Kapysh, General Director of SIBER JSC, said. 

A number of business events will be held within the framework of the "Army" with the participation of the management of SIBER and its member companies. Today, August 23, at the opening of the VII International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021", specialists of the Moscow Poly will present for the first time a Smart shuttle-a drone for a park area equipped with automatic control. The equipment is configured so that it can recognize objects, signs and paths thanks to special software and sensors.

Cameras, radars, a global positioning system, ultrasonic sensors — all these are components of the drone, which is designed for four passengers and operates on an electric drive.

The drone can be used as a tour bus to travel along various pre-set routes that are pre-set in the system. The vehicle has a power reserve of 140 km. The Smart shuttle can also provide transportation of visitors to geographically remote areas of parks.

Due to the fact that the wheel arches of unmanned vehicles are closed, the design is as safe as possible. Its special feature is also its compact dimensions, which increase maneuverability — it is convenient to use on the territory of small park areas.

Smart shuttle is equipped with an in-cabin technical vision system that analyzes the filling of the cabin and the correct placement of passengers. This allows you to remotely check and monitor the safety of passengers.

Now specialists of the Moscow Poly are developing a technical vision system that allows you to move around the territory, analyzing only visual information, without using the global positioning system.

Almaz-Antey unveils unmanned modular electric platform. 

At the seventh International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" Almaz-Antey Concern is demonstrating a full-scale model of a new unmanned modular electric platform for the first time.

According to the Almaz-Antey Concern, the presented modular electric platform for autonomous vehicles is "100 % domestic product" with localization of production at the Concern's enterprises up to 74 %. The equipment was created by JSC "North-West regional Center of the "Almaz-Antey" Concern - Obukhov Plant" (St. Petersburg).

Today, various options for using the modular platform are being considered: from "unmanned logistics corridors" and backup power supply systems to autonomous terrain monitoring, border and perimeter protection.

"When we started working on this project as part of diversification, we were guided by global trends in the development of environmentally friendly transport and the transition to advanced production technologies" – Jan Novikov, General Director of Almaz-Antey, said –
"Economic calculations have shown that our modular electric platform can be used to produce various vehicles for a wide range of purposes."

Being the basis of the model range of electric vehicles, the universal self-propelled electric platform is created on the modular principle. The developers plan to use it for building vehicles with different types of bodies, different dimensions and load capacities (up to 700 kg) using batteries with a capacity of up to 90 kW/h, as well as the possibility of installing electric motors on each wheel axle. At the same time, the platform configuration also allows the use of combined power plants, for example, a gas-electric layout, which makes it possible to significantly increase the power reserve.

The platform is equipped with a separate electric all-wheel drive system with the possibility of installing electric motors with a total power of up to 320 kW, has a low center of gravity and almost 50-50 load distribution on the axles. The temperature control system guarantees battery operation in the temperature range from -25 °C to 35 °C.

Electric car "ERA" presented at the forum "Army-2021".

The Era Military Innovation Technopolis presented at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum a unique operating model of electric transport developed for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation — the ERA electric car.

The electric vehicle has a wide range of capabilities, and can be used for conducting exploration, transporting supplies or medicines. Similar exhibits abroad are under development, and the ERA electric car presented at the forum is a unique innovative operating model.

The development has Russian analogues, but unlike them, the Technopolis electric car has a number of advantages: additional special equipment is installed on the model (an electric suspension, a winch, a platform for an unmanned aerial vehicle, searchlights, a solar battery, an anti-splinter blanket). It is silent and stealthily overcomes considerable distances, moves without problems on rough terrain and off-road, the upgraded braking system reduces the braking distance, and the settings for returning engine energy (engine recovery) allow you to increase the driving range.

Thus, the relevance of the development lies in its simplicity, low cost of production, ease of maintenance, further operation and modernization.

During the Slavic Brotherhood exercise, the ERA electric vehicle confirmed, and in some respects exceeded, the expected result. The car is also tested on sand dunes in difficult road and weather conditions.

Sarmat-2 ultralight vehicle for special forces presented at the Army-2021 forum. 

Maneuverable vehicle LSTS-1943 "Sarmat-2" with the engine "VAZ " was shown at the international forum "Army-2021".

The presented model has improved technical and operational characteristics, has high cross-country ability and maneuverability. At the same time, the car has a fairly inexpensive and easy-to-repair design.

The car weighs only 2.5 tons. At the same time, the load capacity is about 600 kg. The model is equipped with a VAZ-2123 engine with a capacity of 105 horsepower.

The car has a 4x4 wheel formula and a chassis based on axles with spring suspension. "Sarmat-2" can reach speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour.

The cabin can accommodate up to four people at a time, including the driver. Special safety arcs are installed on the body, which can be attached to various types of small arms, including large-caliber machine guns.
