Export contracts worth more than $2 billion were agreed at the Army-2021 forum.
As the TASS news agency reported on August 25, 2021, Russia signed contracts with China, India, Uzbekistan and a number of other countries at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum. This was announced by Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), during Army 2021.
"The final result is as follows: Army has agreed on contracts worth more than $ 2 billion, including contracts with China on maritime issues, with India on land issues, as well as with Armenia, Uzbekistan, Myanmar, and Belarus" – Shugaev said.
Earlier, Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation), said that "Rosoboronexport plans to hold more than 70 negotiations with our foreign partners for the Army-2021. As a result of some of them, we plan to sign more than 10 contract documents."

That is interesting... always wondered why such sensor masts were not more common... with the right cameras inside it could give you an amazing view of the area around your tank with a couple of cameras pointing down, while in the middle and top you can have longer range cameras for looking over cover... from an enemy perspective you see a mast come up... it might be a portable mount with a few guys sitting under it in a Tigr light vehicle or it could be a tank... so what to you fire through those bushes or through that small building... you are going to get their attention but are you going to kill it or piss it off?

Wow that is a solid bit of metal... looks about 50mm which is about what western 40mm grenades manage in penetration so that would be fairly normal.
Having a grenade launcher that can punch through the armour of any MRAP or light armoured vehicle just makes such grenade launchers that much more useful.
I have said it before... a 40mm grenade launcher with laser command detonated grenades like the 30mm rounds would be amazing for shooting at drones and enemy troop positions and soft targets... This round just makes them better.
(note for those not familiar... this is the new 40mm grenade for the Balkan AGL with the same sort of caseless ammo as their under barrel 40mm grenade launchers... compared with their 30mm weapons... better range (2.5km) and bigger bomb).

Their command tanks normally have two large whip aerials, but I supose they might not always have them fitted... their new tanks are getting next generation and much more capable communications and electronics so they might not need the extra aerials.

Just joking...I do think this tank is probably designed to operate within recce units.
There were female tanks in WWI. They only had MGs.
This mast could be a cheap substitution for the planned teathered drone of the T-14.
