Russian special military operation in Ukraine #3

I can't believe Russia is again going for negotiations.

Kiev is using the negotiation option only as a way to buy time. They say we're going to negotiate, Russia winds down operation, Ukraine prepares new positions and calls negotiations off.

This is starting to look quite bad.

NATO will not sacrifice itself over Ukraine - they just want these two countries to tear each other apart. AND stop pushing for nuclear war. It's not going to happen either. Even left over Neo-cons can't do much with the ashes that will remain. The current Russian strategy is working great but Zelensky needs to talk pretty soon otherwise things will change drastically in Kiev.

You are right about NATO not sacrificing itself over Ukraine but the threat of nuclear war in this event cannot be ruled out.

As for the clown, he under US control. He cannot negotiate, even if he wanted to.

Someone from the Ukrainian military will take over with Russian assistance and the pro Russian party will take over. And the clown will go to the west and the west will say that it is a government in exile(this is just my opinion.)

He just ordered Russian forces to go to a higher alert level (but not the highest one). And he didnt mention the RVSN (nuclear deterrent), just 'deterrence measures'

Personally all this talk about nukes, nuclear war blah blah is nonsense. There will be no nukes flying back and fourth, there will be no nuclear war, there won't be invasions of Belarus, Kaliningrad, or the Baltic's. NATO, USA and UK won't go to nuclear war over Ukraine. And EU countries would never allow nuclear war especially on their doorstep on within their own country. They never actually cared about Ukraine or Ukrainians just lied to them, fed them the promise of protection, NATO membership and EU membership it was all LIES, they did this to push Russia, USA wanted a reason to slap sanctions on Russia so the EU would sanction NS2, USA are butt hurt about the project. Ukraine was duped plain and simple. So let's stop clogging this thread with nuclear nonsense and invasions of countries that will never happen. This isn't a command and conquer PC game your playing.

I don't think that there will be one either but it sends a message to the western neo cons and hot heads.

It has to more to do with western countries saying that they are sending weapons to Ukraine.

Well it seem Russia has increased its forczs and will start blowing up everything. I think its a deterance for what's coming.

Nato is flying awacs far away from Russia and aren't moving that much stuff. They aren't a danger at all right now from what I see.

A message from the Russian Ministry of Defense about the use of white phosphorus in the Gostomel region is circulating on telegram channels . Yesterday this information came from our sources in Gostomel, but we were waiting for additional confirmation. The words of the defense department are confirmed by a published image from the Sentinel-2 satellite, where fires with characteristic white smoke are blazing around the Antonov airport in Gostomel.

It is very likely that the ukrovermacht is in such a desperate situation that it considers it possible to use ammunition prohibited by all conventions.

Just yesterday I would have brushed aside the Ukrainian claims of 3500 Russian KIA as "Baghdad Bob" style propaganda. But seeing all the footage of ambushed units, I think that might actually be a realistic number.

It appears the Russian military might be politically handicapped by trying to win hearts and minds, instead of trying to win the war.

As a Russophile, it is heartbreaking to see all those Russian KIA and POWs (and I firmly a lot of those were realisticly preventable). A lot of it doesnt appear to be cases of Russian units engaging the enemy, and emerging victorious but having taken casualties (which is to be expected in war). Rather it seems that sometimes entire companies are being wiped out (judging by the number of vehicle husks in the ambush footage).

Also extremely strange to see Tigrs and MT-LBs being used in large numbers as infantry carriers, as opposed to BMPs and BTRs.

And before you judge me too harshly, the Russian infowar is pathetic, for anyone thats not a Russian speaker. I'm a Russophile, which is already a minority group in many places around the world (and an increasingly repressed one at that). It's not helped one bit, by Russia's piss-poor propaganda efforts. And don't try to tell me that all those videos are fake.

While I do believe Russia is advancing and has the initiative, I also believe the campaign could have been conducted with much, much fewer Russian casualties.

So sanctions will be canceled now? Ukraine will give up? What's the point of so-called DEFCON, can someone please explain as I don't really understand these pecularities? Why there's a need for it now?

DEFCON is a nuclear alert level, the lower we go, the higher the probability of war

Command planes go up, and launch on warning protocols go active near DEFCON 2

Ok, I should have expressed myself differently. This has been a hard day for me.

By raising the readiness level of nuclear deterrence force Russia wants to use this in negotiations, I am right?

How will it affect the whole of this situation, wouldn't it just escalate it further? Where does it end?

Nothing will be canceled.
It will not give up, have some respect for them.
Statement is directed at external parties of the conflict - that after first shock started getting ideas of military aid and possible limited intervention in westernmost part. Statement for them to stay the **** off, sanction and watch.
