This is to be expected tho as They're so close to Kherson. The thing now is how Russians will defend it. Fall of Kherson and we will see even bigger Bucha shitshow.

What other reaction can you have watching this buffoonery?
Everything was downplayed , but what more can we sweep under the rug?
Its better to admit what a disaster this has been
But the epic reinforcement of incompetence only leads from one catastrophe to the next
Do you live in the country that has lost more than 20 million lives in WW2 ? WHAT WOULD THEY THINK OF YOU ? Russia is alone against the West, alone, and you should be proud. Nothing is over, nothing.
Don't worry dude, we know it's not over. It's not about victory for the sake of victory, pride and so on. It's about a clique of war-criminals in Kiev and NATO trying to use the opportunity to destroy us - so the war will be fought, there is no backing down.
I'm just simply amazed at everything though. Everything about this operation. Right from how it started, even the bullshit Putin used to justify it
Putin and his people have done nothing his whole reign but miscalculate on the Ukraine and that's continuing now.
It's beyond miscalculation, it's criminality
We know it's a war of destruction, since before 2014
And it's being fought like some kind of joke
They themselves pumped Russia with this line, that the west was coming for us
Arkanghelsk wrote: We need to do something about this leadership, but I doubt we can

Exactly. It's a slow-motion train-wreck.
Yeah I can accept that it's war and we suffer casualties. But the flagship of the BSF? Goddd-daaamn
And we can't do anything about the leadership. It's wartime. It's just frustrating.
Minimizing civilian casualties is the right move and increasing them won't change anything. But we really should be doing a better job at self-defense, and taking out whatever missile systems the Ukrainians have. Because they're still firing Tochkas to this day. Do they have underground tunnels for them?

There won't a fall of Kherson. They don't have the reserves for any kind of offensive anywhere

**** if I know , and how can you increase self defense without being proactive?
But this is what you get
The last straw will be Donetsk offensive
If the leadership drops this one, it's basically over for the war in Ukraine
And what happens in Russia after that, will be consequential for the whole world
Assholes better stop treating this like a joke
They have enough passes with the inept shit we have seen thus far

But these missile strikes are a bummer.
That's a good to hear. Maybe Russia should move some more Buk's and maybe even S-300/400's as what they did In Lugansk recently. That can provide more decent protection against Tochkas.

As I can see two members.
I am unsure how, honestly, people expected no losses?
Anyway, the pics and video provided by moskva were fake. We need to wait to see what is actually happening.

We will see Moskva being trawled back to the port and it will be clear what damage it sustained. It could as well be a mine. I wouldn't trust a thing from Ukrainian side yet.
Thank you. If anyone can, spread the word, because I see it being referenced everywhere and that's annoying.
Took me 5 mins to find the source, quite honestly. I just thought it looked odd with the obvious tankers/cargo ship silhouettes, and the strange split second switch from a brighter blueish gray into NV green.
So I googled "tanker on fire" and found a suspiciuously similar still image, but with the smoke moving in the wrong direction. Well, once I dug up the video that the still was from, whaddya know, image flipping. So cheap.

No, you let your guard down and took a good straight to the face - doesn't mean you lose your composure and exhaust all your energy with a bunch of wild swings and charges.
Put your guard back up, and learn the lesson, quickly, and counter-attack when the opportunity arises.
Either case, the crew is safe. If the ship is gone, too bad, was a fine ship. What matters is the crew. The Russians have plenty other ships and may not be as big and power as Moskva, they are still more modern.
Anyway, the war will continue. UK didn't stop after losing some vessels during Flaklands war. It is expected for these kind of things to happen. There isn't such a thing as guard up or down, because these events can happen regardless how prepared or not. What matters I how one deals with it and moves on in the end.

Well, when we finally know what actually happened, assess the situation then.
It is a bit of a tradition with at least one big humiliating loss though. UA suffered quite a few already, with nearly 2000 servicemen just yesterday even.
What I don't understand is what the ship was doing there in the first place though. Just chilling? Because its main armament is useless here.
Moskva - taken out by 404 or sabotage or ineptitude
This sums up the whole story
What depressing news
Well when you look at what happened to the USS bonhomme and several other NATO vessels, its a cost. This is a 50 year old ship. But the fact it carries the name of the capital city makes it a bigger blow then it is. Also Russia cannot really replace these ships any time soon.
In June 1941, the destroyer Moskva struck a mine off Constanza, Romania (so not particularly far from the current location) and sunk after its torpedo/depth charge magazines detonated.
I'm curious tho on the RIA and TASS's source as i can't seem to find the statement by th RU-MOD. I browsed Russian Mod official telegram channel and no statement, i cant access the website as it seems it blocks my IP's.

My guess is it was providing long distance air cover to the fleet off the coast near Odessa.
Regular wrote:Do we know what were the ships escorting Moskva? Ukrainians reported managing to hit it with two R-360 "Neptun" cruise missiles. We should see damage if it doesn't sink.
If Ukrainians did manage to somehow hit this ship then Russia doesn't deserve to have this ship anyway
Ship getting bit by some Ukrainians is a fuckin disgrace of the highest order
Still if it had to happen this is actually best possible time for it, cauldron operation is about to kick off and Russia needs a reminder about the consequences of pussyfooting
Hopefully crew is okay and this should serve as a lesson about dangers of slacking off when they get assigned to their next ships
