Who thus far was claimed dead but found alive?
Out of the 9-10 generals that Ukrainian sources (widely relayed by "brOSINTers" and some western media and officials) claimed to have been killed in action, all but two casually came back from the dead just a wee bit later.
Out of the two that actually did die, one was entirely unrelated to the conflict, and one died while overseeing the evacuation of civilians from a residential area of Donetsk city under Ukrainian shelling.
As far as I recall, anyway. Sure someone kept closer tabs on it and can fill you in.

Wouldn't bet on it just yet, these rumors are typically 50/50 in hindsight.

If they announce it, bet the systems are already in place and Russians are waiting for it to be set up.
I like how the west does osint for Russia as is.

Gerasimov was supposedly killed in Kharkov per brOSINTipedia.
In other stories it was Rezantsev, Frolov, Simonov and Kolesnikov...

This is irrelevant.
This whole line of bullshit stories is being served to the European public on daily basis, with huge titles.
For example, we could read that it is the mighty US intelligence that provides the Ukrs exact locations of Russian higher command, and they just slaughter them.
Not a single one of unfortunately resurrected ones was denied as dead by the shitstream, so Europeans do believe that the Russian chain of command is being decimated.
This bullshit is being produced to pump the morale and make the Europeans believe that they are paying 2 euros for a liter of gas for a reason.
If one can seriously claim that Azovcstal was "evacuated" in a "special operation", and later on that Russians "betrayed the deal" means that one can lie about everything. And this is what they are doing.
It will be a very, very drastic awakening.

Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk oblast have huge mineral deposits. Most of the titanium mined for Russian meeds comes from Dnepropetrovsk oblast, among other things. Not to mention MotorSich, Yuzhnoye, Zorya Mashprojekt, etc.Backman wrote:

If they do this fast it will mean insufficient number of Ukrops killed
You are suggesting winning the war and losing the peace (and ensuing insurgency)
Go slow, kill them all and Odessa will be reached in due time
This war can only have two outcomes: Russia on Polish border or Russia ceasing to exist, no middle ground anymore
So best to do it right
I agree. They just better keep a keen eye on Odessa. Its the only real asset left.
Anyway Im glad to see the board has settled in a bit. Early in the war there was sure a lot of arrogant brOSINTards around.

TBH these Ukrainian businesses that used to supply Russia with certain machinery (which apart from Sich all were Russian to begin with IIRC, and moved to UA as Soviet post-war strategic relocations) have for 8ish years been replaced by Russian ditto, and aren't hugely important anymore.
The mining operations (and other raw products) are another story. Big chunk of raw titanium ore that Russia has refined and processed has come from Ukraine indeed.

Actually if they expressed objections to nazi and CIA they would have been killed. Best option was to wait for the war and surrender to russians.
Most of ukrainian regular troops were untrined and not really motivated, that's why they created nazi Azov and other groups full of motivated extremists.

GB on TG: With respect for Belogorovka, as far as I can tell, as of yesterday (likely earlier), DNR claims firm control over the settlement and the entire area on the West Bank of Seversky Donets and north of Kirovsk (Zarechnoye).

EDIT: checked the map and there are two Belogorovka's. In Donetsk on the road to Lyman and another across the river in Luhansk so disregard the river crossing confirmation.

Rather than being trained for a big war with Russia you don't believe in the necessity in
I understand a lot of those people just chose the military for the money though, or the stability of a career

TASS; Military operation in Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry warned about the provocation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Lisichansk chemical plant
The Ukrainian military mined containers with dangerous substances, and employees of the plant and local residents are forcibly kept in underground structures, Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, said.
MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. The Armed Forces of Ukraine placed cannon artillery and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in the building and hangars of the Lisichansk Rare Gas Plant, where containers with chemically hazardous substances were mined. This was stated on Monday by the head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.
"In Lisichansk, Lugansk People's Republic, in the building and hangars of a rare gas plant, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine placed cannon artillery and MLRS, mined containers with chemically hazardous substances, and employees of the plant and local residents are forcibly kept in underground structures," said Mizintsev, who heads the interdepartmental coordination headquarters RF for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine.
He emphasized that at the same time, the nationalists systematically fired at the positions of the RF Armed Forces and LPR formations from MLRS, thereby provoking them to retaliate in order to further accuse them of killing civilians and creating a man-made disaster in the city.
Mizintsev also informed that in the city of Horske of the Lugansk People's Republic, on the lower and upper floors of apartment buildings along Gagarin Street, Ukrainian nationalists equipped firing positions and ammunition depots. Local residents are prohibited from leaving their apartments, and all attempts by citizens to evacuate to safe areas are severely suppressed.

TASS: Military operation in Ukraine

Crews with "Giacint-S" of the RF Armed Forces destroyed a unit of M-777 howitzers from the USA in Ukraine
According to the Ministry of Defense, the crews of self-propelled guns carry out fire missions to destroy enemy strongholds, fortifications, equipment and manpower.
MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry has published footage of the combat work of the crews of 152-millimeter self-propelled guns "Giacint-S", in particular, the defeat of the Ukrainian unit of 155-mm howitzers M-777 made in the United States. This was reported on Monday in the military department.
"In the course of carrying out the tasks of counter-battery combat, the Giacint-S battery destroyed a unit of 155-millimeter towed howitzers M-777 made in the United States," the report says.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in the course of a special military operation, crews of self-propelled guns carry out fire missions to destroy strongholds, fortifications, equipment and manpower of the enemy, and also successfully suppress the firing positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during counter-battery combat. After each fire raid and in case of detection of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, the firing position is immediately changed.
