sigh...
They got signed agreements from Kiev regarding not abusing the agreement for military or terrorist use, which means they have them by the balls if they try anything... or should I say when they try something.
This is about Russia getting western sanctions regarding food and fertiliser exports lifted.
Had Russia any balls to use nukes, they would have done that on February 24 and ended the war on February 25.
Why do you confuse being a psycho with having balls?
Russia using nukes against what?
How many million Ukrainians would they murder with nukes to make you happy?
How would that move the nazis that occupied the Donbass?
Nuke the Donbass?
The distance from the borders of this test site to the place where the missile fell in the Baiganinsky district of the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan is 627 km, and the actual launch distance, apparently, confidently exceeded 650 km, if not more - which, apparently, is the actual maximum range of ballistic missiles of the Iskander complex -M", de facto exceeding the officially declared range of 500 km. .
That is ballistic range... firing at targets at that distance it could no longer manouver... the rocket fuel would all be burned up and so it would be incredibly inaccurate because its external fins are fixed... it would fall like a rock and land on whatever was in its way... it could also be shot down because it could no longer manouver out of the way.
Its declared range is 480 kms because at greater distances it is uselessly inaccurate.
You think they will respect a "written guarantee " not to attack the base?
When they break their agreement then Russia can destroy anything they want... the port at Odessa, any grain storage, start to target tractors and diesel fuel stores for their farming community, or Zelensky himself... for not being trustworthy enough to make deals with... Kiev would need a new leader if the current leader can't be trusted.
And with a speed in a range of 4km/s it can be intercepted by the S-300W, by the way.
Kinzhal is closer to 3km/s and only the latest models of S-400 can hit targets moving at 4.8km/s... S-300P was rated to hit targets moving at up to 1.2km/s and S-300PMU1 was about 2.8km/s but that was ballistic targets that are falling at a predictable rate, not an actively manouvering missile trying to evade interception.
I don't know what Erdogan offered or threatened to resurrect this grain deal but it is a massive walk-back and a pie in the face.
Key part in bold... Erdogan has nothing to threaten with...
Certainly nothing he could threaten Putin with... can you imagine the threat... turkey will start sanctioning Russia and cut itself off from making billions delivering Russian gas to the EU... or maybe Turkey will invade Syria... oops... already happened... or Turkey will attack Russian troops the way the US and EU are afraid to... doubt it...
They obviously promised something Russia wanted.
So you can cry and pretend Putin is a pussy, but he wont care.
Saying they use the grain deal for those attacks is dumb since the grain deal just allows the exit of ships from Odessa to Turkey.
There is no link between those attacks from Odessa and the grain deal.
To be fair they recovered the electronic components of the sea drones and the aerial drones which records their GPS coordinate history and they found some of the air drones were launched from inside the safe corridor for grain ships from the ships themselves... and it is believed that some of the ships likely smuggled the HE disguised as rolls of material used to attack the Crimean bridge, so yes it is a problem... but now they have written agreements and guarantees, so this will be fun.
I would assume he also got something he was wanting... otherwise why else would he fold... he is holding all the cards.
It's a war. Ukraine has the right to use those weapons.
Using a humanitarian corridor to transport weapons and ammo is a war crime... like using red cross symbols on a tank or an ammo truck so the enemy don't fire on it.
So I'm really wondering what Erdogan said that was so convincing here. Else why is Putin doing him such massive favours?
And it surely is a massive favour as it aids an adversarial, enemy even bloc of nations in their food security, while enabling further risks to Russian civilian and military infrastructure.
Related to the Armenia-Azeri negotiations perhaps?
I suspect Putin had a list of things and Erdogan gave him everything he wanted... if Kiev fucks up then it is on them and he can say he tried...
Blocking Sweden and Finland from entering NATO? At least for a while. Not because Russia cares, just to annoy Washington.
Turkey is already blocking Sweden because they know as soon as they say OK Sweden will say **** you and start supporting terrorists again.
You are not somehow aware that it is over with Russian status as energy supplier to EU. It will cost EU 200 billions to overcome energy crunch and few years but main outcome is already visible basically. Gas storages are record full, prices are falling, huge LNG infrastructure projects are launched and most importantly - gas is now treated as any other fossil fuel and its consumption is to be further suppressed systematically.
You are not getting it... of course the EU will eventually get over the loss of energy from Russia but it now looks down the barrel of never getting cheap energy ever again... they didn't buy Russian gas to help Russia or to be nice, they bought Russian gas because it was cheap and cheap energy is always a good thing for any economy. Now they will buy energy at the price Asia was buying it which is going to hurt because it will never go down to the levels the Russians were offering on 10 year contracts, because US suppliers want top dollar.
It seems like the launchet didn’t damage that m109
The video is too big to view, but I am guessing we see a small lancet drone hit the M109 as viewed from a drone flying overhead?
If that were the case I would think the drone flying overhead would notice if the M109 just continued on its way after the attack and called in more attacks from drones or other platforms to finish the target off... or follow it to where it hides to destroy that hiding place too.
And on the flip side when Ukraine does another attack then Russia
Another aspect is now the Russians have this signed agreement they will be checking very carefully to make sure they don't attack and if they do they will know straight away... so there is that too.
It makes it rather less of a surprise attack.
Need to be logged in to see sensitive content apparently and u can't log in without an account
I watched that video in the link on this forum. Never had a Twitter or Facebook account.
I find Telegram to be way more annoying in this regard. I can't view most of the videos posted without having an
account or installing the app.
Media too big is the main problem I have with Telegram
You do realize that w/o power to water treatment plants, electric stoves & heaters, refrigerators/freezers, and a whole other bunch of things we take for granted - life gets very, very difficult right? Not to mention that most livelihoods/jobs become no longer possible.
A chance for the people to do something if they can be bothered. They learned to hate Russians real easy... lets see how long it takes to remember that nazis are the bad guys.
And you start acting like some sort of "Ru Paul" character using words like "precious" towards me?
What is a Ru Paul?
If anyone is acting "precious" surely it would be the one who can't face disciplining and banning garbage that are hell bent on destroying the forum and its credibility.
The Russian military is showing the world what cowards and weaklings the nazis really are, your complaining that they are allowed to speak is interesting because most of those you seem to identify as pro kiev nazis are not complaining that putin is destroying their country, most seem to be complaining he is being too civilised and nice to the orcs and should be using nukes instead.
There are real nazis like mr_hd, but he is seriously a minority and it is funny to read many of his posts... his most recent one suggests the EU have almost sorted out their energy dependency on Russia... it sounds like Turkey has got pipes leading to the EU so they can replace Russia completely to supply the EUs needs... ahahaha...
Are you honestly telling me that a long quote thread is worse than comments like "Hitler was right" and a complete defence of Nazism... in a thread on the Ukraine operation?
I am honestly saying I am responsible for the behaviour of members but not responsible for their views or political or social outlook.
Should I also ban gays, or black people, or how about fat people, maybe short people, or people with blue eyes?
Anyone can call anyone else a nazi and demand they get banned... can you precisely and accurately describe a nazi?
The term is thrown about easily and regularly and often inaccurately.
Does that mean Russian people (or even partly Russian) should tolerate constant taunts, trolling and abuse from a minority of vermin like this?
Do you think after this conflict is over Britain and the US and the EU will want to be friends again?
Are they going to call you nice things and send you flowers?
Should you care that they hate you? Should you lie awake at night and worry that they don't want to be your friend and say to others that you are genetically disposed to be bad to be evil people like that Crapper guy the CIA head no less once said at a congressional hearing... no reaction to that by the way... if he had said the same thing about black people he would have lost his job but OK to attack Russians in public office in the west.
Taunts of what... that your country is kicking their arse... culturally, spiritually, economically, politically, and militarily... of course they are going to abuse you as their countries go down the toilet.
Ignore the dogs barking... they are no longer in any position to hurt you... except if you let them.
Do you realise what those Nazi vermin actually said about Russians and indeed all Slavs? ("We must use them and then they must all die and their land will become our Lebensraum"). Is this the sort of shit we should have on russiadefence.net in a Ukraine military thread.
This is exactly what should be on here and we can bring it up when they want to reopen their airspace and are wanting Russia to do the same so airfares to Asia will get cheaper, or they want to buy some gas or oil or something else that Russia has...
Ban them all and you start to forget... and that is not something we should be doing... keep thinking about those Ukrainians they burned to death in Odessa...
Do you want a RUssian forum of all places to be flagged up all across the internet as a rallying ground for actual (obviously antiRussian) Nazism?
What are you talking about. Anyone posting pro nazi shit generally gets educated as to why nazis are the problem and not the solution.
It is funny that in the west communism is hated but nazism... not so much...
I do sympathise with your views Limb, but I am not going to ban members on their views... if people want to be stupid or wrong it is not my job to fix them.

100,000 more Ukrainians will be mobilized it seems...They'll always have the numbers edge in this department.
Numbers? Why weren't these guys mobilised before?
100K called up does not = 100K mobilised.
Newer models have infrared or optical homing heads. This allows the drone to stay in a given area to find and destroy the target.
That sounds better... the current model of Iranian drone only hits coordinates and can't really see what it is hitting...
Moreover, both sides are interested in such cooperation: the Russian army improves its combat capabilities, while the Islamic Republic gets an ideal test range to confirm the performance of its missiles and UAVs against Western-made weapons.
The Russians can also provide components that the Iranians would struggle with like GLONASS guidance kits and perhaps datalink and encryption systems as well as optical sensors and engines etc etc.
You have to look at things at a human level when it comes to civilians and ordinary people. Because actually the majority of them will see me as an ordinary person too first and foremost, not as an 'enemy'. Enemies are those who are armed and dangerous and fighting.
This war is going to end when the Ukraine tells their government and their military that they have had enough... running water and electricity and little effect of the war going on in the east of their country for the last 8 years means this conflict could go on forever.
Not suggesting carpet bombing of urban areas, but they have to be made aware there is a war going on and that they are losing.
Imagine old people freezing to deaths in their homes, mothers not being able to get products for their babies, having to queue up hours every day for drinking water. That kind of thing.
It doesn't matter if you're Ukrainian or Croat or Russian or whoever.
Didn't matter to the west if they were Serbs or Cubans or Iranians... maybe those mothers should make it clear to their leaders and politicians that this conflict is not something that can continue and they need to get serious about ending it... or perhaps replace them with someone capable of negotiations... but better hurry... the longer you leave it the worse the options for deals get.
I just want to point this out. People's difficulties are not worth gloating about; not matter whether in the Ukraine, or in America or wherever else.
As Kiev escalates then Russia has to escalate in some way and taking out the power grid means electric trains stop working so diesel becomes even more critical for logistics and supply... it is up to Kiev whether they fuel tanks and helicopters or provide baby food and warmth... it was Kievs decision to have this war by ignoring the Minsk agreements.
Consequences.
But equally it can go on for years more with no difference made other than people becoming more miserable.
If there is no pain for the population it is likely to go on much longer... and the people in the Donbass are also feeling the pain... Kiev never hesitated to cut the power in Crimea and water and all sorts of other shit too.
So how much have you brought?!?
Did you bring the precious?
Latvian army will increase by six people this year
No, this is not a typo. Roughly six people. In 2022, the Latvian army was supposed to increase by 500 people, but something went wrong.
The authorities explain it simply: the people are not the same ...
Because people are self-oriented egoists,” said the head of the Latvian Interior Ministry.
In other words they are not answering their call up papers...
