Actually, Wagner took Popasnaya, when other units couldn't do it. That opened doors for whole breakthrough. It also needs to be mentioned that they helped to stabilize front in front of Lisichansk, at the time 2. Corp of LNR got its ass kicked around Liman and lost a lot of territory east of Seversk. And also they constructed Wagner's defense line. Prigozhin and his units did a lot of heavy lifting in this war and that can't be stated enough.

Your entire story starts from the starting point that there is an invisible wall above the NATO pact, so that only the West will go in the direction of Russia, even though Russian missiles do not need a visa to Europe.
What kind of air superiority are you writing about over the skies of Ukroshitstan when airports across Europe would be on fire if western planes appeared over Ukroshitstan.
According to your logic and your way of writing, it seems to me that you forgot Iskander and Kinzhal, Zircon, 3M14, etc. At least one-third to one-quarter of the Western planes would have been destroyed while still on the ground.
The same applies to the GPS satellite system, because in case of any hasty reaction of the NATO pact, the warfare system will be set back decades because those same satellites will be destroyed. There is not only the side of the coin that you write about.

Some of you start from the point that Russia has played all trumps in this conflict, although I think it is quite the opposite.
I guess it is a consequence of too much reading of the Western press, it is possible that this is the issue.
Some act as if Russia is really Iraq or my Serbia, which has so many inhabitants that it is at the level of a statistical error in terms of the rest of the world's population.

Remember, Media is an weapon as well.
He can say all kinds of things while doing the opposite.
and he clearly does, he has unimpeded access to RF ordnance and factory's.
he fields his own airforce, tanks and artillery.
for all that you have your own war machine run by professionals.
Don't be fooled by smoke and mirrors.

This war moves too fast and there is too much information out there daily to go nit-pick about what words anyone says on social media.
Even what feels for us as "real time" is usually about one day or older when it gets reported/uploaded.

It really does not matter for some here, how many times someone speaks sense and logic.
When Twitter says something that paints Russia as Incompetent. They just take it for Truth.

They say jump and you ask how high. Without even realizing who's giving you your pointers.

Surovikin was introduced to the public as a would-be saviour and hero, and so is accepted as such. While it has become fashionable to bash Shoigu, Gerasimov and these other personalities that have been staying out of the spotlight.

Prigozhin is busy saving Russia from disaster in the Donbass while Apti Aluidinov is saving him from supply sabotage by handing over 100 tank rounds

I would ask who these fairy tales are even meant for, but it's plain and easy to see right on this forum.

Without taking anything away from Prigozhin and Wagner and their very real local successes in Soledar and other outlying suburbs of Bakhmut; I have no doubt that as usual, the most significant and far-reaching results in this war are achieved by those units, and those branches of forces that are talked about far less and who talk far less, but who just soberly get on with their duties.

As for what purpose these stories are constantly being spun, and how real these tensions between Prigozhin and the MoD really are - I'm not even interested in speculating on. It's not that important.

I believe that what we see might lead to some sort of prequel to more serious power struggle that will ensue after war ends. As it is customary after every big event. I wouldn't discount some of the bickering as maskirovka, but certainly not all of it. Not even most of it.
This war laid bare many people from all walks of life. And that process isn't over.
As for bureaucrats in all structures, I don't have to tell you that for mediocre ones, their ultimate goal is to survive unscathed in regards to their position and benefits. After turbulent '90s Putin offered Russians stability, as it was much needed. That period is now over and as with every turmoil, new people will try to get into forefront.
Especially, if Putin leaves the top spot, as I think he might do, in relatively short time.

Well it was real and it made it to CNN. It starts a 1:20 in. But before that, they talk about how Russia is kidnapping children and sending them to camps!
