They were lobbing rockets as they were maintaining low altitude in flight to avoid Ukrainian AD.
For this same reason you can't effectively use most of the precision guided missiles. Their ranges also depend on the altitude of launch.
You can sneak up to the enemy with dumb bombs and put them on target relatively accurately, and so they were doing that too

Now that Ukrainian AD has been reduced, they can afford to take more risks and fly higher, enabling the use of glide bombs and more types of air to ground missiles, but maintaining their distance from the targets

The next step would be to attain such air suprecmacy, where they will be confident to conduct bombing runs with GLONASS guided munitions from high altitudes, and dumb bombs corrected by targetting computers from medium alttidues. Using Tu-22M3s and Su-24s, Su-34s at max loadouts. Where they will really be able to put a lot of explosives on target and for cheaply. But that will require the remainder of the Ukraine's S-300s and Buks to be taken out first, and anything NATO sends too.

What are you on about? PMC = light infantry.

Wagner has several advantages. It's more flexible compared to the regular military, having less of a hierarchy, and it has units organized and experienced in urban combat

Is Wagner the -Only- Russian forces in Bakhmut region ? It's eerily similar to Kadyrov's PR moves that seem to lead media to believe He's the vanguard of the assault.

For me it's like psy-ops and Wagner will simply move elsewhere.

Russians are at war with the land army they have at least, while the West has reduced all its power to a very vulnerable aviation.

This will be done throughout the European territory.
The Russians said a long time ago that they would attack the "decision-making centers". THAT'S EXACTLY BEING POSTPONED.

He's giving the game away. You don't use elite assault troops to defend your gains, you use regulars backed by copious armor, artillery and airpower. This is just a regular rotation to enable Wagner to rest and refit for the next urban conglomeration but Progozhin's acting like a teenage girl over it for some reason.
