Just a post for those that find their posts have disappeared.
Sometimes posts that are in the wrong place or perhaps are objectionable will be moved to a more suitable place in the forum.
Generally when this happens information will be given in regard to where it was moved to and why, but not always.
If you post something and it appears to post properly but later disappears if you look for a message you have posted in a thread and click on the drop down box for your username, you will see at the bottom, the option to "see all posts".or you could just go to the "Welcome [username]" at the top of the screen and click on "my posts".
If you click on this it will open a page for that member that shows just their posts on this forum, which you can scroll back through to find the missing post no matter where it has been moved to. If you find the post you can click on the subject in the header to go to the thread the post is now located in and continue posting there.
If your post gets moved to a different thread you can PM a mod to find out why if it is not obvious, but please do not continue discussing off topic stuff in the thread your post was moved out of. Find out why it was moved and if you don't agree then have a chat to the mod that moved it via PM to discuss why you think it was in the right place.
If we agree we may move it back, but most of the time when we move it it is off topic for that thread so continue the discussion elsewhere.
Sometimes off topic threads might get moved to the talking bollocks threads which is a general hold all thread for off topic topics, if you have a more suitable thread for the posts to go the mod might be Ā persuaded to shift them there.
Threats and abuse will never work in such situations...
Note the see all posts option works for all users so you can find posts from any user doing this, it does not just have to be your own, so if you lose posts where you know someone was discussing something you want to find again you can look up their previous posts too.
