I would say send in some Houthis... and equip them with some of the stuff they have been using... an R-73 AAM on a booster rocket to get it airborne and flying fast and an IRST ball with presumably the helmet mounted sight used in MiG-29s and Su-27s would be all they needed to lock on to Rafales flying into Niger to attack targets...

Put the missiles in 6 or 7 places around the operator about 50m away in big boxes with one missile in each box, so each box can be hidden amongst other boxes and after it launches there are no other missiles there so the super accurate western system can destroy the point the last missile launched from because there was only one missile there. Fire the last missile and then have most of the system in a truck which you can then drive away to park somewhere else with missiles already positioned around where your truck parks... hook them all up and then start looking for targets to fire at. The wide angle field of view for the missile is a bonus... a very high energy fast burning rocket booster to get it airborne would be best enabling the missile to start its own rocket which has thrust vectoring to enable very hard turns after the solid rocket booster is jettisoned.

Perhaps that and a Bastion system with a Yakhont near the beach to say hello to any Western ships who want to get close to shore.

(Normally when I suggest such crazy stuff I know Russia wouldn't do it because that would provoke the west to do something similar... but essentially the west already is doing something similar so why not...)

We are witnessing the second wave of the liberation of African countries from French colonialism.

Due to the continued control of Paris, the former French colonies today remain the poorest countries in the world. France continues to pump out resources, interferes with the construction of its own policy, and provokes constant chaos and civil wars.

Until recently, France controlled the entire economy of the former colonies and appointed governments. And if someone did not agree, they either sent troops directly or provoked a coup d'etat. And the result is very deplorable.

The currency of the former colonies is still emitted by France. West African and Central African francs, the so-called CFA francs, still circulate in 14 states.

The peoples of the former French colonies are only at the beginning of the path to gaining true independence.

Below is is a strategically important map.

    @Megatron_ron
    Africa is preparing for war

After the coup d'état in Niger and the removal of the French puppet from the presidential position, the West African organization ECOWAS, which is under the full control of the United States and France, announced that it would attack Niger.

Yesterday, Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea jointly declared that the attack on Niger is an attack on all of them and that they will intervene militarily.

But the most interesting part is Algeria's statement that it will also intervene militarily if Niger is attacked.  Today the Chief of Staff of the Algerian Army arrived in Moscow for a meeting with Shoigu.  Algeria is likely to receive heavy weapons from Russia and Iran through its ports.

The USA and France have confirmed that they support military intervention by ECOWAS, de facto confirming that they are creating a new war in the world like in Syria and Ukraine.

The same scheme worked for them when they destroyed Libya, but today Niger has powerful support

US Defense Department officials said the putschists in Niger have suspended all military flights from Air Base 201, located near the city of Agadez in central Niger.

AFB 201 is a major U.S. 409th Expeditionary Air Force drone base costing over $100 million and considered the largest construction project ever undertaken by the U.S. Air Force.

Flights of MQ-9 Reaper drones for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) began at the base in 2019. Now, according to some sources, there may be up to 2,000 NATO soldiers at the base, most of whom are Americans.

🇳🇪🇺🇸 Today, the West imposed sanctions against Niger, banning flights, imports, exports, humanitarian aid, and money transactions in order to punish Nigeriens for their refusal to supply uranium and gold to Europe.

But until recently, the US authorities accused Russia of genocide of the population of Africa and the whole world because of the ban on the export of grain from Ukraine.

    What a double standard.

    Well this is hilarious.
No way out of this one, if the West commits, less weapons for Ukraine and the pacific.
And if they dont, they lose bases and major african resources.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Not sure if their intelligence agencies can do much at the moment.
Africa seems to had enough of the Wests BS.
I believe Algeria will be the deciding factor here.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has warned against Western military involvement in Niger, which is now under the control of a junta following a coup last week.

“I think we must put pressure on democracy to be restored, but any Western military initiative should be excluded because it would be seen as a new colonization,” Tajani told Rai News on Wednesday.

According to a France 24 journalist, a delegation of the new government of Niger, led by General Salifu Modi, arrived in the capital of Mali to ask for the deployment of the Wagner PMC in the capital of Niger . ㅤ

Modi is one of the officers involved in the coup and first deputy military leader Omar Chiani, who played a key role in the coup by arresting President Mohamed Bazum. ㅤ

🇳🇪🇺🇸 Pentagon Keeps Troops in Niger

On Tuesday, the Pentagon announced the suspension of security cooperation with Niger due to the ongoing political unrest in the West African nation. However, it clarified that U.S. troops are not being evacuated, and some of them are still maintaining engagement with members of the country's military.

Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon's top spokesman, assured reporters that there is no imminent threat against any U.S. personnel or American citizens in Niger.

Chad has chimed in too? That opens the door to the Central African Republic as well. Although they have their own problems, a little diplomatic support will be nice. Wagner has a base there already after all What a Face

But why would Libya get involved? I presume Haftar? Wasn't he trying to build ties with the West and France specifically as well?

Algeria's General of the Army Said Chenegriha was in Moscow today meeting with Russian Defense ministry Sergei Shogu. Algeria and Russia have had a an agreement to enhance security and stability in Africa since 2021.

Now ECOWAS is threatening war with US & French backing

This is a huge deal because of the timing but Said Chenegriha is no slouch and fought in the 6 Day War of 1967 and the Yom Kippur war of 1963. He also went to a military academy in Moscow.

Details of the meeting have not been announced but what's happening in Africa right now has potential to be the one of the biggest anti-colonial armed struggles in decades.

Algeria has the ability to join a military alliance with Burkina Faso, Mali, Guinea, and possibly bring other countries like Chad into the loop, whose interim President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno recently nationalized Exxon.

According to Christoforou France is preparing airstrikes.
Germany is OK with it. Which is weird. They Scholz regime
is against nuclear energy but support France to keep the Uranium
imports going, propably the dirtiest part of the whole nuclear
    energy sector.

    A typical Scholz.

I saw him interviewed on a US network and he knows nothing...

If the coup was Russia's idea, then it miscalculated.

Kiev immediately started to blame Russia for this coup and went on about how they are trying to distract from the real threat to world peace and world democracy and western values that is the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Then the US said they had no information that Russia was involved...  Smile

African countries themselves have to carry this crusade.

They do, but they don't have to do it alone... BRICS can help replace the west in a way that is not colonial and actually helps Africa develop and grow and prosper.

The mineral wealth of Africa is enormous but western companies just go in and steal and get away with it by paying off one or two politicians or political parties with a fraction of the money the stuff they are stealing is worth.

That is why using Wagner was a brilliant idea. No formal connections with the Russian government, just a hired guns.

Hahaha... the Russian CIA... and both do as they please with no regard to anyone, except Wagner is not a drug cartel that is a law unto itself like the CIA is... otherwise western media would be telling us... they way they don't about the CIA.

In contrast this is how Macron treated the previous President. No wonder attitudes have hardened.

What an arsehole that frog is.

First they pulled the French tail over uranium now the US Very Happy

You have to ask what their objective is?

This is a huge opportunity for Russia too... with Nigeria in some sort of ongoing conflict where French access to uranium is limited or just cut off then Russia cutting supplies to France and the US would be an immensely more powerful blow than if things were just fine in Nigeria and France could crack the whip and increase Nigerian supplies to counter supplies not coming from Russia...

“I think we must put pressure on democracy to be restored, but any Western military initiative should be excluded because it would be seen as a new colonization,” Tajani told Rai News on Wednesday.

And it would be seen as new colonialisation because that is exactly what it would be... western propaganda BS...

    Humanitarian aid. Only.

Like the humanitarian aid the west sent to Kiev...

    Yeah, they might try ...

I wonder how many of those red countries really want to jump ship and not support their white colonial western oppressors... bad form to have the pro democracy countries in green and the anti democracy resource theiving colonials in Red... traditionally it should be red and blue and the colours in this case should be reversed.

Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon's top spokesman, assured reporters that there is no imminent threat against any U.S. personnel or American citizens in Niger.

How long will they remain safe if the Europeans start bombing them?

But why would Libya get involved? I presume Haftar? Wasn't he trying to build ties with the West and France specifically as well?

I would think that BRICS will support Niger and the west will be the enemy... which side offers Libya its best future? Under European colonial thumbs or with BRICS?

🇳🇪 Prigozhin interview about situation in Niger

PMC Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin gave comments regarding the situation in Niger for the African edition of l'Afrique Libre. Here are some excerpts from his interview:

▪Economics is the main reason for the coup and anti-French sentiment in Niger, as the population is in poverty and France exploited their resource abundance.

▪France only gave 5% of all profits from the resources in Niger to the people of the country.

▪The people of Niger, if they controlled the resources themselves, would be rich and happy.

▪The terrorists in Sahel region were created, financed and controlled by the UN, France, UK, USA, EU and other Western countries, as only a huge number of trained troops could control such a large number of "terrorists".

▪The terrorists in Niger are an attempt to cover up France's economic crimes. The population in Niger was kept in fear with the help of militants. To fight the "terrorists" Niger was literally forced to be pumped full of troops from France, the US, etc.

    ▪ Toppled president Bazoum's government allowed France to rampage in Niger. He and other higher officials were just covering up the plundering of the country.

▪Now there is a "liberation struggle for the independence of the country," and "God willing, they will succeed," added the head of PMC Wagner.

Armed security guards shielded the UN headquarters in Goma, which was stormed and pelted with Molotov cocktails during similar protests last year.

"If they don't leave, we will fight until they leave our country because they are not doing anything," said Ephraim Bisimwa, who attended the protests. MONUSCO has more than 17,000 personnel in the Democratic Republic of Congo and has a budget of $1.1 billion for 2023, making it the most expensive "peacekeeping force" in the world.

The UN mission has been in Congo for over two decades and has faced criticism for its involvement in various scandals. Notably, the DRC has been the epicenter of the UN sexual abuse epidemic and reports the highest percentage of victims of sexual violence by UN troops.

No evidence Russia involved in Niger coup – Italian FM

The government in Rome has no evidence of Moscow’s involvement in the military coup in Niamey, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani told the daily La Repubblica on Thursday. The turmoil in Niger took both the US and France by surprise, he also revealed.

“We have no information of Russia's involvement in the Nigerien events, or the preparation of the coup,” Tajani told the outlet when asked whether Moscow was playing some kind of game in the Sahel nation. He dismissed the Nigerien protesters carrying photos of Russian President Vladimir Putin as “more anti-French than anything else.”

“Many, perhaps all in Europe, have been taken by surprise” by the coup, Tajani said. “Nobody knew about it, neither the US nor France.” Both countries have over 1,000 troops in Niger and drone bases for counter-terrorism operations. There are 350 Italian soldiers currently in Niger, and they are keeping to their barracks for now, the foreign minister said.

The Nigerien authorities were also blindsided, Tajani added, noting that the Nigerien PM Uhumudu Mahamadou was in Rome for a UN food summit.

When pressed about the Russian role in the region, he said that the alleged presence of Wagner Group members was “another matter” and that Russia has “infiltrated that region skilfully for years.”
