The Chernigov strike is interesting. The organizers of the event didn't announce the venue until the last minute, and told participants to avoid uniforms etc, not to give it away.
So, chances are an insider tipped the Russians off.

Same thing as the attack on the Belarusian airfield. Subversives flying a quadcopter (or hexa, whatever) drone from nearby.
Lots of them get caught in the act or while planning these things but some slip through.
Russia's issue is that they want to keep society open and normal, so serious preventive security measures like constant vehicular inspections and what not everywhere haven't been implemented. But the FSB is still very active and indeed effective, given the limitations they work with.

The issue I see is that the Russians are too soft on these traitors/Ukro agents. They don't seem to fear being caught by the Russian authorities. Next time, hand them over to Chechens or Donbass civilians to deal with these troublemakers in a way that's appropriate and effective.

Russians aren't like chicoms so stuff like this will inevitably happen. Even when strict protocols are in place. Now add to this inevitable screwups and systemic blind spots in any major institution and stuff will get thru. Even with top of the line air defense as these small drones are scarily successful in bypassing secure installations. I've heard rumors of major secure locations here in the us that have been quite easily breached with drones and it was hushed up.
Frankly drones scare the shit out of me. So does the surveillance to counter drones. So do the people and institutions wielding the ability to use both.

I noticed the same thing.
And compare that to the recent arrest of Girkin/Strelkov. Putin and his government are a bunch of crypto-Ukrainians, I guess not all of them, but many of them are.
This softness towards Ukraine and ethnic Ukrainians has been ongoing for years before even 2014.

Now some are suggesting that the insider leaker may not even be a supporter of Russia, but some enterprising "pro-Ukrainian" seeing an opportunity to kill off some of the high-profile competition for all that precious U.S. and EU cash that keeps flowing in.
Which quite frankly wouldn't surprise me a bit.

This piece would be just fine for our Rambo, if not for the fact that he is too stupid to get a point
So let me open the window.
Chief Comm of Ukro AF is stating as follows :
Su-35 can take them down from 200 km. They are limited to 20-40 only.
Every single Ukro plane that starts, is being shoot by 9 "missiles", both air and ground.
Explaining, nobody shoots 9 missiles at one plane, but the ECM surely can fool them good enough.
And by "200 km/20-40km" we know he is talking effective evasive maneuvers distance, as they still operate Soviet and own breed missiles keen of making 70+ km.
In this case/interpretation, what is the range of Su-35 missiles?
If we compare apple to apples, let's don't answer ...

yes so Russians according to "source" data have 2x dead as Ukrainians do! of course this is because they run out of ammo last year right?

No one actually takes the communist broadcasting channel seriously. But it's cousin news channel, BBC, works with with an Anti Russian group Meduza and they give figures on russian deaths and its only like what, 20K? And that's with them "investigating" grave sites, interviewing people and actually investigating to a degree. Whatever CBC is claiming is a full on pulling numbers from their ass.

The number of Ukrainian and Russian troops killed or wounded since the war in Ukraine began in February 2022 is nearing 500,000, the New York Times reported on Friday, citing unnamed U.S. officials.
so number is provided by unnamed US official, i guess his pals were talking about running out of missiles and about "poor scared recruits with toilettes"running away after only taking a glance of mighty British armor

The 20,000 was in fall of 2022. They seem to have stopped since they were undermining the NATzO propaganda narrative. I think a fair number by now is between 40 and 50 thousand Russian forces losses (including Donbass militias).
The Canadian Bullsh*t Corporation is spreading fantasy fiction as usual.

We should forgive the NATOista cnt nations their pathetic efforts at cope. It must be hard to see your well-laid plans get forceably shoved up yer well-laid arse by Russian military who wouldn't read the script that was prepared for them...
This shit just keeps the fire smoldering, and stiffens Russian resolve. No negotiations (unless its an unconditional surrender by the regime). No "frozen conflict". No path for the-nation-that-was-called-Ukraine to join NATO or the EU. Destroy the Ukrowehrmacht, hang the Nazis, denazify the enemy population like was done to the Germans and Japs post GPW/WW2. Diehards can fck off to the EU garden and apply for social benefits and become prostitites or toilet cleaners.
