Back then it relied on the enemy's overconfidence, same as now.

There are claims about people using education to avoid conscription but it is quite clear to any lucid mind that how much devastation have been befallen onto Ukrainian people.

Draft bill submitted to parliament looks to cancel mobilization exemption for over-30 students
Fedir Venislavsky, President Zelensky's representative in parliament, has submitted a bill that abolishes the exemption from mobilization for students over 30 years old who obtain two or more full-time university diplomas.
“During martial law, both the Constitution and international documents allow the restriction of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen,” Venislavsky said, Ukrainska Pravda reported.
According to him, before Russia's all-out invasion in February 2022, the number of students over the age of 25 studying from 2019 to 2021 in Ukraine reached about 40,000.
In just one year, this number increased to 106,000 students, some of whom allegedly using a loophole in the legislation to avoid mobilization.
“This means that 60,000 men decided to use this opportunity to avoid being drafted into the army,” Venislavsky said.
He also added that if the draft law is adopted, it may apply not only to those who will start their studies in the next academic year, but also to those who started already in 2022 and in 2023.
According to Yegor Chernev, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Ukraine is currently in the second of four stages of mobilization.
If the latter is announced, then all men without exception must be mobilized for the war, but "it depends on how long this war will last and how many resources Russia will use," Chernev said, the New Voice of Ukraine reported on Aug. 17.

Well if true, I hope the launch codes have also been provided. Someone needs to nuke the US mainland like already

F.
And every one of those who used this exemption deserves it. They've had a year and a half to come up with an escape plan. Yet they were entrusting their life with some flimsy exemption that can be flipped with the stroke of a pen. They should be getting an underground group together, get armed up with some weapons, and storm a border post somewhere to escape. But they wont. They will be rounded up like cattle and slaughtered. But at least cattle meat is worth something.

Easier said than done. Such organized activities requires careful plan, organizing skill, manpower and material, and the most important, guts and commitment. Especially under a Maidan dictatorship where Nazi hoodlums, SBU and CIA are everywhere and are protected by those in authority.
The majority of people are neither saints nor devils but "normal" human with both good sides and limitations, I don't expect people can turn into selfless heroes in one or two days.
From my point of view at least it shows that Ukrainian people dislike the Maidan regime and are willing to turn their back against it whenever they have a chance. For example when Russia offers a chance to surrender on the battlefield.

I left everything and moved provinces before. And my life wasn't at stake. Moving to Russia from Ukr is like moving from province to province in Canada.

Cost-effective and fast to apply anti splitter coverage.
But that won't hamper the 5th columnists here to spread their daily shitload

60,000 men let other men be drafted to the front, whereas if they had stood up and resisted the draft together 100,000 might have made a difference, where these guys are now on their own.
Would add that claims that Russia is basing TOPOL-Ms in North Korea would be very funny and a good response to the US and their reportedly sending Abrams tanks with DU APFSDS rounds to Kiev... when the UK sent DU rounds with Challenger IIs Russia sent nuclear warheads to Belarus so America sending DU rounds and MBTs to Kiev would perfectly make sense for sending Russian Nukes to NK that can reach the US... an excellent response if true.

I think draft evasion is just a convenient excuse, the Maidan regime must find either this way or that way to appropriate more human meat to throw into their hopeless gamble.
Every puppet regime of the USA is the same as always. Draft evasion is the natural result, selfish or selfless, no sane person want to waste their life for such a puppet regime.

Ukraine counteroffensive: ‘I’m ready to die . . . 90% of the guys here will die too’
Elite Ukrainian troops tell Anthony Loyd the terrible price they are paying to break through Russian lines during the summer counteroffensive
On Sunday Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskiy, Ukraine’s top general commanding operations in the south of the country, said in an interview with The Observer that he believed the Russians had expended 60 per cent of their resources on their primary defensive position around Robotyne, suggesting that in the limited time before the arrival of the October rains the next phase of the Ukrainian counteroffensive towards the coast of the Sea of Azov, 55 miles to the south, may be smoother than the first. It was an optimistic beat in a day that later included the dismissal of Oleksii Reznikov, Ukraine’s minister of defence, whose ministry had become submerged in a sea of corruption allegations.
Yet the Ukrainian soldiers in the vanguard of this offensive talk of the battle around Robotyne and beyond in different terms, describing levels of doctrinal confusion, attritional warfare and massed casualties that have exhausted the Ukrainian armoured units upon which hopes were first pinned to accelerate the progress of the three-month counteroffensive.
Meanwhile, in the 15 weeks it took the 47th Brigade to advance eight miles to capture Robotyne, medics attached to the brigade say that the unit’s casualties have run into four figures.
So severe has been the fighting that in some instances teams of medics with the 47th had their own numerical strength reduced to 50 per cent because of casualties suffered on missions to collect wounded on the Robotyne front, despite using US-made M-113 armoured personnel carriers to evacuate the wounded.
“When I hear of people sitting on their sofas at home or further afield saying, ‘Oh, the Ukrainian army have got Bradleys and Leopards now, they’ll show the Russians what’s what,’ I clasp my head in my hands,” said Boyets, sounding suddenly exhausted as he stood up to receive his orders for the night’s attack. “And I wish only that they could come here and see the reality of our fight.”

There is something happening indeed, even one of my tenants mysteriously disappeared. Considering what his wife is saying, he is either hiding or left for a country that does not bend to Ukro demands.

It is nothing else rather than western primacy complex striking back.
Yesterday (?) was aired a podcast of Neapolitano with Tony Sheffer. The guy is an ex USArmy colonel infamous for his struggle with DIA, but he has some real experience with both army things and intelligence.
One of his theses left me speechless. The guy claimed, that Ukraine was given with everything it needed to penetrate the Russkie defensive positions.
The conclusion was, that if they can't succeed it is an obvious matter of lack of competence or dogs fighting under the carpet.
This is a level of delusion of a person who actually had something in common with the army things.
Muricans are genetically impregnated from common sense, and that is a case here. Born, bred and living in an environment where propaganda continuously claim everything is better, bigger and even better than better, they are losing the capability to make any sober observations.
