In three days time all the information about this will be 20 pages back amongst two line bulletins posted every three minutes, and interspersed between said posts and almost impossible to find, while information on Houthi attacks will be easier to find.

Of course they are related but this forum is about Russian stuff... imagine everything on the same thread because it is all about Russia.

Essentially you (members) and us (mods) have to decide where to draw a line between posting threads here or there. There are no hard and fast rules and sometimes decisions have to be made that might not be popular.

A decision has been made and I support that decision for the reasons I have stated previously and in this post.

Repeatedly picking at a scab on a wound will make it bleed and does not help the healing process.

The information in this thread comes rapidly... that is the nature of the conflict. Bunching each of the posts into little digests posted less frequently wont change much except result in fewer posts, which is neither here nor there.

The Houties attacking shipping is related to this thread and worth discussing in terms of the implications of one of the few times the west has been subject to a shipping embargo in one of their conflicts, but it is also related to the Yemen thread and is easier to find in the Yemen thread.

Israel murdering an Iranian officer to try to wind up Iran to join the conflict to get more support from the west in general is rather sinister and I would say worth discussing too, but in a few hours most of the posts in regard to the attack are going to be pages downstream and the rapid posting of new posts means they will not be together either.

Do we damn up the river and stop the posts... well the river is what most would come to this thread to see.

George saw a topic that could be expanded to a thread potentially so he ruled it be separated from the river, and some members objected, and that is fine.

Well now some are pointing out another case that might be separated, and you are right... if Iran does something in response to this attack in Syria it might be worth digging out posts from this thread and putting them in another thread so it is easier to discuss and if that happens no doubt George or I will ask that future posts on that subject be directed to the different thread... but until then post them here if you want.

Of course anyone wanting to discuss the topic specifically could post their own thread and ask that the posts in this thread be moved.

With respect to this, it must be taken into account that many times a territory is listed as occupied by Israel, but then it is seen that the Palestinian Resistance continues to operate in those places.
It can be easily verified when there is a territory marked as "Israeli", but we see that videos are spread of Palestinians attacking in those areas.
Another thing that is seen in the videos is that the Israelis in many cases are surprised in confident attitudes, as if they believed they were in safe areas. It would be necessary to analyze why this is due, since it is obvious that the entire area has a presence of guerrillas.
At this point it can be assured that Israel suffers considerable losses in material and men.
This must negatively influence the morale of the Zionist troops.

The israeli army admits to the elimination of 3 officers in the Gaza Strip yesterday:


Sgt. First Class (res.) Asaf Pinhas Tubul, 22, of the 7th Armored Brigade's 77th Battalion

Cpt. (res.) Neriya Zisk, 24, a company commander in the 401st Armored Brigade's 52nd Battalion,

Maj. Dvir David Fima, 32, the deputy commander of the 460th Armored Brigade's 198th Battalion.

Tubul was killed in southern Gaza, in a battle that seriously wounded another officer and soldier of the 77th Battalion.

Fima was killed in central Gaza, in a battle that seriously wounded a soldier of the 7107th Battalion.

Zisk was also killed in central Gaza, in a separate battle.

Channel 12 [Hebrew]: A booby-trapped drone has exploded in the southern Golan Heights a short while ago, causing damage inside a building. It is suspected to have been launched from Syria.
