A direct rocket hit to a house in one of the settlements in the Negev. Rockets were fired from Beit Hanoun (north of Gaza) where the IOF claims to have taken control of.
Material damage as well as at least one settler who’s injured.

Scenes published by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq of the long-range Al-Arqab (advanced cruise) missile towards occupied Haifa.
https://t.me/FotrosResistance/4158
I’m just wondering, the footage was captured during night, and the announcement said in the past days, so I’m not really sure if it has any correlation with today’s explosion at Haifa. Might be a big coincidence, or the news about Haifa explosion might have been published with a delay.

Speech HIGHLIGHTS of the Mujahideen Brigades spox ‘Abu Bilal’
• We bid farewell to a group of heroic martyrs, including leaders, and fighters.
• On the 7th of October, we, along with our brothers in other resistance factions, captured many Zionists.
• Since the start, we targeted 27 military vehicles with anti-armor rockets and explosive devices, which led to their complete or partial destruction and the killing and wounding of those inside them.
• We bombed the Zionist settlements surrounding Gaza with approximately 69 rocket salvos.
• We destroyed military gatherings and concentrations of vehicles and soldiers 49 times.
• We targeted 6 military helicopters, which led to them being directly hit.
• We shot down 3 reconnaissance drones, including the Hermes-900, in a joint operation with the Qassam Brigades.
• We targeted a naval boat off the shores of the Gaza Strip with a Sa'ir missile.
• We targeted entrenched Zionist forces with anti-fortification & anti-personnel shells 9 times, killing and wounding their soldiers.
• We carried out 6 sniping operations against Zionist soldiers.
• We seized many weapons and military equipment.
• We thwarted 2 naval landing operations by Zionist forces on the shores of the Gaza Strip and forced them to retreat, carrying deaths and injuries.
• Together with the Al-Qassam Brigades, we targeted 3 Zionist drones, and we also participated with the Al-Quds Brigades in bombing with rocket bursts and sniping a soldier.
• As for our valiant shores, we carried out many shelling operations against military vehicles, engaged in many clashes with enemy forces, and confronted their repeated incursions.
• We tell the enemy that the alleged claim of your defeated army to control the northern Gaza Strip is nothing but an illusion that you are trying to market. Our victorious forces have carried out a series of air, land and sea defense operations. We have presented evidence that proves the truth of our statement.
We have shown scenes of part of our operations, and we will show other scenes successively, God willing.
• Let the enemy know that his crimes will only make us more steadfast and adhere to our path until the occupation is wiped out from all of our land.

Re: 2023 Israel–Hamas war #3
As he says this is part of a long interview. We are getting close to Israel going down the drain in many ways. As a nuclear power this has to be worrying for the rest of us.
Arnaud Bertrand
@RnaudBertrand
This is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary interviews of a former senior US government official on Gaza. This is Chas Freeman, former Assistant Secretary of Defense and former US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
Key points in the video:
He agrees that many of the victims of Oct 7th were killed by the Israeli army in the form of "undisciplined fire by helicopters with hellfire missiles or by tanks with incendiary rounds directed at buildings". In the case of the victims of the music festival he even says they "were largely killed, it appears, by hellfire missiles and by other undisciplined fire by Israeli forces".
To him this "disgrace in military terms" stems from a "lack of discipline and training necessary to respond" but also from the IDF's "Hannibal directive", which "says that rather than get into bargaining over hostage exchange you should just kill the Israeli hostages along with their captors."
He says that with Oct 7th "Hamas had 2 objectives":
1) "Put the Palestinian self-determination issue back on the global agenda", something he says they've "succeeded" in doing since they're is "widespread recognition outside Israel that only self-determination for Palestine in the form of a 2-state solution can provide security to Israel". He says that even in "the US, which has a larger Jewish population than Israel, many Jews have come to realize that this is the case.
Younger Jews in particular in the U.S. are very disillusioned with Zionism and don't want to suffer contagion from it in the form of antisemitism, which is actually growing now as a result of Israeli actions".
2) "Give Hamas enormous popularity among Palestinians because they are seen as having stood up, as having been willing to accept death rather than captivity". He refers to Norman Finkelstein's "analogy of slave revolts in the U.S." and particularly the "1831 revolt by Nat Turner, a well-educated very intelligent enslaved African who led a slave revolt in Southern Virginia which had as its objective the murder of every white person they encountered." He says it "raises a moral question: 'Is the violence of the slave-owner morally the same as the violence of the slave trying to end that violence?'. The same moral question arises with Israeli oppression of Palestinians versus Palestinian resistance to oppression."
All in all he concludes that much like the violence against African-Americans that followed slave revolts in the 19th century, the Israeli vengeance against Palestinians "won't be remembered fondly by anyone in the future". In fact he goes as far as saying that "when people think of Israel in the past they thought of it as a refuge for the victims of the Holocaust... now they will think of it as the home of perpetrators of genocide.
When they think of Israel, they will think of burned buildings and dead babies. This is an image problem of a fundamental nature and from the point of view of Israel it strips Israel of its protection by charges of antisemitism against anyone who is critical of Israel because to be critical of people who are carrying out genocide cannot be antisemitism, it cannot be considered immoral. Antisemitism is a despicable attitude but to oppose genocide by Israel is not."

I don't think that should be here in the 'fighting' thread. Should we have a new thread on that topic, if so where?

Where else in the World could this happen? A foreign power flying fighter jets uninvited over a neighbouring countries capital.
Israel does this because it believes that intimidation is still a valid weapon. Its world is changing and it doesn't realise it yet.
One day Syria will repay Lebanon (more specifically Hezbollah) the debt in blood that it owes it. Perhaps with AD on their joint border providing the air cover that the Israelis have not allowed Lebanon to have itself. Iran has some interesting systems that I'm sure it would like to see tested.

Re: 2023 Israel–Hamas war #3
The Islamic Resistance In Iraq announced that it had attacked Haifa city with 'Arqab' cruise missile. A little later, local sources in Haifa reported that an explosion was heard in this city. The published images from Haifa show a successful attack!
This is the first attack with cruise missiles on the city of Haifa and it was successful. Successful attacks on Haifa will undoubtedly change the equation of war...
The important technological point of this attack is that the Israeli regime's radar systems did not detect this missile and even the alarm sirens did not sound.
This event is an important development in the war with Israel because a significant part of Israel's important and strategic facilities, including refineries and energy facilities, are located in this port and can be easily targeted if necessary.

Re: 2023 Israel–Hamas war #3
Latest Military Situation In Gaza Strip; 93rd Day Of Fighting – Israeli Forces Retreats From Northern Gaza
As we reported yesterday (https://t.me/iswnews_en/9433) that the Israeli regime has been retreating from more areas in the northern Gaza Strip; this issue has been confirmed today following the publication of videos and images of battlefields from northern Gaza. Also, senior member of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas Osama Hamdan emphasized this afternoon (Jan 7) that the Israeli regime has retreated from the northern Gaza Strip.
However, it is necessary to mention that Israeli army forces are present in small parts of western areas of Beit Lahia city and western Al-Tawam Street, but they will probably also retreat soon. Israeli forces entered the northern Gaza Strip during the first days of the war and will now leave those areas in the final stage of their retreat.
In the south of Gaza City, according to available information, the tenth street has been determined as the last line of retreat for the Israeli regime’s army forces. In other words, the Israeli regime’s military forces have retreated from neighborhoods such as Al-Zeitoun, Tel Al-Hawa, Al-Sheikh Ijlin, and so on, to behind the tenth street. It seems that these areas will remain under Israeli occupation until the end of the Israeli regime’s operation in the center of the Gaza Strip.
So, what did the Israeli regime achieve in the northern Gaza Strip?
Yesterday (Jan 6), the spokesperson for the Israeli regime’s army claimed that Israeli armed forces have completed dismantling Hamas’s military structure in the northern Gaza Strip! And that the Israeli regime’s military forces have done so many efforts and that how many commanders and fighters they have killed and how many tunnel networks we have destroyed, etc., and now the focus of the Israeli regime’s army is on operations in the center and south of the Gaza Strip.
However, contrary to the Israeli regime’s claim, the fact is that the Israeli regime did not even come close to achieve its main goal of destroying the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas even for a moment during the Gaza war and its only achievement in the northern Gaza Strip was destruction of buildings and mass murder. It is certain that the Israeli regime will not succeed in achieving its goal in the center and south of the Gaza Strip either.
On the other hand, it is true that so far, international observers have witnessed unprecedented destruction in northern Gaza and some Palestinian resistance commanders and fighters have been martyred, and a network of tunnels has been destroyed, but all of these can be replaced and repaired. Tunnels and buildings will be rebuilt, and forces will be replaced. The very important point is that during these three months, the Israeli regime never managed to take full control of the northern Gaza Strip, and now after the withdrawal of occupying forces from this region, Palestinian fighters are still present in Gaza and have control over the areas.
In the center of the Gaza Strip, clashes continue in Al-Bureij and Al-Mughazi refugee camps as well as around Al-Nuseirat refugee camp. The Israeli regime’s armed forces have made partial advances in the Juhr al-Dik area. Also, the Israeli regime’s military forces have advanced between Al-Bureij and Al-Mughazi refugee camps and have reached Salah al-Din Road, the main highway that runs through the strip from north to south and connects all of its towns. Given that the Israeli regime’s forces have been dispatched from the northern Gaza Strip to the central and southern axes of the Gaza Strip, ground battles in this axis are truly unequal, and Palestinian resistance fighters face a difficult task of preserving these areas.
In the south of the Gaza Strip, clashes continue in the central neighborhoods of Khan Yunis city, and the Israeli regime’s army is struggling to make progress in this area. The steadfastness and resilience of Palestinian resistance fighters in Khan Yunis are exemplary. According to the latest field information, the Israeli regime’s armed forces have advanced several blocks along Jamal Abdul Naser Street and Osama Al-Najjar Street.
Khan Yunis, like other areas, has witnessed a lot of destruction. After advancing in each area, the Israeli regime’s occupying forces explode and destroy buildings and homes as much as possible. Large parts of eastern Khan Yunis have been completely destroyed so far.

I agree, being a court case and an international one I would say it does not belong here in the militaries section... but the ICC is not free or fair so I would put it in the general discussion section in the international politics sub section...
Someone could make a general ICC thread, or a specific one for this proposed topic.

The BBC broadcaster asks Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi:
What is your connection to what is happening in Gaza while you are miles away in Yemen ?!
Al-Houthi: So Biden and Netanyahu live in one apartment?
And the French president lives on the same floor?
And the prime minister lives in the same building? Or are they thousands of miles apart?
