It also sucked all the ex soviet equipment, weapons and ammo from eastern europe, so while the US MIC is now going to make money the performance potential of HATO has collapsed because now they will operate with fragile expensive shit that is too expensive to buy in the volumes you are going to need it in and most of it will fail on the battlefield because Russia has now learned how to deal with it.

It has cost Russia men and lives and material, but Russia has also gained independence and been properly separated from western and west looking Russian oligarchs that were just sponging off the Russian economy. We hear about Russian billionaires extracting 60 million a year from Russian ports so their nieces can live it up in New York (in the US, not Ukraine). Now that money drain is severed and that port will get investment and growth for everyone to benefit from. Western companies are getting forced to sell up for cents on the dollar for established companies they invested enormous amounts of money to set up and they are there because they are generating good income... good income that will now remain in Russia.

Russia has suffered pain but it has been worth it I believe because it has dragged Russia kicking and screaming out of the western web to a place where they can grow and thrive and develop together with the rest of the world where truly huge amounts of money can be made fair and square without screwing over your new trading partners.

It is good that the west is so evil and self centred and it is good they are displaying this evil to the world.

Something funny and sad. The name Ukraine is very similar to the Russian word "ukrast", to steal. It was some sort of mental block
that I did not catch this one a long time ago, but Ukraine sounds like land of theft or stolen land. It is rather fitting given the historical
reality. There was no Ukraine in the 1200s. All claims about Knyaz Vladimir being an Ukr are total BS. Kievan Rus as not any Ukraine.
It was historical Russia. "Ukrainian" history is indeed stolen Russian history.

Ukraine is combination from "У" which is old russian word for "next to" and you can hear it in small villages said by old people and "Край" which means Border or Rim.

This is also the reason why in all slavic languages it's "Na Ukrainu" and not "in Ukraine". You can't drive into a border/rim only next to it. It's not that deep. Ukrainians are all people who lived next to the Border of the West even the conquered and new citizens which were and still some are Polish by blood.

Kievan Rus' did never exist as a state, it's a term by Mikhail Maximovich a Russian historian from Imperial Russia which describes the period when Kiev became the capitol of Rus' and political unification and some reforms were performed.

I know that Ukraina is a corruption of Okraina which literally means edge or border land.  

Kievan Rus was like Germany and Italy before unification.   A collection of principalities.   Some clown did not invent it, it was a real thing.
It was inhabited by Russians as can be defined as Russians.   Like Germans or Italians in 1100.   There was no such thing as Ukrainians
until they were created by a combination of Polish assimilation after the destruction of Kievan Rus (razing of Kiev) by the Tatar-Mongol
horde in the 1200s, and subsequent western meddling including in Austria-Hungary which occupied a substantial portion of western Ukraine.  

But the Malorussians who inhabited the Kiev region in the 1890s did not identify as Ukrainians.   They were assimilated by the Bolsheviks
in their Soviet Ukraine project, stitched together from the ethnic Russian lands of Novorossiya, Malorossiya and what can be called
Ukraine in the west.   The Ukr mova was imposed on this concoction even though the Soviets claimed to respect the ethnic rights of
all the peoples.   This was BS and mostly involved carving up Russia just like in Tito's Yugoslavia Serbia was carved up "to respect the
rights of Albanians, Hungarians and Bosniaks".

The story involves the man getting tired of his wife's "unhinged" jealousy and choosing to try his luck with the beautiful bus stop girl. Taking out the
battery means that he was not going to rewind time for his wife again. But another nuance is that he may have actually been tempted by the
pretty girl at the bus stop so his wife was not totally wrong to be jealous. (There was no outright infidelity.)

The clock battery aspect is silly. He may need to rewind time for his potential new wife. It is not made clear whether the magic clock is tied
to only function for his original wife.
