That brings me a conclusion, that Korean missile program might be actually more advanced than I thought

Re: DPR Korea Space and Missiles
These North Korean missiles use a clone of the RD-250 engine. It is the same engine used in the R-36 missile. Supposedly the North Koreans got the technology from Ukraine after the fall of the Soviet Union. It uses modern hypergolic fuel combination from the 1960-70s. i.e. N2O4/UDMH. This means modern North Korean missiles use higher energy and longer lasting fuel than previous North Korean missiles.ALAMO wrote:Maybe I am fooling myself, but exhaust flames colours&shape look suspiciously similar to Proton-M and some other, modern, missiles/carriers.

The last North Korean nuclear test in 2017 was of a magnitude that was 10x that of the bomb which destroyed Hiroshima. The DPRK really is in its endgame now in consolidating its nuclear capabilities.

ICBMs and Space launch rockets use different fuel types, as a general rule ICBMs have to sit fuelled up ready to launch for years at a time without regular maintenance.... every few years you check batteries and electronics and pressure in the fuel tanks to ensure there are not leaks or problems, but rockets like Proton are normally fuelled up before launch because some of their fuels are very very cold or so volatile you don't want it sitting there for too long in case something happens.
But as mentioned access to Ukrainian scientists and also likely relaxed secrecy from Russia and China and Iran can only lead to advancements... if the west is going to bully these countries then they have the right to protect themselves... if you don't isolate and threaten and attack any of these countries they are hardly any threat to you... a concept the west does not understand.
U.S. urges China and Russia to send strong message to North Korea after missile launch
Hahaha... yeah... when the US says NK or Iranian missiles are a threat to the world what they mean is they are a threat to us dominating the region these small states live in... they are infringing on our domination of the planet... to which all serious non western countries put on a stern face and wag a finger at these small states and say in a serious voice... good on you brother...
U.S. expresses "alarm" over activity at North Korea's nuclear test site, says it suggests the country could be preparing for a nuclear test
Why alarm America? You had agreements with NK and Iran where they basically agreed to give up nuclear weapons ambitions in return for security guarantees and no sanctions and normal trade. You fucked over both countries and so now they are pretty much obliged to develop and deploy nuclear weapons... that was the deal.

Clearly not because the company along with Investors are going to reimburse gamers their money back so I guess it's lost. Very clever and that's loads of money gone.

Re: DPR Korea Space and Missiles
North Korean nuclear warheads
According to an official North Korean report , on March 27, 2023, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the DPRK Nuclear Weapons Institute. The materials from this visit showed a nuclear warhead developed in the DPRK. As far as can be understood from the diagrams on the wall, this is now a standard nuclear warhead mass-produced in the DPRK for various missiles, 600-mm guided missiles, etc. The name of the nuclear warhead is "Hwasan-31" (화산-31), that is, "Volcano-31" in Russian.

Re: DPR Korea Space and Missiles
New tests of the North Korean analogue of the Poseidon underwater system
Original taken from a colleague imp_navigator in New test of the North Korean mini- analogue of "Poseidon" and new missile launches , whose task is called "secret arrival in a submerged position in the area of combat operations and the destruction and destruction of enemy ship groups and large ports by creating a super-powerful radioactive tsunami due to underwater explosions", was officially announced
March 24, 2023. Apparently, the device is functionally analogous to the Poseidon ocean multi-purpose system, which has been created in Russia for a long time, although, apparently, the North Korean system is equipped with a non-nuclear power plant. Now the DPRK has announced new tests of the apparatus.
Pyongyang, 28 March. /CTAC/- - From March 25 to March 27, the DPRK National Defense Academy conducted another test of the strategic underwater weapons system.
The nuclear unmanned underwater offensive vehicle of the Hail-1 type, involved in the test on the afternoon of March 25 in Wonsan Bay, swam under water in 41 hours and 27 minutes along a sawtooth and oval trajectory defined on the East Korea Sea with a length of 600 kilometers. And in the morning of March 27, it reached the intended target area - the sea in front of Hwade County, North Hamgyong Province, where its test warhead definitely exploded under water.
As a result of the test, all the tactical and technical characteristics and underwater flight technical indicators of this system were accurately assessed, and its reliability and safety were confirmed.
